The owner obviously has a green thumb, there was not an inch of ground, benches, tables, and shelves that wasn't covered with her handiwork - flowers, ground cover, vegetables, vines - it's all there. There was even a number of areas where she had free plants that she couldn't see throwing away or composting if someone could put them to good use. We got there during one of her regular plant sales so ended up spending ~40% of what we'd have spent at the big nursery. Great value, great selection, awesome service - we're glad we dropped by and will be back again.

It was great to hear that they had personal experience with using the products in stock. I have had great success repotting! I had my eye on a plant and was on the fence about buying...and the next time I visited they were all sold out! They do restock, but this nursery is popular so if you're undecided just buy the plant :) They have a small cafe area which I haven't tried yet, but looks fairly popular with people bringing their dogs to hang out too. There are quite a lot of events and classes related to gardening on their website. One that I'll probably be going to is the rotating tool sharpening by Northwest Sharpening Services - quite cheap at $4 per tool.

After taking my chainsaw to one of Chain Saws Plus competitors and being told it would cost more to fix it than it would to buy a new saw, I took the saw to Bob. I told him the story of my dealings with Aurora Lawn Mowers, his competitor. From my description, he told me nothing substantive could be known from their cursory examination. He was furious with the Aurora Lawn Mower people because, in his words, they were trying to cheat me and besmirching the Stihl name. He told me he could see nothing wrong with the saw without examining it and that he needed to do more work to see if there was a problem. In the end, he replaced the solenoid, reassembled the saw and gave it back to me for $153. Bob has earned respect from the community. My neighbor when I told him this story recognized Bob and his shop. He is an honest man who treats customers respectfully. He has not shown the same 'good old boy, slap you on the back' faux friendliness as John at Aurora Lawn Mowers but his sincere nature and honest character inspire confidence. I will send my friends to him and return in the future. read more

I just talked to the owner of Chainsaws Plus in Bothell, Wa. I was interested in starting a chainsaw mill, and he helped me throw around ideas. He didn't try to sell me anything and he was very helpful. I fwas sent to him through a guy I was going to buy a chainsaw from. He comes highly recommended, and I just want to say that his honesty about everything just impressed me. I haven't seen that attitude a lot lately. When all was said and done, he didn't want to sell me a saw because it was not the best for me. Best owner ever. I live in Tacoma, and I would drive to him to buy my Stihl. read more

I bought $600 worth of garden soil and compost that is nothing but a disaster of sticks, rocks, plastic garbage, and is the deadest, driest soil imaginable.
