Went for lunch yesterday and had such a nice time. The inside is beautiful and cozy with its big leather booths and dark wood. I've always had great service at charlestons, sometimes too good because of the amount of times they try to refill your water but hey I guess they just want to keep us hydrated! I usually always opt for the baked potato soup because there really isn't much better but my friend was so excited we were there in a Monday because that meant their roasted tomato and veggie soup was the soup of the day. I ventured out and got that and a ceased salad. The soup was delicious and unloved the little macaroni noodles in it, reminded me of an updated minestrone. The Cesar salad is always delicious and comes with one of their lighter than air honey croissants! The perfect amount of food for $12! read more

Service and food is good. Ambience is good but they never seem to have their excellent pineapple upside down cake.

I am traveling from California and wasn't feeling well. I wanted soup and this location had good reviews and the type of soup I wanted. I Know because I reviewed their menu via their site and the location on yelp prior to coming into the establishment. I was upset on arrival because the soup on the online menu was not the same. I noted that is an issue to the server and asked to speak with management. One thing should never be different and that is what is advertised. I was going to order different but wanted them to know it wasn't cool. It is not a concern of running out of a daily special. I understand that. This is an issue of misrepresentation. Even an item as small as soup can be a cornerstone of proper business. The reason the message is written to the Yelp public is in relation to the reaction I felt from the Manger on Duty. Billy was not very sympathetic, in fact the response was defensive and he quickly commented on the fact he could do nothing. After he saw me getting frustrated I felt he finally opened up and offers to buy a different soup for me. I realize this may be the only time I see a Charleston's. I have not seen this brand in CA, but Billy's demeanor was less than helpful in making me stay at the restaurant. In fact, we left and went to the establishment next door. In the future I will avoid this brand and tell others the same. Poor management of menu and poor disposition is all I need to make my choice and spread what word To who I can. read more

Got the grilled pork chops medium, they were rare., had to microwave. The half chicken so salty my daughter threw it away. Sooooo good! We got the prime rib with an added shrimp skewer, and the sweet carrots. All of it was absolutely delicious. They are a bit pricey, but to me it's well worth what you pay for. The atmosphere is inviting and quiet. Maybe a bit on the dark side, but that doesn't bother us too much. Some may really like that. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic date, or some great food to eat. We will dine here again for sure. Service was good too. read more

Yesterday (Saturday, May 20, 2022) we went to the Charleston's on 240. We've been there several times before and the food abs service have been great. Not on this Saturday. We ordered catfish platter with a side salad. Not our usual. Usually the salad comes with bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and a tiny bit of carrots. Not this tune. Alm we got was lettuce. When we told the waitress all she had to say was "did yiu ask us to leave it off?" No we said. "You could have asked us to bring you the other ingredients" Really? Then the catfish which was premium prices was stiff. And not vey flavorful. The. As the young waitress was picking up the dishes she dropped them all over the floor in front of our table. What more can you say about Charleston's!? I've been dining at Charleston's in multiple locations for over 20 years and the Norman location is top notch. Whether it's at the bar, a private booth, or curbside to-go service; Charleston's is always great! They have a solid selection of wine, they make the perfect margarita and have a generous amount of brews on tap. For food, I recommend Hawaiian marinated steak, pasta, and a salad with their famous champagne vinaigrette dressing. For a side, the carrots are unbelievably good! read more

I ordered a NY Strip Medium Rare. Had to send back two NY Strips. The first was Medium Well. The second was totally Rare. I gave up and asked for a Filet. It came out blood red Rare. I sent it back it came back Medium Rare Yay but dry as a bone. I've NEVER had this experience EVER in a Charleston's. My daughter and I went there for a late lunch during the recent rain/sleet storm and had the most wonderful experience. All of food was amazing, especially the Carrot Cake (wow), but our service was even more amazing. I LOVE this restaurant. They have many different foods of all types and I don't think I've ever ordered something that I didn't like. Their children's menu is good with good options. Now, of course there's the occasional drink refill when you haven't even had a sip, but the costumer service is good and the staff is friendly and always asks you how your day has been. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice place to have a family or birthday dinner. read more

Food was excellent. Party of seven and one plate (chicken) was undercooked, but they remedied. Only noticeable downside was we were there and served an hour before closing and most of the staff was already occupied cleaning and closing up for the night. Service suffered because of it. read more

We love coming here for some great food. The appetizers are great. Everyone loves the dynamite shrimp. The queso and salsa are a must every time. The caesar salad is so divine! I quite like the food here! Every plate and appetizer that comes out is excellent. The salmon Caesar is a must, and the perfect margarita does not disappoint. It's definitely enough for two people to share if you're in to sharing your alcohol. The service has been pretty okay here, they always seem busy when I'm there, it seems pretty popular. The Brussels sprouts were soaked in butter so if you like manna from heaven then you should maybe get those. read more

We like Charlestons as it reminds us of Houston's restaurant in Dallas. Their steaks and salads are top-knotch and they have a great bar area where you can sit and eat dinner as well. Service is good and the food has yet to dissapoint. Recommend. read more

Very nice place. Saturday had an excellent dinner in the bar. The bartender was sweet--I was a little taken back that she asked our names--guess it's that Midwest "friendliness" (or not). Anyway. The food was great, the wine good. Had the chicken piccata--which was not a traditional version--but it was tasty. This version had tomatoes and artichoke along with capers and a lemon based sauce.
