We went here today and it was just what we wanted. We found our tree for $40! A big noble fir...not the perfect shape but we can trim it to be perfect. The staff is friendly. They have REAL REINDEERS and Santa! Hot cider which my 3 year old loved, hot dogs and HOT LINKS (yum), and my favorite part...FRESH KETTLE CORN. A little holiday shop. We had to cut our own tree and they provide the equipment. I'm not sure if you can ask someone to cut it for you...that would be nice for the older folk. FYI: $2 extra to mesh bag it. They didn't seem to have a HUGE selection, but it was fine. We found our tree and got our photoshoots in. :) I'd go back. read more

Service was great! Several local HS football players were manning the tree stand and assisting with hoisting baled trees onto car rooftops. We visited at around 4pm on the Sunday afternoon of the second weekend after Thanksgiving, and there were very few customers in the parking lot. Recommend that the store increase its offerings and remove the "fresh cut" signage if no longer available. Ultimately got a $40 discount for the perfect sized tree for us! read more

We love coming here every year for our tree. Its our family tradition. We always seem to find a great tree. We love the little shop, fire pit and hot cocoa. Seems like a nice family run business! Took off one star because we didn't get a fresh cut on the tree and the base was crooked at a slant. A bit hard to support the tree straight as it was a very heavy tree. We didn't notice until it was being loaded. I saw another review about them maybe not doing fresh cuts anymore? Hope they do it in the future as our tree is not soaking up much water on day 2 and we hope it lasts as long. Just a bit of feed back so they are aware. Hope to come back next year. read more

Great selection, all prices marked, precut for quick selection or wander the lot to cut your own. Trees were beautiful. Had a scout troop there the load trees on to the roof of your car. Cut the base so it was ready for watering. And they were super fast and no pressure. It is not the cheapest, but very much worth it. We'll be going here every year moving out. read more

This is our first year trying tree farms out in Snohomish instead of Snoqualmie. We went to a few before finding Wintergreen. It was a great atmosphere for our kids with a reindeer mascot and option for Santa photos even with our dog! The gift shop was cute and affordable! I loved the fire pit and the guy dressed up telling c mas stories! But what made them stand out is that we purchased a beautiful 9ft Nordman Noble the weekend after Christmas and a week later were so sad to see that it was completely dead and losing all its needles!!! We had never experienced this before and didn't know what the policy was on returning a tree? So we called the owner Bill and he felt very bad and haven't encountered this before as all the trees were just freshly cut. He told us to bring it back and he would replace it with whatever we wanted! So we undecorated and went back to the farm. They were out of the size we wanted but Bill and Noalan were so kind and let me pick a more expensive tree that even already had the lights on it! They through those in for free! What exceptional service for a very annoying situation. Still cleaning needles from house a week later but oh so happy with my new tree and not having to replace do the lights! Lol Check them out! We have been going to this tree farm with our children for more years than I can remember. In 2011 they went under new ownership and quite frankly I didn't think they needed improvements, but this tree farm just got better! They have trees in ALL prices ranges. You can do pre-cut or cut your own. They have always been kid & pet friendly and now they have a Santa from 1 - 7 on Fridays! My kids always LOVE their hot Apple Cider, and look forward to it even as teens. Now, they are adding a Latte Stand as well. They also have an assortment of Holiday Decorations - each year we usually pick out a cute ornament from there. The new owners are quite savvy too, they have a facebook page and sent out discount coupons to last year's customers. Coupon or not, we'll always come back. First time visiting this farm. Although it's still a young farm, it apparent they take very good care of it! Even though we weren't able to to cut down our own tree as the tree size we wanted wasn't available, we purchased a precut tree. It's a healthy just under 7 feet great looking tree! My family and I came to Wintergreen Tree Farm today to get our Christmas tree. We are new to the area and had to just look around online to find a good tree farm. We found this one on Yelp and are SO glad we checked it out! Found a beautiful tree, good prices and they were so nice and helpful! We were greeted immediately by their general manager (so sorry, we forgot his name!) and he was amazing from start to finish. He gave us the run down on where everything was, then when we found our tree he quickly got it all loaded on the car for us. They had hot cider, a large camp fire, and an adorable scene for taking some pictures and seeing other festive scenes. We had a great time, our daughter loved it and we will definitely be back next year! read more

