This a a company where their positive reviews are real, not enticed. They did not disappoint, they were excellent to work with every step of the way. They are very responsive when you have question and very thorough about the details of the job. I was able to get an appointment for the following week. Dem and Ace were my installation guys. I could not be happier with them. They were a pleasure to work with and did an incredible installation job. I highly recommend Fuse you will not be disappointed.

Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

Told us we wouldn't be charged for his time but we got a $400 bill for "diagnostics and troubleshooting." On top of this, communication was a mess. Manager called me at 6pm on a Friday and couldn't get two words together, not sure if he was high or just exhausted but it was a super unprofessional call and left me with more questions than answers. Finally got some clarity in an email, but jeez what a mess. Maybe their work quality is good, but I won't be sticking around to find out. I'll be working with someone who is more up front about their work, better at communicating, and doesn't charge so much.

From the very start it was obvious to me that he comes with a wealth of experience and is simply an honest, hard-working man. I didn't have a very big project (sub-panel replacement), but he was still the only electrician from Yelp who paid me the courtesy of visiting my house in person before bidding. He was always on time, always responsive to calls and texts, and was just a pleasure to work with overall. As we talked about many things while he was working on the project, I felt like we became good friends. It quickly became apparent to me that I was talking to a real professional, with tons of experience handling projects of scale incomparable to mine. I learned that over his 45 years in the industry, he was involved in very large projects in key roles, managed rewiring of hospitals, stadiums, thousands of amperes of power, he knows it all. That he simply got tired of the intensity of big business and decided to work for himself and for the regular folk like you and me. And his pricing is very reasonable, too. I'd say you're getting an amazing deal hiring Kelly, with his experience and expertise he could very easily make much, much more as an industrial electrician or manager, he is overqualified for the jobs he is taking on now. But it makes him happy. I would, without a doubt, hire Kelly again and I hope to maintain a long-term relationship with him.

My home had solar installed by Sunnova (they were contracted with my home builder), which now is going bankrupt. Sunnova hasn't responded to any inquiries I've had, or helped me even see if my panels are working, for months. So, I basically have an orphan project. I called around to multiple highly ranked solar companies in the area, trying to see if anyone could help, but all of them were either booked out until the end of the year, and/or they didn't take on any projects they themselves didn't install. Rising Sun Electrify was immediately confident when I called them and shared they've taken on multiple orphan projects, so this is not a big deal. They were able to come immediately the next day to check on how my system was set up, then sent me a proposal later that afternoon for how to get my Enphase box commissioned. After I confirmed I was good to go with the proposal, they were able to schedule me in just 2 days later. Truly incredible service, fast, and very competent as well. Called up EGO and since my lawn mower is still under warranty they said I have to bring my mower to a certified repair shop to get it fixed. Luckily this place is the repair shop. Michael fixed the mower quick and I'm back in business. There was a delay but it wasn't because of Michael. It was because we had to wait for the part from EGO. Yes the price of the mower is way higher than what we're used to but with the warranty and having this shop nearby as my main lawn mower resource, the cost over many years of ownership is going to be cheaper than buying a new mower every two years. These guys are great and I plan to stick with them as my mower resource for many years.

Hugo and Enrique upgraded…read morethe old wire to Romex, replaced all the dated receptacles, and switches, added recessed and art lighting, and rerouted the all the 220 V (baseboard heaters, dryer, car charger, oven) to our 200 amp main panel. He also fixed the kitchen wiring so the breakers no longer trip when we run the microwave. It took about two weeks to do the entire job. First of all, he is the neatest contractor I have ever had in my house. His tools and supples are always neatly tucked away when he leaves the job site. He covers the furniture, and vacuums up with a shop vac after every room was complete. He is very knowledgeable of how houses were made 70 years ago. I expected to have to do major patching and painting, but there were only three small holes during the entire job. Our job was also a mixed space of crawlspace and concrete slab, and he was able to rewire both spaces. His bid was very competitive and he came to the site twice prior to beginning work so that he had a good idea what we wanted. We did change some of the project midstream - we added some fans, and more outlets, so there was a reasonable adjustment to the initial bid, but that was expected. I would use his crew again in a second. I finally have my go to electrician.

