The space was cute and intimate, but it is in a small house (?) so just be mindful of noise. Attentive service. The food was great. We got the pad see ew, ribeye salad, and crab fried rice to share. I would get all three of these dishes again! The pricing was standard. The portions could be bigger, but it was tasty so I'm not complaining. They had yummy cocktails too. Make sure to ask for a cocktail menu!
Excellent customer service! I messed up the reservation time for 9 people and they still accommodated us. We appreciated that so much. The food was top notch and they have a nice selection of proteins. There are lots of seafood options as well as braised short ribs. I got the Khao Soi with tofu with thick and creamy coconut curry. Delicious! Make sure to order dessert! The coconut creme brûlée was YUM-O!
This is a super cute little Thai spot on Broadway. The floral decor was beautiful. The service was friendly and fast. The Thai ice tea was creamy but not too sweet. The drunken noodles were tasty and had really nice spice.
Such a cute spot with a gorgeous interior! I believe it is a house turned into a restaurant if I'm not mistaken. My boyfriend and I came here around 9:30pm on a Friday (they are open till 11 Fridays) and there were a few people there but still open seating available. I ordered the vegetable egg rolls, which were absolutely delicious and it came with a plum sauce. It was sweet and balanced out the flavors of the egg rolls really nicely. For my main meal I got the pad see ew and it tasted great. I wish I asked for it to be spicy, because it was a bit bland. There were only 3 small pieces of broccoli unfortunately, I do wish there was more. The service was great here and we had the sweetest waitress. They had tootsie rolls you could take for a sweet treat after which was a nice touch! Would highly recommend checking this place out.
After hearing how this restaurant was owned by a Michelin chef from Vegas, I really wanted to give it a try. I came one day for dinner service with a friend and we had a great time. The restaurant is located in a house on a busy street, so it may be a bit difficult to find parking, but we just parked in the neighborhood. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated with flowers hanging from the ceiling and a warm, inviting ambiance. Service was very very kind the whole time and very patient in explaining the different dishes to us. While they offer your traditional Thai dishes such as pad thai and pad kra pow, they also offer more unique dishes under the "Chef's Recommendation". We ordered the Massamun Curry Short Ribs and the Crab Stir-Fry and both were delicious. The curry was flavorful and the short ribs were braised to tenderness heaven. Meanwhile, the crab stir-fry was unique and I've never had anything like it before. Plenty of crab and lots of flavor. We also had the Thai Coconut Creme Brulee for dessert and it was also delicious (but I didn't taste coconut flavor that much). Overall, I had a great time here and I highly recommend to try the Chef Recommendations if you were to come!

