The best coffee shop in middlebury! The coffee here taste much better than the one down the street. It is a small place but all I care about is the taste of the coffee and this hits the spot.

I believe it was called the cardamom latte and it was really good. However, we got there and it's a small place, stood in front of the girl to order and neither her or the other guy even acknowledged us. We were so close to them it got awkward and it actually made me feel like they didn't want my business. She finally asked what I wanted, but nothing else. They both looked miserable. Maybe they were in a lovers quarrel ‍

Friendly service and outstanding Cardamom Vanilla Bean latte... a very worthy addition to my cross country coffee tour!. A little hard for the tourist to find,, but worth the search.

I've been to several coffee establishments in the area, and this is indeed one of the best. The iced matcha latte was superbly splendid. The taste was perfect and well-balanced. The ambiance is pretty chill, and the baristas were very responsive and nice.

The NOLA cold brew is amazing! Chicory and vanillas flavors and I added a shot of local maple syrup

Had the cardamom vanilla latte and it was one of the best espresso drinks I've ever had. A little hidden outside of downtown Midd but so worth the visit!

These people know coffee. They make incredible use of a minimal array of brewing tools (drip, handbrew, and a custom espresso machine) and a small shop to brew a remarkable range of delicious coffee and coffee-drinks using beans from local roasters (primarily Vivid Coffee from Winooski, VT). The owners give their staff the knowledge and tools to keep quality high at totally reasonable prices. All this comes in a clean, low-key, stylish presentation only a couple minutes' walk from the town green. The best coffee in the area without question.

Middlebury has sorely needed a spot for good espresso, and now we have it! The espresso drinks at Royal Oak are beautifully crafted, well executed and perfectly smooth. The Oat Milk Gibraltar is definitely my favorite thing on the menu. Feels wonderful to be drinking great coffee, supporting young business owners, and contributing to Middlebury's growing food and drink scene.

I'm an avid coffee lover from New York and this is the best flat white on the planet, love the shop and the owners story. Definitely worth stopping in this place is elite.

    Yum!

WOW. The cardamom - vanilla bean coffee was out of this world. A thousand times better than Starbucks. Wish I lived closer so I could enjoy more often!

You order first then find a table but if it's busy find a table first then order if someone can order while the other waits. We ordered the chicken and the egg sandwich, wagu beef sandwich side of fries and faro salad. I was mistakenly charged for 2 chicken sandwiches ( waiting for credit to post ) but regardless it's nyc prices. Bill came to $70+ which is expensive. The food was excellent but for $18 you would think you would get at least one side ( fries or salad) for that price. The fries are $7 which again it's not a big town but charge high prices. It was a Monday lunch time service and our food took about 30 minutes to arrive which is long - I think they were overwhelmed and the staff was small - which is why it took so long. I understand it's a small college town but I'm not sure I would come back. Again the food is excellent quality wise but not sure it's worth it.

I appreciated this transparency so I could proceed to research the ingredients in this mystery drink. The top ingredients are some of the worst things being used in food today: Soy protein, sunflower oil (one of the worst seed oils on the market today), corn syrup, casein, maldodextrin... These are highly toxic, estrogen overloading, and cancer causing. It tasted like poison and it is. There is not one thing in this drink that comes from nature.
