We are from CA so I went inside to grab a drink and ask them to turn on the air. Shelves were a little empty and I didn't find a drink I was interested in. Vibes were off as well. When I asked the staff they said it was $2 for air and then asked someone else who said it was $2.50. After filling up at the pump, it was actually $3 for the machine, which isn't a huge deal, but when I started putting air in I realized that the gauge was so rusted you couldn't read it. It also stopped when I was on the third tire. When I did get in and check the pressure, it hadn't changed at all. So we paid $6 for nothing. It was pretty annoying and I just can't recommend this place. Keep driving.

This location has a separate facility devoted to "the facilities". Located in the Log Cabin off to the side, there is a Ladies, Men's, and Family room to address your comfort needs. Signs around the cabin say that the Irving Oil brand prides itself on clean restrooms. It's no frills, but super clean and most everything is no-touch. This can often be a Godsend to traveling families & parents of small kids. There's also a bench inside if members of your party need to wait.

We could get phone service in the area, so the gas station order let us use his phone many times over the next several hours, as we waited forever AAA to come tow us out (AAA mistakenly first sent the tow truck to NH instead of VT). We felt vulnerable since we're 2 moms, traveling with young kids, stranded out of state, so we were especially grateful for this generous gas station owner's kindness. He kept the station open 2 hours longer than regular hours, so that we could wait in a safe place with access to a phone. The station's mini-mart had a good selection of reasonably priced snacks and drinks and delicious soft serve ice cream.

And pretty soon, the serve-yourself creemee machines will be up and running for the season. Did I mention their specials? Including the annual lobster boil? I snagged a medium-sized bowl of hearty chili for about $3 and it was a very generous portion. Considering I was up here for a ski weekend, I'd have probably paid about $7-$8 for that same bowl on the mountain. Staff were extremely friendly - all the more reason to shop small businesses and support the local community!