The day after Thanksgiving, my family and I headed out to Wintergreen Tree Farm. I knew that they closed at 5 PM and I thought if we got there at 330, that would be enough time to find a tree at this U Cut farm. I was wrong. We searched and searched, but because we have a very narrow space for a tree in our house, the task proved more difficult than I anticipated. The trees that were the perfect size were either out of our price range or they were not tagged(there was a sign that said DO NOT CUT TREES WITHOUT TAGS). So we started to worry. I didn't want to leave empty handed because my kids would have been disappointed. But we had lost feeling in our toes and they were starting to ache and it was getting dark. We were ready to leave and Colleen(employee) asked if she could help us. I told her what we were looking for and our dilemma, but that I knew that they were closing soon. She said they won't let anyone into the parking lot after 5 PM but they wouldn't kick anyone out. She said she could send someone out to help us, so we took her up on the offer. We looked little while more and finally found a tree that was in our price range and the right size. The employee that came to help us told us that the tree we picked was a good tree but that type usually lost a lot of needles quickly and that another type of tree nearby was better because it lasted much longer. I said that the other tree was out of our price range and he said, "You know what? It's getting cold and dark. I want you guys to get a good tree. I'll write up this tree for the same price as the other one." I was in shock. He gave us a substantial discount. I asked him if he was sure about that and he said yes. He said he wanted us to leave their farm happy. The people at Wintergreen are very caring and gave great customer service. They have a nice bon fire for the customers to warm up around as well as delicious, free hot apple cider. We'd gone to this farm last year and loved it, so went there again this December to get our tree. But after trudging around in the pouring rain for WAY too long, looking at tree after tree that looked perfect, but didn't have a price tag on it, I wasn't too impressed. At first I assumed that so many trees weren't tagged because they weren't big enough or old enough or something, but then I started noticing that all the best looking, perfect sized trees were the ones that were not tagged, clearly they were the ones they were going to cut themselves and sell. Why have a u-cut christmas tree farm when you leave such a sparse amount for cutting? Pretty frustrating! read more

Their web site as of today says they are open every day from 9-5 p.m. from after Thanksgiving to 12/16. Well ....we went today 12/3 arrived at 4 p.m. and the gate was chained and locked with no one in site. UPDATE: Before I posted this I left feedback on their web site. With in 2 hours of leaving feedback I had a very apologetic e-mail with a reasonable explanation and a offer off a discount if we wanted to try another day. read more

Insanely overpriced. Stay clear. A five foot tree that should have cost $40 to $50 was $70. They also have very few ucut trees of any size and I can only imagine how expensive the precut trees are based on the above. read more

Do not patronize Wintergreen tree farm. We usually go to Patterson's tree farm in Stanwood, I think they are the best in Snohomish county. We went to Wintergreen because we purchased a coupon from one of the sights such as Groupon or Living social for $15.00 which was good for $40.00 toward a tree. We ended up spending $55.00 for our tree, which is not very attractive. All the nice trees were not tagged therefor we could not buy them. If it had not been raining so hard we would have left and gone to Patterson's and forfeited the $15.00. This place is a rip off. Of course all of the cut tree's were more expensive. Went looking for a big tree and they had it! All the staff was very friendly. They also had hot apple cider for the kids and Tim Noah was also there putting on a concert. My kids loved that Santa was there and we got a great picture with them on his lap. Much more than just a tree farm!! I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a tree and a great holiday experience all in one. To top it off they also have an outdoor bonfire and gift shop! Really great place!! read more

We went this past weekend and found a beautiful tree. We purchased a Groupon and picked out a gorgeous pre-cut tree. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the prices were good and such a better experience than going to a Home Depot or Lowes. They had a reindeer walking around, a gift shop, kettle korn and a latte stand. If you have a Groupon and can't find the perfect ucut tree just ask the staff and they will offer you the discount towards the new pre-cuts that they just got in. We have a tall area but didn't want a real full bushy tree. Love that we could bring our puppy too, they even gave us a doggy treat! read more

This place has a terrible tree selection. They are poorly trimmed, over priced and it doesn't even smell like trees... It smells like exhaust. You're only allowed to u-cut trees that have been pre-tagged and they're all wonky shaped and priced between $40 and $75. Also, don't let your kids sit be their 'nice' fire put; they throw in fresh cut tree scraps which can cause hot sap to spit out... It's dangerous and the main reason why you're instructed never to burn you Xmas tree. They should know this. My fiancé and I will be going to Big Lake Tree Farm tomorrow to get our tree. We went there last year and they have a wonderful selection, and the place actually smells proper!! read more

This place is overpriced. Most tress are $55+ if they look decent. Some are $40. The only real reason we came was because the website said they have reindeer, but they didn't... They have been cleared out quite a bit from previous years so they don't have that many good trees to choose from. read more

WOW! WOW! WOW! They are back...well sort of. New owners have brought back the feel of Christmas to this lot off Machias Cut-Off. We have lived in the area for 14 yrs and this was the first tree farm we bought from back in the day. We stopped after it lost its customer service. We once were hurried along to pick our tree one year and ultimately left without a tree and never returned...UNTIL NOW. We heard that there were new owners and decided to give it a go. So very happy we did. They have brought back the little gift shop. They offer warm cider and kettle corn and MOST importantly GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
