My wife and I visit Charleston's in Norman weekly and have always been extremely pleased with the menu and service, but I am concerned that one of their more popular deserts, Key Lime Pie, is quite often not available. However, on a very positive note, they have added one of my favorite dishes to the menu: Shrimp Scampi. It's exceptional! read more

Went there with my wife and parents for our anniversary. One of the worst places I have ever been. Was given a glass of tea that had a fresh lipstick stain on it, which did not notice until I had drank about half the glass. I love charlestons food a lot! their baked potato soup is the best I have ever had. Right when you walk in the door you are greeted by lovely hostesses. they are all so friendly and talkative which made me feel very welcomed. although I don't like the outfits they have to wear. it feels like I am in a different decade. the pearls are unnecessary along with the long black dresses and panty hose. they service I had was pretty good, they gave me space and answered all of my questions with confidence. I do not like the way the managers run the restaurant, they seem very fake like all they are their to do is make money, they don't actually care about how you as a customer feel and it shows. other than the management, I loved this place a lot! read more

Charleston's is normally fantastic. However, I had unacceptable service on Memorial Day for lunch. We were a small group of three. Not at all crowded. We have been eating here for years and it is by far my favorite place to eat dinner...It has it all, ribs, steaks, fish and their chicken fried steak is a REAL chicken fried steak like my mom used to make only twice the size. That and the west-end chicken are my favorites. My wife likes the salads, of course. The waitresses and waiters will do what ever it takes to make you happy. Ordered salmon that comes with salad, rice, and vegetables. Caesar salad had way too much dressing. The salmon was undercooked and vegetables were raw not steamed. I asked for no butter and my vegetables had butter. If you are going to charge $19 for this meal at least make an effort to cook it properly. Second time to try the salmon. I will not go back. We've been going to Charleston's in Norman for years and have never had anything go wrong with food or service. Always wonderful. Well, May 19 we took our best friends there for dinner and was astonished at how wrong everything went. We were told the rotisserie chicken was completely out but some would be coming off soon. Well, my friend and I ordered the chicken, so we agreed to wait. After waiting for about 20 minutes the server came back and told us again that there wouldn't be any chicken that it was going to other people. What!? This has never happened to us ever at this restaurant! So I ordered just a salad and so did she. My friend was mad. I have to have gluten free food, so I asked for my salad to have no croutons and honey mustard on the side. My salad came out with it drenched in honey mustard and croutons on the side!!! What??!! Wow! And we had to ask for the crescent rolls. I can't eat them, but the others could. We couldn't believe what was happening! read more

We travel to Norman from San Francisco, CA once or twice a year to visit family. I have been in the hotel and restaurant industry for 40 years and really know service inside and out. We came in for dinner a couple of weeks ago and had the best service and dinner that we have ever had there. Whomever is in charge of training the staff has done a VERY nice job! Griffin was our server and was impeccable! We were unsure of your wines and wanted to order a bottle... He offered a taste between two which we really appreciated and ended up purchasing the more expensive bottle because of it. Everything from beginning to end was very good. Stephanie brought our salads and was so pleasant. We tend to REALLY appreciate ground black pepper and she was very thoughtful in offering to leave the grinder ON the table for use throughout our meal. We will continue to eat there with and without our family throughout our stays Over and over again. Thank you for a memorable meal with fantastic service! Both Griffin and Stephanie MADE OUR NIGHT!
