Long overdue review for one of my favorite new coffee places in OC! Everything is delicious and made with care, and the ambiance inside is so beautiful and laidback, it really feels like you're inside a good friend's chic living room. Their banana bread latte is so yummy, and I also enjoy their Chailo Latte. They have also recently added affogatos to the menu, and I'm excited to try them while we're having a super sunny autumn in California. Everyone that works there is so friendly and down to earth. Chailo is one of the best coffee shops I've been to in terms of quality menu, seating availability, parking, ambiance and service. It was my first time at Chailo, i didn't know what to order, But Insha & Maheera were very helpful, they explained the menu & syrup samples to help me choose my coffee, I tried their Pistachios Latte & Spanish Latte they were really good, Definitely recommend visiting this place. read more

Finally tried Chailo for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, both our drinks were delicious, House Chai and Rose Latte. Like, wow, 10 out of 10, which is hard for me to give. And the cups they served drinks in were very nice and added to the appeal. The inside and patio energy and aesthetic were great as well, considering this space was previously a vegan burger joint (which I definitely miss). So much parking, plenty of seating, and non-dairy milk options, very chill vibes. Took a couple of minutes for our drinks to be made, which is good. They are thoughtfully preparing intentional beverages, instead of just cranking out rinse and repeat mostly premade drinks with bad ingredients. You can taste and feel the quality and care. Really enjoyed my first experience yesterday, will definitely be back. Maybe even today! read more

Chailo has a great atmosphere. Coffee is my usual drink, but opted for the hot chai and a house-made cinnamon roll. Both were excellent , and neither were too sweet. We enjoyed our drinks on the patio, and the hustle and bustle of the street made it feel like an extension of the community. Service was excellent, and the owner was welcoming. They are still building out the space, and I can't wait to see how it evolves. Highly recommend. read more

Was recommended to go here by a friend and went on Eid day. The baristas and staff were amazing and they recommended me to go with the Iced Dulce De Leche Latte. I am not the biggest fan of super sweet drinks and although it sounds like it, this latte was AMAZING and not too sweet. I also tried my friend's Iced Spanish Latte which was also delicious. Quite different from many other cafes and with a unique but wide range of flavors, Chailo is easily one of my newest recommendations. I wish I lived closer because it was very cute and comfy inside and I want to try the other drinks. read more

My friends and I tried this new shop and we all loved it! The coffee, drinks, and food were a 10/10. We tried the Spanish Latte, Dulce de Leche latte, and the Strawberry mist and loved them all. We also tried the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup, the Chicken Tikka puff pastry, the brownie, and the cookies. The ambiance was great, we loved the outdoor seating with heaters and it was such a fun late night spot to hang out at. The service was also really great, all the staff were super friendly and very welcoming and helped make sure we had the best experience. This place really missed the mark for me. I wanted to try this place due to their social media and it seemed to be very welcoming and encouraging to go! I noticed they were hosting events so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, they treat customers very differently from other customers, I was not greeted upon entering the coffee shop when other customers were, specifically, those who were the workers friends. There was little to no acknowledgment in the establishment, minimal eye contact and prioritized making friends drinks over paying customers drinks. It's great you want to provide drinks for your friends, but if you have paying customers, I would think that would be a priority to maintain loyalty and increase paying customers returning to your business. The coffee at this place was very good, which is unfortunate to me, as I would have loved to be a returning customer. However, I was made to feel unwanted from the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left. I will not return to this business due to these reasons. I go all over Orange country trying small businesses and due to my experience, I will not return. read more

Cute spot! I got their house chai and strawberry mist and both were super yummy! My favorite though was the strawberry mist, super refreshing and not too sweet. The price was also very reasonable for the high quality of the drinks being cheaper than most other cafes i've been to in the area. Was super excited to try this new cafe near Newport! Was greeted by a lovely ambience and by the 2 sweetest girls Insha and Maheera! They answered all my questions about the menu and their recommendations! I got the banana bread latte and my husband got a Spanish latte and they were both SO YUMMY! I came here out of curiosity based on yelp reviews, but the place is kind of meh. My drink was lukewarm. The ceramic cup was hotter than the drink. Seats are uncomfortable, and restroom is outside in the parking lot. You need to borrow a key like in a gas station. read more