Full credit to Rodrigo and Lincon, who were on top of things throughout the project. First, they patiently explained the full roofing process to me in detail when I was getting estimates. This was not my experience with some of the other roofing companies who felt rushed or were asking me to cut corners. In contrast, ELM gave me several alternatives before we zeroed on to a torchdown roof. Next, Rodrigo and Lincon were very communicative on our group chat and kept me apprised of the progress throughout, including tons of photos. Rodrigo was also very proactive in dealing with the city for permits as well as clarifications etc, which happened several times since our city is one of the stricter ones. During all this, we had a running clock since we were in contract to sell the house, but Rodrigo and company kept things in motion, sometimes working late hours to ensure completion on time, which we did with several days to spare. It was also very nice of them to talk to my buyers to tell them about the new roof in detail. I was also pleasantly surprised with their integrity. For example, the roofing torch is huge and heavy and accidentally did some minor damage to the house. They fixed it without questions in a very timely manner. They also provided us with a courtesy cleanup inside the house to cleanup roofing debris after demolition. So yeah, thanks to Rodrigo, Lincon, and their crew, we have a brand new roof and siding. They are polite, professional, reasonably priced, great at communication, and clean up well after themselves. Would recommend them 100/100.

My partner and I happened to get a leak in our roof in basically the luckiest possible place, so we…read moresaw it as soon as it started and it wasn't serious yet, but obviously we still needed it fixed. So we got in touch with ELM Roofing and had them come out to do an inspection. Lucas was great. He identified the issue quickly, stepped us through what our options were, and kept us in the loop the entire time. He checked the roof out with a drone, since it was too high to run a single ladder up, and we got to watch the neighbor's resident hummingbirds go nuts trying to threaten it away. Evidently hummingbirds hate drones! We had our entire roof and the garage roof replaced, because the builder had cheaped out on underlayment materials and is a pain to get to fix anything under warranty. So, y'know, forget him, but this isn't a review about him. We've got a much tougher underlayment now, all the chipped tiles we had have been replaced, and it is quite honestly better than new now. They did clean work, too. Didn't mess up the yard at all, they were fastidious about noise levels and allowed work times, everything you'd hope a certified contractor would do (but do they? Well...many don't, believe me). Quick and thorough, and when the project got interrupted by rain, they kept us informed about that, too. They came out on a Saturday to get ahead of the weather and even let us know exactly what the local weekend construction ordinances were ahead of time so we'd know what to expect. I think that's what I'd say about them the most: No surprises. They don't do anything unexpected with the final invoice, they don't jerk you around, they don't treat you like you won't understand what they're doing. You're fully in the loop at all times and you're treated as a partner in the project. You get exactly the work and quality promised. And it's good work, with a 20 year guarantee. I'd highly recommend them.

From demolition to final walkthrough, the experience was seamless, professional, and stress-free thanks to their exceptional attention to detail. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Every update, change, and decision was clearly and promptly communicated, making it easy for us to stay informed about the progress. We always felt that our concerns were heard and addressed even when we decided to add a separate bathroom upgrade that wasn't in the original scope. Our project was impressively organized from coordinating trades to managing the timing of materials and appliance deliveries. The timeline we were given was realistic and well managed, and they stayed on schedule without ever compromising on quality. When we started planning, many of our friends related horror stories about overruns with their remodeling projects. However, we never faced this issue (much to their envy). I can't say enough good things about Dan and the team at Charles Electric. From the very beginning, Dan went completely above and beyond to help me with my generator problems. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but he genuinely cared about making sure I wasn't left without power while my generator was being repaired. What really impressed me was that Dan provided me with a loaner generator at no charge while mine was being fixed -- something he absolutely didn't have to do. Even more amazing, he ended up not charging me for anything at all. In today's world, that kind of honesty, generosity, and customer service is almost unheard of. It showed me that he truly cares about helping people and standing behind his work rather than just making money. Throughout the entire process, communication was excellent, the turnaround was fast, and I truly felt taken care of the entire time. You can tell Dan takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work and values long-term customer relationships built on trust and integrity. About a month ago the power was off in Emerald Hills (again!) and my generator was turning on but no power was coming out. I called every electrician that came up in a 'near me' search - only one replied that same afternoon: Dan from Charles Electric. He was already on a job but said he would stop by my place on his way home. It was over 90-degrees but he stopped by that same afternoon and quickly arrived at a preliminary diagnosis: the generator's rotor/stator was blown. He took the generator back to his shop and tried for days to see if Duromax could replace that. After it was clear that fixing was going to be close enough to replacing the generator I resigned myself to a big hit for a new one. Dan said he would drop off one of his own generators for me to borrow until I made the decision about what I wanted to replace the old dead one with. Long story short, Dan exercised his personal discount with Duromax to secure a much better generator at $700 less than the best price I could find. I was, and still am, a little stunned at his personal and professional generosity. I cannot recommend Dan at Charles Electric highly enough - the story speaks for itself. read more

