A "full size" versus a long would be double the meat and cheese. The cheese steak is cheesy and meaty with bread, produce and mayo. Good fix for when you want a cheese steak. I have actually seen this food truck before but never had the opportunity to order from here so I thought today would be a good day. It seems like their claim to fame is that they use halal meat. I ordered the loaded P and a side of fries. I was pretty underwhelmed with the overall meal. The roll looked like it was bought from a general store and the cheese looked like nacho cheese you get in a can. I will give them credit that the fries tasted fresh but again, I was overall underwhelmed with the whole meal. Truthfully I would have considered giving this place four stars but the total cost of this meal came out to more than $30, which is a bit crazy. I understand we are going through an inflation period but a cheesesteak and fries costing that much is insane. Had the meal blown me away, I would have understood the high price. There may not be many cheesesteak shops in the Bay Area but there are enough where I can compare the quality and price of those shops to this truck. The quality of the sandwiches is definitely similar but the other places are way cheaper. Like I mentioned earlier, if you are going to be a truck that specializes in an American classic and are going to charge a hefty price, then be prepared to impress me. Unfortunately this truck did not pass that bar.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. The Cheesesteak Shop staff completely dropped the ball on a very simple order. I specifically requested no tomatoes, no lettuce, and no mayo on both sandwiches, and somehow both sandwiches came loaded with exactly those ingredients. It's not a minor mistake when the order instructions are that clear. On top of that, they even managed to mix up the cheeses on each sandwich, which just shows a complete lack of attention to detail. When you're paying for food, especially something as straightforward as a cheesesteak, you expect the basics to be handled correctly. This wasn't a complicated or custom-heavy order--it was simple, clearly stated, and still got messed up in multiple ways. Pretty disappointing experience overall.