Finally got to try this hidden gem. The food was so flavorful and delicious. I love all of the flowers on the wall, made it perfect for a yap session with the girls. Everything on the menu looks so good. It was hard to choose, but I ended up getting the clams and the flavor was so delicious. Definitely had to end the meal with a coconut crème brûlée. And their lava cake looked amazing. Great service and definitely will have to come back again.
Such a pretty atmosphere! Decorated with hanging flowers and string lights, the space radiated a warm spring feeling. I'd recommend making a reservation as the place is quite small and intimate, leading to tables filling up quickly. It's located in a building that looks to be a previous residential home which is oh so Portland. We ordered the Massaman Curry Short Ribs, Yellow Curry, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The curries were both rich in flavor, creamy, yet light. The Yellow Curry had a savory taste while the Massaman was sweet and gave hints of cinnamon. Both noodle dishes were above average in flavor, texture, and execution. Our party left with full tummies and happy hearts!
I guess I'm disappointed that this restaurant didn't live up to the hype for me. Don't get me wrong the service and food was good to average and the decor was lovely. The food for the price point was pretty expensive and wouldn't call it exceptional. My husband had the pork belly and said it was tender but very bland. I had the sea bass and it was thin cut and over seasoned. It's definitely not on par with any Michelin star dining I have experience and I think that hype set me up for disappointment.
Food here is very good, everything tastes fresh and the flavor profile is multidimensional and on point! The biggest plus - they are open until midnight for dine in or takeout! What??? Yes! In a city that shuts down early, this was music to my ears! So many times after happy hour drinks with friends, I'm still hungry and now I know a place where I can stop by for delicious takeout after 9pm. Late night hours wouldn't matter unless the food was good. It is! The Pad Kee Mao was my favorite, the Thai basil giving this dish one of its signature flavor components. The tender chicken, veggies and wide rice noodles all dancing in a sauce that definitely had a kick but was rounded out by some sweet, acid and sour. Wish the dish had more rice noodles, then it would have been perfection. There are bench and table seats outside on the lower front porch, a great place to have a meal and people watch. Inside strands of faux flowers hanging from the ceiling add color, ambiance, and charm. Lots of tables and chairs in the various rooms of this old house. Great neighborhood restaurant right on NE Broadway. I no longer live in the neighborhood but will be stopping by Charm frequently to satisfy my craving for legit Thai food.
Absolutely loved the ambience here, the friendly staff and the food is just delectable. This is hands down one of my favorite Thai food places in Portland. We ordered the Massaman Curry Short Ribs, the Pad See EW, and the Pork Cha Su along with the Lychee Mojito, a Bangkok Sweet night, and Sapporo. The portions are great for sharing, the flavors and meat are cooked to perfection. The drinks were good, I preferred the Bangkok sweet night to the Mojito but, of course drinks are a matter of preference. This meal was not cheap but the price to portion and value for the food we ate made it totally worth it. I am already thinking about when I will eat here again. We also arrived early for our reservation and they were able to seat us early. When our meal was delayed the chef came and talked to us. I loved the service here and will definitely go back!
We went for dinner Friday night. The ambiance was nice and the service was great, but the food was mediocre at best. The drunken noodles didn't taste authentic and it came with bamboo which usually doesn't come with it, and it was a miss. The portion was small for the price as well The yellow curry wasn't presentable and watered down - tasted more like a soup than curry. Also felt like the tofu was added last minute and didn't carry any flavor at all. They can prepare dishes vegan which is nice but otherwise I'd skip for sure.
Unfortunately our experience was less than ideal. We were really looking forward to trying a new Thai food restaurant, however the food and service did not meet expectations. We added our names to a list and the host stated to come back in 45 mins or they would call us if it was sooner. When we returned our names were crossed off the list and we never received a call. After placing our order we waited a hour for our food. In addition, The server assured us the dish we ordered was not spicy and when it arrived it was so spicy we couldn't eat more than a bite. The server offered to bring us milk but not to remove the food from the bill or replace with a non spicy option. The pad Thai was amazing! I wish the experience was better because the location is so cute and I love the decor.
Decided to branch out and try a new thai place - - and so glad we did! Menu had lots of yummy options, service was super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. No alcohol at this place so we started with water. We had 2 orders of fresh rolls - - one with tofu, the other with shrimp - - delicious, crisp and fresh. The peanut sauce so yummy, next time I will order extra :) Also ordered the pad see ew with tofu and the pumpkin curry with chicken - - both with medium spice which had a decent amount of heat. Flavor was good, just wish there were more veggies, but I'm always looking for more veggies. This restaurant is located in a house, with the entrance up several steps. It has both indoor and outdoor seating - - we chose indoor because it was super hot yesterday. The bathroom is straight back from the entrance. No parking lot so you will have to look a but for street parking. read more
Such a cute restaurant, I love the decors!! Food was fantastic. Ordered the Moo Ping, Shrimp Fresh Roll, & Drunken Noodles w/ Tofu. Everything was delicious! Reminded me so much of the authentic thai food I've had in Bangkok - oh, it brought back fond memories. The only thing that bugged me was that certain items weren't on the menu or already sold out. I mean we were there at 6:30 PM and we were the only table seated at the time. So, I was kind of shocked that certain things weren't avail. on the menu. But I'll def come back and try their curry and thai fried rice. read more

