Moving to a new city has its perks. Maybe it's a bigger home, a better job, better schools, a nicer…read moreneighborhood, or simply a better place for your family. But something nobody really talks about is having to start over with all the little places you trusted for years. Finding a new restaurant, barber, mechanic, car wash, dry cleaner, and everything in between can be surprisingly difficult. Sometimes it's easier to just drive all the way back to your old city because you already know who you can trust. Thankfully, Holiday 1 Hour Cleaners has become one of those places for us. This is a small family owned business run by Maria, her daughter Sylvia, and their family, and you can feel that difference when you walk through the door. You're greeted, acknowledged, and treated with respect. That sounds like such a simple thing, but unfortunately common courtesy, manners, and making a customer feel welcomed seem to be disappearing from a lot of businesses nowadays. We've brought them everything from dress shirts and dress pants to suits, dresses, and other pieces we actually care about, and they've consistently done excellent work. When you hand someone clothing that was expensive, has sentimental value, or that you need for an important occasion, there's a certain amount of trust involved. Holiday has earned ours. Their prices are fair, the quality of their work has been consistent, and there's ample parking, which makes dropping off and picking up very easy. We used to own a restaurant, so we understand the other side of the counter too. We know how much a compliment, a good review, or simply hearing "thank you, you did a great job" can mean to a small business. People are understandably quick to speak up when something goes wrong, but when someone does their job exceptionally well, sometimes we forget to say anything because we think, "Well, that's their job." It may be their job, but that doesn't mean their effort should go unnoticed. There are real people behind these businesses. People working long hours, dealing with deadlines, caring for other people's belongings, and trying to make every customer happy. A little patience, kindness, and respect goes a long way. Treat people well and, in our experience, Maria and her family will give that same respect right back to you. So when you find a small family owned business that treats you well, charges fair prices, takes care of your belongings, and consistently does good work, support them. Tell them. Leave the review. Recommend them to someone else. Those little things can mean more to a family business than most people realize. Thank you Maria, Sylvia, and the rest of the family for always taking care of us and for making one less part of moving to a new city something we have to worry about. Holiday 1 Hour Cleaners is officially our dry cleaner, and we're very happy we found them.

**BEWARE** I've been…read morea customer here for about 3 years, which is why this situation is so disappointing. My fiancé brought in my coat (retail value $530) to be dry cleaned in February. When he picked it up, it had been severely damaged. The material is melted and ripped, and the coat is no longer wearable. When I followed up with the business, they offered $200, which does not reflect the cost to replace the item. I located the exact same coat currently available for $319 and asked if they could cover that amount so I could replace it, but they refused. They stated the damage was due to the material and not their responsibility. However, the type of damage (melting and tearing) clearly suggests improper cleaning. If the item was too delicate to clean, that should have been communicated before accepting it. They also claimed a warning was given at drop-off, but my fiancé does not recall being told this. Additionally, when I asked about filing a claim, I was told they do not carry insurance. I understand some time has passed, but as a long-time, loyal customer, I expected a more reasonable resolution. This was handled poorly, and I cannot recommend this business based on this experience!

I've been coming to Crystal Rose 2x a month for over 15 years, easily spending a few hundred…read moredollars per month, every month. I regret to say I've picked up my last round of dry cleaning from them. I had some concerns when the new owner, Denice, took over and Luciano was no longer around. At first everything was smooth, service and quality were not impacted. Then Denice turned the business over to her daughter and things seemed to take a turn for the worse. I noticed they couldn't find my clothes where the tag said they were supposed to be. I had to stand and watch the clothes go buy and point out what was mine. I was given someone else's clothes. One of my sports coats was missing from my order and was hanging separately because they had given it to someone else. These things left doubts in my mind, what if that person hadn't brought my clothes back? Who's responsible? This last week was the final straw. I had brought in a few shirts, a blue blazer and a sports coat for cleaning. Shame on me for not checking my items immediately. While packing for a business trip I was laying out my clothes and couldn't believe that they had pressed my blue blazer! Who presses a blazer? You could see all the lines from the pockets and buttons burned into the fabric. The collar and lapel trims were creased and burned! I'm absolutely furious that they would ruin my clothes and not have the integrity to say something. Other than to drop my ruined blazer off at their counter, I will never bring another article of clothing to Crystal Rose again. Save yourself a lot of frustration and some money, take your dry cleaning elsewhere.
