Needed a place to stop for something to eat and drink. This was the closest place and it ended up…read morebeing a great little stop. We were in the mood for lunch and they were only serving breakfast that Sunday. So, we opted for the most lunch-ish thing available that wasn't too heavy. Bagels and cream cheese. They were perfectly toasted and there was plenty of spreadable cream cheese. It made for a perfect light lunch. I don't eat eggs, so it did limit my options. If you do eat eggs, their breakfast dishes with eggs look amazing. Of course, we tried the coffee. It was very good and we loved the mugs. The place is rustic-charming. The service was good. It's a busy place. We loved the regulars who stopped in and didn't even need to say what they wanted. The servers already knew. The service is good but slow. Not sure if that's because they were busy or if they're just not the type to rush things. The bathrooms are clean. There is an up-charge for credit cards. It's hard to resist buying mugs and coffee to take home. The cookies were so hard to resist we bought some to keep us snack-happy on our travels. Definitely a good place to stop.

While I haven't had the opportunity to try the entire menu just yet, I can say confidently the home fries live up to the hype. I understand why they're called home fries because they reminded me of home. It looks like they're doing some renovation on the second floor, I wonder if that'll result in even more seating. If that's the case then it'll take this cafe to the next level.

We picked up the bear claw, cinnamon rolls and coffee cake muffin alongside coffee for breakfast and were not disappointed. The pastries were delectable and the cinnamon rolls in particular was incredible with its flaky, laminated layers. Definitely worth the nearly constant line for a delicious brunch

They did mention that there was some construction going on (July 2025), so maybe the situation is different normally. We had an iced coffee and a banana cream cold brew. The banana cream cold brew was too sweet for my taste, but it was delicious. I thought the iced coffee was good. We both had "the 201" (which is pork roll, egg, and cheese) one on a roll and one on an everything bagel. +1 for having pork roll this far north and outside of New Jersey. The everything bagel was absolutely slammed with everything bagel seasoning. It was a good bagel for the area but not quite up to perfect NJ/NYC bagels (it was a little too airy). If you are not a bagel snob this is a great bagel. I had an almond croissant as well. It was very big but the layers had really separated so it didn't have the flakiness you'd like from a croissant. Prices are high, but the entire town is basically "resort captive" and almost all of the businesses rely on seasonal vacationers to survive so...support local small businesses!
