These people did not deserve any recognition on anything. I left my auto back in May 30, 2022 for ignition replacement. I was only able to pick-it up today. When I went there the business owner "Garry Shidler" asked how I'm going to make a payment cash or card I told him card. He charged me $579.90, I told him "are you sure you're not overcharging me?" And he said, well you know what I feel sorry that it took so long so you don't need to pay me just take the car with you. When we finally went to take the car the license plate were gone both front/back and when I asked Garry where it went? He said "he don't know, I'm not taking responsibility for this". I told him well this is your shop- and it is your job to know where it went? I said, I'm going to call the police and file a stolen report, and he said well if you did that you'll have to pay me? I was like what- 5 minutes ago you said I don't have to pay it because you feel guilty that it took you for four months. Now you're asking again? Sure, money is never a problem for me I'll pay. I handed him my card, he said well I can't accept card it has to be cash. So my brother went to the ATM, and got cash $600 and gave him, but he don't even give us back the change. As someone who is not very familiar with cars, this broke my fear of tire/mechanic shops. The men working were the nicest! They didn't make me feel inferior in knowledge. Went to them for a blown semi truck tire repair. They removed tire and mounted a new one. When they tighten Down the lug nuts they used a electric battery pack impact driver to tighten the lugs and a standard torque wrench ! I was told this is how they do it ! 120 miles later the wheel almost fell off and now it's costing me $2000.00 have my hub repaired . I called them and they basically told me it's not their problem ! Avoid them like the plague !!! read more

This place is the worst! I went in and had my tires changed and they broke my tire sensors and my wheel covers ... ridiculous and they are giving me the run around on fixing it. read more

The Good: Chappell's was very helpful in scheduling me to install tires on my wheels within my lunch hour. I brought them tires and they dismounted the tires from my wheels and mounted and balanced the tires I brought. They drive smoothly, so I can assume they did an acceptable job with the balancing. The Bad: Once I got home and was able to inspect their work, I found that there was new damage to the faces of all 4 of my wheels. The damage was not just clear coat scuffs - it was gouges in the metal caused by their machines. I called to inform them of the damage I found, and I was asked to bring my vehicle back in for them to inspect. I brought the car in and they admitted that the new damage that I pointed out was caused by their employee/machine. The only solution i was offered was to get a refund on the mounting/balancing labor. They refused to offer any compensation to have the damage they caused to my wheels repaired. I was told that is the only option they would give me. I was refunded the cost of the mounting and balancing, but now I am left with damaged wheels due to their negligence. Final Thoughts: Every business that offers a service should make it a priority to make sure their customer is satisfied. This is especially applicable in cases where it is obvious the responsibility or fault falls on the service provider. This was not the case for Chappell's Tire. They refunded me the cost of their labor, but did not take responsibility and offer to have the damage they caused to my wheels repaired. I had heard lots of good things about these guys, and that is the sole reason for me giving them my business. Its unfortunate the great reviews and word of mouth did not meet my expectations. I will not be returning to Chappell's for any future work, nor will I recommend them to my friends or colleagues. read more

Initial visit seemed fine as we hobbled in off the interstate with a blowout on our RV. We wanted 5 new tires and paid around $500. Trusting that the new tires had been installed properly we took off to our next destination. Upon arrival at our campsite we discover the majority of the blownout tire hanging under the wheel and stuck in the brake system. They had put on the new tire without removing the blownout tread from the brake lines and wheel. Perhaps it was because the shop was a dark hole, but I can't ever imagine allowing such shoddy work. We would have gladly paid for further service if we had been informed of this issue. We have emailed them twice prior to this review with zero response. Their poor work could have caused brake failure on our rig or caused our rig to catch on fire as we drove down the interstate with three young children in back. We can only imagine the destruction that could have been caused for many people on the road. Thankfully we found a mobile RV service to come remove the tread and check our brake lines. He was horrified that anyone would leave such an obviously dangerous situation. We usually take great pride in leaving wonderful reviews for places as we travel the country. Unfortunately this business put the lives of our family, and others driving down the road near us, at risk. We are also filing a claim with the BBB in the area. *****Update after speaking with the owner***** After a post on FaceBook messenger I did finally get a call from the owner. No apology, just telling me how his employee may be dumb, but not that dumb. When I mentioned that as a business owner I would expect him to apologize and attempt to make things right. His response was "And just what do you want me to do to make things right? As I said, I will talk to him tomorrow, he is stupid but not that stupid." I asked him if he had seen the pictures I included showing the sections of tire over 3 ft long hanging off the wheel. He just talked over me and said how his employee was dumb. When I commented that this problem could have cost us our lives his only response was "but it didn't". No care or concern what so ever. Seriously, stay away from this place. read more

As a female and a single mom with a 16 year old daughter I know from experience that is easy to find places that will take advantage but it's not so easy to find a place with people like Chappelle Tire! They know what they are talking about and they aren't going to have you spending money you don't need to spend! I took my daughters car in expecting to need 3 new tires (was going to get good used ones),you can imagine my surprise when they came back and told me NONE of them needed replaced just yet! My truck had a shake for a few YEARS that no one could figure out the cause of, I went to Chappelle because I noticed a cut on my tire and come to find out I had been driving on a bad tire with a broken belt that was brand new when I bought it (didn't buy it from them), they replaced it and she drives beautifully now! I won't take our vehicles anywhere else if it's something these guys can do! Great prices with service that you can honestly trust because they are all about doing what's right because they understand that it's the service that creates loyal customers who bring even more loyal business their way! read more

My girlfriends tire blew out on the side of the road and it did some damage to the vehicle as well as ruined the tire. We had it towed to this shop and they were very friendly, affordable and fast. A week later, I had a tire blow and they were the very same. If you have unexpected tire issues, consider this shop. I'll continue to give them my business. read more

We had a mishap pulling a loaded trailer which went off the road and broke the beads on two of the trailer tires. A technician came out with two new tires. After assessing our tires, he said they would be fine. He dismounted, inspected and remounted them. Then he checked the other tires on the trailer and truck to make sure they were ok, and was on his way. The amount he charged us was very reasonable. Our repairman, Bill, was competent and honest.
