Must-try: An Italian sandwich with all of the hots (including the red hots)…read more Would recommend?: Yes, yes, yes, and yes again. I don't understand how this doesn't have thousands of positive reviews. What if I told you that between Boston and Middlebury, VT you can find a gas station with delicious sandwiches? I told my wife that, and she had 0 interest in trying them. But then she did, and immediately her mind changed. We stop on the way up and back on any trip to Vermont. It's 2 hours from Boston, and about an hour and a half from Middlebury, so it's the perfect spot for an off-highway meal. Any trip to Vermont isn't complete without at least one of these sandwiches - and if we have to skip, it's always with the promise that next time we will make sure to stop. No, what these sandwiches are are middle-of-the-country, happened-up, secret-back-deli sandwiches that will fill you quickly and happily. You're going to order your sandwich from someone who may be slightly annoyed that you're bothering them into making you a sandwich, but don't take that as a negative - they're still going to make you the same delicious sandwich every single time, without variance. You're going to be hesitant, but that's okay. Live a little and eat a gas station sandwich.
