I told them it is a cheap, medium sized rug, and they told me it would be around 20 dollars so I brought the rug right over to the place and reconfirmed with the girl at the cashier that it will be around 20 dollars. She told me it would be ready in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, I got a call from them saying that the rug is ready for pick up but the cost is $150. They told me it was originally $200 but they bargained it down to $150. I was completely dumbfounded and asked them why they told me it would cost $20 when I was dropping it off. The owner's response was that the girl is "just a worker" and doesn't know about pricing. I told her that I will not pay $150 for dry cleaning a $90 rug, and insisted that I would have either thrown it out or cleaned it myself if I knew it would cost that much. She asked me if they should throw away the rug then and I told them to do so. So there goes my rug and I learned a valuable lesson not to go back to this place ever again.

But, for a couple of years now this laundry has been on and off for me. I keep saying I am going to go to a different laundry, but never do. I like the machines here, when they work! The guy that runs this place is hardly ever there. When his machines don't work I never get my money back. There needs to be an attendant on duty at all times. I like the pre-wash cycle & few laundrys have this any more and this is what keeps me coming back. Also the location is convenient. But, I swear one of these days will get feed up with this laundry and never go back, or just buy my own washer :)

They close at 10 pm, so they say the last wash is at 9pm. t I'm sure they say the last washes at 9 PM. The guy didn't like that I would come there unintentionally sometimes at 8:30 p.m., he would huff, puff, shake his head, etc, and finally on Thursday, September 13, 2018, he told me that it wasn't the intent for people to come around 8:30 and even though the last wash is at 9 it is "not the intent" for the last wash to actually be at 9. He literally told me "that's not the intent" when I told him you said the last was is st 9 - it's 8:30 p.m. My problem with that is if you don't want people to come at 8:30, tell them the last wash is that 7:30 or 8 - that's the latest most people will get there. At least I didn't literally come at 9. So, also in his explanation he told me that "the intent is for people to come at a respectable time", which means that you're saying I'm not being respectful. I've been coming here for awhile now, eventually noticing his attitude, and now he's questioning my respectfulness. After I told him to change the hours, I went to my trunk and decided forget it I'm not going back there anymore. I do not appreciate that I've been coming often to this laundromat only just to end up having my character slandered in front of other customers, because he didn't want to stay late. I'm convonved he knew the hours before he took the job. And if he's not the one with the authority to change the hours, he should have taken it to his boss. If he was afraid to do that, be obviously knew that was unprofessional. I understand where he was coming from, not wanting to stay late, but you can't get mad at customers for coming between the hours that you approve and advertise, especially not slandering them to their face! This was just flat out rude and unprofessional. If you want people to be there by 8 o'clock tell them the last wash is at 7:30 or 8 PM!

My shirts all face a certain direction. After my first batch of shirts came back - they were going the wrong way! Do I take them off the hangers and switch? How do I deal with this? Argh! Over the next few visits the rest of my shirts slowly migrated to the reverse direction and it became the divider between my laundered shirts and my regular shirts - sorted by color of course :-) Despite all this, Sims gets a 5-star rating because they haven't broken a button of mine yet. My previous cleaner would regularly break buttons and I think would just randomly pick out buttons regardless of how well they match. Go back to my earlier statement about OCD and this is something that'll drive a person like me crazy. I think Sims has actually fixed button mishaps from the other cleaner! I've had other random things repaired and the pricing and turnaround time are wonderful. Absolutely great people to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

It has a family run feel (but, that might be my imagination) They do a free delivery and pick up (dropped a nice bag off at my door) but I've never taken advantage of that service. Those CD One Price places don't really have such great prices on cleaned and pressed shirts and I like the way they treat me when I'm here. They also clean things that don't fit into a "one price" category like bedspreads, duvets, dust ruffles etc... If the line is two deep and I'm the second guy in line they always get someone from the back to come and help me. You pay when you pick up and there's no hassle of counting the shirts an pants before you leave. They just look at you and say "I'll take care of it".. I'm all like.. "cool!" I have a treasured brown leather jacket that needed some pocket repair, they gave me some good advice that saved me time and money.. that alone is reason to go back. The last dry cleaner that I used in Naperville (on 75th st) was cranky and didn't like anyone... I figured that I was special and that secretly; he really did like me... one day, he sold the store (didn't ask ME first!) A really nice lady took over, she remembered my name, how I like my starch etc... I didn't know what to do with myself. That's probably not going to happen here, on either extreme..
