Flowers by K provided all my floral arrangements for my small October wedding in Seattle. Owner was nothing but informative and helpful through the entire process! Very good about keeping in touch with me, and was happy to listen and make suggestions about arrangements, even when I could only communicate via email with her. The flowers were absolutely beautiful, and exactly what I'd asked for-- Not only did she take the inspiration that I provided, but created unique pieces in exactly what I wanted. The price was very reasonable-- Five table pieces, three boutonnieres, Bridal bouquet, toss bouquet, two wrist corsages and two long-stemmed single sunflowers (in honor of two dearly departed, to hold empty chairs) for around $500, including delivery. I do not recommend Flowers by K every arrangement I have gotten has had old flowers and flowers that are very inexpensive even though the person sending the arrangement spent top dollar. If you are not home they leave the flowers on your porch in full sight. So my flowers sat outside in full sun for hours. read more

Kristine did the flowers for our July 2014 wedding and we couldn't have asked for anything better! During our very first meeting, we knew we had the right person for the job. She was super fun, informative, and dealt with us when we basically knew nothing about what we wanted. She helped us wrangle in our ideas and then let us have some time to think about them. We met with her several times after that to lock in more details and she was super helpful throughout the whole process! On the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond helping us with set-up and everything looked gorgeous! It was way better than anything we envisioned. Kristine is a talented floral designer, as anyone can tell by her website/photos. Her customer service, however, is very poor. I met for a consultation with her, and attempted to follow up regarding the pricing for certain things -twice- (as I only received a total cost estimate) and never heard back from her. I am disappointed and will be moving on in my search for a florist. read more

I have thought long and hard about this review - on one hand, K was nice when we spoke with her and she was helpful in our first consult since we didn't really know anything about flowers for our wedding or what choices we needed to make. On the other hand, she was incredibly disorganized and actually stood us up for not just one, but two appointments. The road leading up to the wedding is a stressful one no matter what you do, and they made it so much more stressful. Originally, I had to change our final consult meeting because I was out of town - I called 4 days before asking her to call me back and let me know that she got the message and when we could reschedule. I didn't hear from her so I called again. Finally got a response and we rescheduled that appointment (at this point it was only 3 weeks before the wedding). We walked in for our scheduled appointment time and they looked at us and were like, "Do you need something?" We explained we had an appointment and they told us that K was out sick and we'd need to come back some other time - no call, no heads up, no worry about who we were and why we were supposed to be meeting, literally nothing to help us. Well, couldn't get a hold of her again after that for many more days until finally she rescheduled again with us. This reschedule was 10 days before our wedding. Well, we got there at the scheduled appointment time and the place was shut down and locked. We went home and were so lost at what to do, she texted us 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment time and said she was on her way. We were already home at that point, but sucked it up to go back there because we were so close to the wedding (she got there 35 minutes late). After this consult, she had to call me because she lost our paperwork and we had to go over details again on the phone. I am a very organized person and this was the one aspect of the wedding that stressed me out to no end. It wasn't all bad, she had good creative ideas and she included a "free" piece that we could choose - and when talking with her she is very nice. All said and done, the flowers were fine and she showed up on time. The men's boutonnieres fell apart quickly which was disappointing, the centerpieces were very underwhelming (except for ours at the head table - which was very beautiful) and the bridesmaids' flowers looked nice. If you're okay with disorganization, then you could give her a call, just make sure you know what you're getting in to. I know she had a lot going on at the time but if you have customers relying on you then you really need to be more organized and communicate with them about what's going on. read more

A friend of mine was the victim of a horrible assault on a Friday night a few weeks ago. I called around to a bunch of places on Saturday afternoon to see if I could get some flowers delivered to her, but nobody could do it on short notice. I finally found these folks and gave them a call. The gal that answered the phone was very sympathetic, said she was out on a delivery at the time, and that she would put something together when she got back to the shop. Not only did she create what my friend said was the most amazing bouquet she'd ever seen, but they delivered it at 8pm on a Saturday night. Wow! When I spoke with the owner later, we got to chatting and I mentioned that I ran a non-profit charity. Without even asking, she said that if I ever needed any flowers for a charity event, she would happily donate them for free. Cannot say enough good things about this business. Kind, compassionate, reasonably priced. These people made a very bad situation much better, and I can't say enough good things about them. read more

Kristine is amazing! Not only does she produce beautiful arrangements, but her personal service and attitude is outstanding! I have used Flowers by K several times in the past, and I have never been disappointed. I feel like Kristine goes above and beyond to make sure that I am impressed with her arrangements and that the receiver of those flowers always smiles- this is a big deal, as I am currently deployed with the Army, and the flowers she arranges have become the best way for me to make sure that my lady knows I'm thinking about and missing her. She has definitely ensured that I will continue to use her services for the foreseeable future, and I highly recommend others do the same! read more

My brother ordered flowers for our mom for Mother's Day since he lives hours away. They delivered the arrangement which was an assortment of roses on Saturday. The rosebuds were all dead and the larger roses were dead by Monday (with water added). I saw the arrangement on Monday and was appalled. I told my 84 year old mom to call the florist and complain. She called and on Thursday they picked up the old arrangement promising to replace it the next day. No one could understand why they didn't bring out another arrangement at that time. On Friday my parents waited and they didn't come. My 88 year old dad calls and she says that was meaning to call him back and they'd bring them the next day. My dad said he was done. Very unprofessional and a total waste of money for my brother. First, the flowers should be fresh and should last. Second, IF you have to replace flowers you do it immediately. Flowers by K (Kristine) was my florist for my September wedding. I had someone recommend her to me and tell me I would not be disappointed... I was more than disappointed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. There were numerous things in my contract that were never done. She also promised us a full mock set up of table flowers so we could see what it would look like, and once again she was late, and showed up with plastic flowers that looked nothing like what we ordered. They weren't even the right colors. All of the wedding party bouquets were not even close to what we had discussed and the pictures that I had showed her. My bouquet was almost identical to my maid of honors bouquet and mine was $100 more than hers. My arrangement for the head table was far from anything that we had talked about, it looked like something that no thought was put in to. She was also late to my wedding, she was posting on Facebook the night before my wedding asking for people to help build my boxes for the centerpieces for the table, not something a bride wants to see. During our pre-wedding meetings she told me she would preserve my bouquet and it would take about a month or so which she charged me for. Every month it was a new excuse to why she could not give me my bouquet, then after NUMEROUS messages she finally told me in March she just could not preserve my bouquet and told me she would make me a new one. I finally received my new bouquet at the end of May and it is NOTHING like my bouquet that I had in my wedding. It took me 8 months to finally get a bouquet back that wasn't even close to mine. I will NEVER use Flowers By K ever again and would not advise anyone else to use Flowers By K either. Not a florist you want to do business with. read more