This place is so cute. Saw this place on someone's instagram and knew I had to try. The service was really attentive and super quick but they weren't too packed when I went. I had the braised short rib curry and omg it was soo good. The meat was like melting in my mouth and it was falling off the bone. I 100% recommend. They offered me some extra chili sauce but I thought it was perfect flavor already. I will definitely be back because there were other things on the menu I had my eye on and looks like they have a nice patio for outdoor dining. read more

Right away when I stepped into the restaurant I was warmly greeted by the server. The ambience is top notch for the perfect date night. There's lots of flowers decorated in the main floor where all the tables are! We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp which was super flavorful and saucy. both the yellow curry and the recommended massaman curry short ribs were delicious! The ribs was pleasantly soft and the yellow curry was tasty! Would recommend all! read more
The ambiance was so perfect for a date night. It was my first visit to this lovely Thai restaurant. It was family run and so many delicious flavors in the food served. I would recommend calling ahead for reservations as the restaurant is very small, but totally worth the wait for the food. Definitely perfect for a night out with loved ones or a lover. read more

I made a reservation here for 8 people and it was perfect. The place had really good ambiance and it felt really homey. The food was delectable and was pretty affordable! It was my birthday and they brought out a little lava cake for me. I'm so glad I went here and I'll be back! read more

I stopped here after picking up a friend from the airport. We were hoping to have dinner here, but they only allowed us to get take out. They say they're open till midnight, but they stop serving at like 11pm. I was sad we couldn't eat there because the inside is cute and charming. It is nicely decorated with flowers along the walls and ceiling. We ordered take out from the front and our food was ready in about 10/15 minutes, which is pretty fast. We got the Basil Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, and Tom Kha Soup. All three dishes were delicious! It was a good amount of food for two very hungry people. We only had a little bit of fried rice and soup leftover. The Pad See Ew was very tasty and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Basil Fried Rice also had a good flavor and the rice wasn't mushy. Both dishes had a great array of vegetables in them. The flavor of the Tom Kha Soup was also amazing! It was sour and the right amount of creamy. I only wish that there was more in the soup. We got tofu for our protein and I didn't expect the soup to only have tofu and a few mushrooms. I wish there had been some type of green vegetable in the soup too. Besides that each dish was amazing and I'll definitely come back here! read more

3.5/5. While there was nothing necessarily wrong with the food, I don't think it competed with other Thai places around town. The flavors were good but I wish there was more that made it stand out. Service was super friendly but I thought could be a little more attentive. My favorite thing here was the Tom Kha! I only wish the portion was larger! read more
Had hands down one of the best meals of my life here!! Came here for dinner for my birthday with four friends and we shared everything family style. We had the Tom Kha soup which I could've drank a whole barrel of. We also had the Massaman curry short ribs which we couldn't stop raving about, the crab fried rice that had perfectly cooked soft shell crab, the pad thai which was of course on point, and the spicy basil clams which were some of the best clams we all said we've ever had. The service was wonderful and the chef came out many times to check on us and deliver meals. It's also so so cute inside. Can't wait to come back!! read more

i called to make a reservation for 8 PM two hours in advance on a friday evening, and i was greeted by a lovely worker who kindly told us that they would be able to fit us in! i was very excited. upon arriving, my first impressions of the restaurant was that it was small, but so cute. the restaurant is located inside of a house (how cool fr) and offers indoor and outdoor seating. inside, they had faux flowers dangling from the ceiling, and the tables were all set nicely. all the tables were filled with patrons and we were led a few short steps to a semi secluded seating area that fit our party of seven perfectly. i wasn't able to catch our waitresses' name, but she was very kind! food wise, we ordered five dishes: the stir fry mix veggies, pad kee mao, pad thai, crab fried rice, and the panang curry. the protein that they offer here are shrimp, chicken, or tofu. we opted for shrimp and chicken for our dishes. overall the taste was really good, presentation was phenomenal, but appearance wise seemed a bit small. do not be fooled! these five dishes shared family style perfectly fed a party of 7. i would pass on the stir fry mix veggies next time. tip for the crab fried rice: smash the crab into the rice for better taste experience! read more

