We scheduled an HVAC tuneup with Champion Air and were very impressed when Alex, our technician, showed up.

Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

I asked him to let me know when he was on his way so I could notify her. Not only did he do that, but he notified me again before he knocked on the door to make sure he wasn't waking her up! The cleaning was textbook; he cleared the lint the size of a ball from the vent, did NO upselling, charged exactly what I was quoted and was done quickly. And my clothes now dry on the first load! I just bought this house so I'm sure they haven't been cleaned in ages (if ever), but King Air Duct Cleaning got us rolling again quickly! Thank you-would highly recommend!

Also the price I paid for the dryer vent cleaning was higher than the price advertised on their website. Three days later my dryer had an error code of 80% vent blockage. We bought our own vent cleaning kit and finished the job ourselves. Photo shows what we cleaned out of the dryer vent three days after we hired Lint Away to clean the dryer vent.

We would dust the furniture and two days later, there would be a coating of dust everywhere again. We have lived in this home for five years and have never considered it even know such a service was needed or important. We have a large house and we're quoted just under 800$ for them to clean all our vents and returns and dryer vent. Lint Away showed up exactly when they said they would. They were very polite and respectful. The whole process took under two hours and they were done. They showed me some photos of before and after of our vents as well as bright me in to see what came out of our dryer vent ( it was appalling! ) After words, we vaccines and dusted and I changed all the filters in the house. We were more than pleased to find that dust did not collect for a solid week (if not two) on our shelves and furniture tops. My nighttime sinus issues have significantly dropped as well I give this company 10 stars and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Gave this business three opportunities over two days to rectify the situation. Property is…read moretenant-occupied - I am the property manager. Tech showed (on-time) to perform a dryer vent cleaning on a 2nd story condo, which vents through the roof. Before he started the work, he took my tenant's credit card info for the $179 service, which is the same price I was quoted over the phone. Tech removed the dryer flex line and immediately noticed water leaking out. He vacuumed the line for a few minutes before telling the tenant he needed to check the roof vent. Upon checking the roof vent, tech confirmed that the line needed to be cleared from the roof. He returned to the unit and advised that the service would be $750, not $179. The tenant (thankfully) called me. I advised that $750 is well above the acceptable rate, and offered to pay a $50 trip fee, given that no work was performed. He refused to leave without payment of $179. While I recognize that the tech likely had no discretion to waive the service fee, he was not willing to provide contact information for a field manager or customer service contact. Not wanting the situation to escalate, I advised my tenant to pay the $179. I reached out on the company's main line immediately and explained the situation. They advised on three separate occasions (twice on the day of service, once the next day) that a field supervisor would call me "in 10-minutes". No field supervisor called. I informed the agent that I would be calling other companies to obtain competing bids, and would come back to them if $750 proved to be a reasonable price. I was quickly able to find a local company with a guaranteed rate of $474 for roof-access cleaning. I called the original company and gave them three options - 1) Match the price and deduct the $179 already paid, 2) Refund $129 of the $179 paid, allowing for a $50 trip fee, or 3) Take no action and be subject to an honest review. After waiting four hours for a call back, I decided to schedule with the other service provider. Chris with Courtesy Air Duct Cleaning @ (480) 933-1751 scheduled the cleaning immediately, and even gave me a discount to $449 (from the $474 advertised rate), given my poor experience with their competitor. The work is warrantied for 1-year, and they'll provide a 10% discount for any other services in need over that 1-year period. It appears that Rental Duct Cleaning LLC is likely just a dispatch service for several local techs, so please understand that your experience can vary depending on who actually takes the job. Courtesy Air Duct Cleaning is a "brick and mortar" business where you call and always get the same people. I wish I would have called them first, but I'm happy to remove or amend this review if the original company will call me back with a reasonable solution (trip fee payment only).
