During this visit, I noticed the Chester Chicken restaurant inside the store. The food display was visually appealing, and the aroma of freshly prepared fried chicken was especially inviting. As my order was being prepared, I browsed the store and purchased a couple of Celsius beverages and a bag of Cheetos. The chicken biscuit was freshly made and provided a satisfying, flavorful meal that was just enough to curb my hunger. Overall, it was a pleasant and convenient stop during my trip.

Normally during the winter season. I walked in through their back door in which the window was steeled bar LOL. The girls we're friendly from the get-go! Either they worked for the family or just seasonal people working through the winter. Very hospitable and friendly upon first interaction. Organized with their products just like a local corner gas station should, though its in the middle of nowhere on Route 22! The restroom was clean and pleasant with a bit of rural northeastern decor. They also have a little sandwich shop which are made by order with local Vermot cheeses if you like. Now they do have only i gas pump which is fine for rural town. The lighting around the around could need some work at there is only one light below the huge Gulf sign shining above. I would rate them 4 star's but instead will add an honorery 1 star just cause...

Look no further than Maplefields! Maplefields is ALWAYS my preferred pit stop in this area. They are a gas station/convience store that is open 24/7. They have a deli inside, lots of refridgerator cases with drinks, breakfast foods, and alcohol. They have a few aisle shelves with automotive necessities. LOTS of candy, chips and granola bars. They even have a nice indoor seating area where you sit and enjoy your food. I normally stop here for three things: diesel fuel, restrooms and most importantely their GIANT coffee bar with Green Mountain Coffee! *swoon* I can't really say how competitive their fuel prices are since I rarely compare when I am out this way. Their restrooms are always super clean and well taken care of. As for the coffee well...they have a full coffee station of at least 6 caraffes of the flavored varieties of the GMC. Then they have at least another 7 for the "regular" GMC and a decaf. Milk and half and half on hand too. I love it SO much! Best place to refuel! I love you Maplefields! :)

You have two choices for gas as you enter downtown Woodstock: Cumberland Farms or Maplefields. I…read moreused to always stop at Cumberland Farms because they have more gas pumps but no more: after a recent stop for gas at the Woodstock Maplefields, this will be my go-to from now on. Despite it essentially being a gas station, this Maplefields is different. The inside feels almost artisanal, with its brick walls and strong selection of local products. If you're into Vermont craft beer, Maplefields has a great selection. I needed coffee and this Maplefields had the most impressive selection of Green Mountain Coffee I've seen anywhere. This includes all the flavors you can't find in grocery stores. Overall I was really impressed and I would not just consider this Maplefields to be your average gas station/convenience store.

I don't understand how this doesn't have thousands of positive reviews. What if I told you that between Boston and Middlebury, VT you can find a gas station with delicious sandwiches? I told my wife that, and she had 0 interest in trying them. But then she did, and immediately her mind changed. We stop on the way up and back on any trip to Vermont. It's 2 hours from Boston, and about an hour and a half from Middlebury, so it's the perfect spot for an off-highway meal. Any trip to Vermont isn't complete without at least one of these sandwiches - and if we have to skip, it's always with the promise that next time we will make sure to stop. I'm not going to say that these sandwiches are the best in the world. They're not made with impeccable ingredients, locally-sourced from farmers who care. No, what these sandwiches are are middle-of-the-country, happened-up, secret-back-deli sandwiches that will fill you quickly and happily. You're going to order your sandwich from someone who may be slightly annoyed that you're bothering them into making you a sandwich, but don't take that as a negative - they're still going to make you the same delicious sandwich every single time, without variance. You're going to be hesitant, but that's okay. Live a little and eat a gas station sandwich.