This is classic customer service...Call him 650-766-1000! I needed help putting up a bunch of Christmas lights this year to raise our family's spirits. I have a disability. Dan Charles (Charles Electric) responded right away...he actually called me which made the experience better than the usual digital/email 'hurry up and wait'. And even though he was busy, we talked person-to-person and set up a day and time. He and his crew were 15 minutes early, in a good way, with terrific service and a 'real price'...no gouging just because the holidays are busy. A straight shooter. I'll use his services again for all things electrical and recommend them for home improvement projects, solar ideas and maintenance. The Charles Electric team installed a generator for us about a year ago - the install was very smooth and painless, and Dan has been a great resource for maintenance questions since then, and proactively checks in periodically to make sure all works fine. Also: When our neighborhood lost power for 48 hrs around Christmas 2025 due to very bad storms, Dan again proactively reached out to me to check on how our generator was working - good news is that it was working fine and we had full power; bad news was it had been running 48 hrs straight due to prolonged outage - AND, since I was out of town, he stopped by ON CHRISTMAS to check the unit and add some fresh oil. Danny and his crew have been doing work for my family for over 20 years. They are excellent! He is honest, reliable, personable and stands by his work. Here are some of the things he has installed for us over the years: paddle fans, recessed lighting on cathedral ceilings and dimmers. He has troubleshot things over the phone with me. He has always been clear and accommodating, up front, about the job, and has always followed through. We recommend him as often as the need for an electrician comes up! NEGATIVE FIVE STARS. Mr. Charles was hired to install recessed lighting. Simple installations. I found five flagrant electrical code violations and extremely sloppy workmanship, for which he overcharged. I found his work to be wasteful, sloppy, and potentially dangerous. When confronted about the poor quality of his work at an extremely high cost he became agitated and started yelling threats and acting violent. Mr. Charles promised to install several things, then he chose not to follow the work as planned. Demanded money for work not performed. Mr. Charles' preferred tool seems to be a sledgehammer. I purchased a 22KW Generac from Charle's Electric, HMB,CA in December before the great rains arrived. Dan came with his crew and installed the unit without fanfare or issues. It has operated exactly has promoted. We never lost our electricity because 4 seconds after the power is off, the Generac kicks in and full power is restored. Dan and his crew have performed immaculately and I recommend him and the Generac without hesitation. The price quoted was exactly what was suggested. I bought my Kohler backup generator from a Redwood City company that got sold before my first service appointment. In shopping for a new service provider, I discovered that Charles Electric is now certified to install and service Kohler products in addition to Generac. in regards to the performance of Charles electric I was very disappointed. I asked for some help for my generator at my lake house . He was no help at all. He kept me waiting. Dan got back to us the same day we called and was great to communicate with, he responded very quickly to emails and texts. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and reasonably priced. (We did end up getting the upgrade with a different provider, and I can attest to that it's a very, very big job.) Not sure if that's still the case, but just an FYI.
