We ate dinner here as part of a fundraiser for a local sports team. Everything was okay. The fettuccine Alfredo was a large portion with a lot of chicken, but not amazing. The lasagna was also a generous portion, loaded with meat and cheese, and the Chanti pizza was also loaded with toppings, but the crust was soggy and flimsy. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait awhile to place our order. We already knew everything we wanted, so when asked for beverages, we ordered everything. The food came out in a weird order...fettuccine Alfredo, then lasagna, then appetizer cheese sticks, and then pizza all spaced a couple minutes apart. I think this was due to them being so busy. I probably would give the experience 3 stars, but since they were super busy based on supporting local athletics, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Ordered a pizza for pick up simply because service is so slow every time I dine in. I simply do not want to be held hostage there anymore. The pizza looked amazing, loved the spicy sausage, but WHAT HAPPENED ED TO THE SAUCE?! Whyyyyyyy is it so sweet? I loathe that. It was so noticeable I could almost not eat it. Stop. I went to this establishment because my son loved the pizza. So when I seen one opened in Maple Grove I was excited. The night we went they had a baseball team there and we had to wait about 10. That was no problem. Once the waitress sat us it was at a dirty booth behind a table full of ppl that were loud. The waitress did not think to sit us in one of the other booths that was clean and not so close to that table. We left within 5 min. Stopped in for a quick drink and lunch. They were not busy but took 15 minutes to get our drinks because the bartender (Janelle) was too busy chatting with her friends. Then our food took over 45 minutes to arrive. We were about to walk out but asked the server what was taking so long. He said they had a food delivery and the cooks had to take care of that first. Umm, what? I ordered the dry rub chicken wings and they were extremely tough. Could barely eat them but I was starving. My husband ordered the fish fry and the coleslaw was ransid. Pizza was great! I ordered 5 large to be delivered at a specific time for a bday party and they showed up when promised hot and fresh. The thin crust is truly thin, I like that it's cut in regular slices versus squares too. The hand tossed was legit, not too thick or chewy. This was a 4 year old party so we had pepperoni, cheese and veggie. I'd like to try some of the specialty pizzas, there are a lot to choose from on the menu. Prices are competitive compared to other places in the area. They're also on upside which is a nice bonus for a quick 6% back. My husband and I loved the thin crust on the pizzas, and the kids loved the amount of cheese! Fifty minutes from online order to delivery on a Friday night was awesome! The pizza was still warm. The crust was not soggy. I LOVED the Frickle Pickle Deluxe--sausage and pepperoni with "frickle pickle topping" and a kick of their mild fire sauce. I am not new to this place. I would say I stop in about once a month, maybe more in the summer. I have noticed a steep decline in both the service and the quality if the food. When I arrived, the two larger round tables were occupied by two groups of people , who were obviously regulars because the two table got lots of attention. Of the 4 people working the floor, they all seemed to know the people at these two table, which left me, a single and two other tables IGNORED. I finally did get to order food which included a small pizza, which I requested to have crisp thin crust. The food came out within a reasonable time but the crust was regular, almost soggy. Not bad enough to return, but that was the last I saw my waitress, and her "trainee". Two other waitresses, never left their post near the bar, mind you the area around the bar was full, the rest of the place was empty, so it not like they were overwhelmed. I was never checked on again, never asked to refill or order another beer, and had to go to the bar to pay my bill, which was another frustrating thing. I'm done with this place. Unless you are part of the Maple Grove "in" crowd, you will be ignored as well. read more

Food is delicious. Service is hot or miss which is more of an issue when dining in. I've never had a bad experience with service during delivery or takeout. If paying with cash you're supposed to get a discount, but after I asked about this, the sign I took a picture of quickly disappeared and I haven't seen it since. The thin crust pizza is great but many times the crust bubbles or is charred. Not a the best thing. The spinach and artichoke dip is amazing and I get it each time I visit. read more

I was a loyal customer for three years, honestly the food is great. I always tipped between 50 and 100%. That being said, when they served me food that was literally inedible, like it just came out of a refridgerator, I was surprised. I don't complain much, but when I pay 40 dollars for a pizza and tip an additional 60, I assume that they're going to remember me and treat me accordingly, not the case. For years we would call between 12:00 and 12:45 on our way home from a Fri / Sat night out and always had great pizza and great delevery service. Went here for take out pizza as I have done several times in the past and was disappointed to discover there service has degraded considerably since my last visit. I ordered the pizza at 6:23 pm with a promise time of 6:43. We went in about 5 minutes before the promise time only to wait in line without being attended to for over 10 minutes. Our "promise time: came and went. As pizzas started coming out of the kitchen, I started noticing the pizzas being given to the customers had a" promise time "significantly later than mine. Finally at 6:59 someome came out with our pizzas a whopping 36 minutes later and 17 minutes after our " promised time". This place is is a train wreck in process. The waitress stated she had only been there for 2 days and then when I questioned her about the delay stated that there are several "nee" people in the kitchen implying they were not trained properly and did not know what they were doing. My first time here. Had never had their food before. We ordered the Chanticlear special pizza, without the celery. It was fantastic! I only wished I could've eaten more....but no fear, we asked for a box, so we had lunch the next day. Our waiter, Danny was super accommodating, and was easy to talk with getting exactly what we wanted. Just opened mid-July. 5 star service. Food verdict is still out, but the cheese curds were above average and the Pickle Frickle calzone was outstanding; came with marinara (with grated parm on top, nice touch). The menu is pretty extensive and I must make return visits to sample much, much more. The bartender, Callan, is top notch and clearly cares about keeping a well run bar. Friendly, efficient, and definitely passionate about the craft. There is a great tap list, probably only rivaled in MG by 3 Squares. Flights of 4 taster size pours can be had for $7.95. I didn't get into the cocktails this time, but prices were fair (around $7 for their specialty offerings). I believe the happy hour runs from 11-6 and is $1 off drinks for now, but it sounded like some app deals were likely to be coming soon. A great new addition to the west side of Maple Grove. We definitely needed another establishment with food and a full bar on this side of town. All in all, worth a shot to any looking for well above average food and great service. read more

I've ordered pizza from Chanticlear long before the restaurant. Love the pizza. But the restaurant....lord almighty. Slower than slow service. Need a beer? Just head to the bar rather than wait for service. Packed with the usual Maple Grove hockey families. Ambiance is just that of a bar. We were in town visiting some friends and didn't feel like driving out in the cold snowy weather. They suggested ordering from Chanticlear. It was a fabulous idea! Delivery was fast which made the hungry crowd happy! It's always great trying something other than a National chain. We went with the BBQ chicken delight pizza with garlic cheese toast. Yum and yum! The garlic cheese toast was perfectly done with just enough garlic and just enough cheese. Then comes the fabulous pizza! It's thin crust but not cracker thin. Just perfect! The combination of garlic chicken, onion, tomatoes and bacon pieces were harmonious flavors. With the hint of BBQ sauce, it was quickly devoured with dreams of the next time we get to eat it. The guys went with pepperoni and bacon. Again, devoured immediately! It was a good sign. It was such a great dinner and will have to come back for more next time we are in town. read more