Soooo good and this sht is THAI SPICY. I had to stop eating bc it was so spicy but I knowingly ordered spicy things. If you're a wimp like me don't order the two chili items lol. It was still so delicious tho. I ate more when I got home after my mouth had a chance to rest . Mussaman short rib, the seafood plate, and drunken noodles were great. I would pass on the crab rolls next time. Great service too. Try them out you won't regret it. read more

Very charming, indeed! The ambiance was adorable and lavish, with charming decor and elegant table settings. The service was top-notch, with the chef making rounds to each table to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. We ordered the Crab Sticks, Pork Cha Shu, and Pad Thai, all of which were delectable. Portions are a perfect size for one sitting, do not expect to have enough for leftovers. read more

As promised, me and my boyfriend came here for a post-work date night yesterday, and based on our experience we will be regularly supporting this business! We got there late, between 10-11, so we were the only people. The converted dining room is charming and welcoming, and the cutlery is beautiful. Our server was very friendly and accommodating! We were given a complimentary cucumber salad to start and cucumber-lemon water, and for a starter we tried the shrimp cakes w/lychee and spicy mayo. For main, my bf ordered the pad see ew and a small bowl of the Tom kha. I ordered the avocado curry, which was new to me. All the food was wonderfully flavored, light, and delicious! There were other things on the menu like the sea bass that we will have to try for special occasions! Towards the end of the meal, our server made small talk with us, and then the chef came out to greet us. Overall, our experience at Charm was fun, welcoming, and yummy, and we'll definitely be coming back! read more

I tried to go somewhere else for a late dinner on a Sunday, but that other place had closed early for a private event. And I'm so lucky they did! There aren't a ton of food options open late on a Sunday, but this place popped up and I'm always in the mood for Thai. Atmosphere: Charming. The place is aptly named. It's located in a house, and the dining rooms feel like you're sitting in a cozy living room or parlor. Faux flower arrangements cascading from the ceiling add some pleasant softness. Not sleek or modern or elegant, but comfortable and homey. The service: Friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly, my water glass was never empty, and our server always had a smile for us. The food: Delicious. Truly. My partner and I ordered our go-to dishes for trying a new Thai place--Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and a curry (this time, the Avocado Green Curry). Slam dunks all around. The Tom Kha was delicate but not bland. The Pad Thai was flavorful--not overly sweet or peanutty--and the tofu we picked for a protein was the perfect texture. The curry was delightfully complex without being too spicy, and on top of that, it was probably the most beautiful presentation I've seen on a table in a long while. We got to talking with the chef when he came to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Turns out, he spent years working in Michelin star restaurants in Las Vegas, which certainly explains the immaculate plating. If you eat with your eyes first, it's a shock I didn't fill up before my first bite. If you're in the area and in the mood for Thai, give this place a try. It's pretty new and a bit tucked away, but it's definitely a hidden gem. read more
My friend told me that this was owned by a former michelin star chef and i totally believe him. the ambience was so gentle and inviting, i felt like i was in someone's kitchen dinner table. the setup in general was soothing, and for a really cold and windy day, the vibe was everything i needed in that moment. The waiter was super sweet and the service was fast. we ordered the thai iced teas, which as per usual to thai restaurants are always sweet but homey. we also got the panang curry (the STAR of the dinner), basil fried rice that i basically fell in love with, and the drunken noodles which were also very flavorful and enjoyable. im so sad im not in portland often because this was genuinely so interesting and would come here again! read more
