The atmosphere is a little dated, even for a small local pub. Ultimately the chairs were comfortable, the tables were clean, and the waitress put the Canucks game up on another television for us so that we both could see it while sitting on opposite sides of the table. Speaking of the waitress: she and a bartender seemed to be the only staff on hand. The bartender was helping as best he could, but for a Sunday night the place was packed. There were two large groups, and the lack of additional staff made service a little slow, at least for drinks. Our food still arrived very quickly, especially considering how busy it was. The wrong appetizer came out, unfortunately, but the waitress quickly and happily rectified it. Shortly after, our mozzarella agnolotti arrived: a breaded, fried mozzarella ravioli that we were eager to try. It was one of the best things I have ever had in a pub, hands down. The ravioli shell was crispy and seasoned to perfection, and the mozzarella-parmasean-ricotta filling was gooey and delicious. If we are ever back on the island I will be returning for a plate of these alone! For my entree I had a cheddar burger, easy on the condiments. I find pub burgers are too often drowning in sauce, ruining an otherwise decent burger. This one arrived and the bun was lightly brushed with some relish, topped with a fresh, firm tomato slice, two crisp leaves of lettuce, and some thinly sliced rings of onion. The patty was seared nicely and was deliciously juicy throughout. It was a hell of a burger, by any measure. My wife ordered a chicken burger, a grilled chicken breast on a soft bun, with their "cactus chips." They seemed like a homemade barbecue flavoured potato chip. She said they, and the chicken burger, were very good. We will definitely make a point of returning here if we are ever in the area. All in all it is a fantastic local pub with amazing food.

The happy hour wing special is nice and the food is decent. The only area they sometimes fall down is in the service as its a bit spotty and slow But they try hard. The lovely K got the clam chowder and a starter Caesar salad. Both were very good with the starter salad being larger than most large salads we get. I had the Mediterranean falafel and the soup of the day which was split pea with ham. Both were excellent. The Stella I ordered was a full pint, not something I see every day, they are typically 500 mls. All in all we thought it was outstanding, and will most definitely be back!

Really amazing pub…read more Causal, nice patio, amazing food and service. Bee was my sever and went above and beyond. She even brought me sunscreen when I wa having an allergic reaction to the sun. She is a superb server and human. All the servers helped each other out which was awesome and a great team environment. I had the desert duo for dessert - yummmmm House Chardonnay which was surprisingly delicious. And green salad with salmon added. The salmon was meh but the salad was so yummy so it made up for it.
