This is a fabulous little family restaurant that turns out amazing Thai food. It's already found a substantial following, as you can see by the line of people waiting to order or pick up takeout, and the usually busy small dining area. We went early in the evening before a local theater group's performance, and were glad we got there with plenty of time to spare. Not only is it a bustling kitchen, but everything is cooked to order, so it takes a few minutes. But when it arrives, piping hot and aromatic, you dive in and enjoy. The Thai basil is the real thing, hard to find in many places, and it made the Ga Prow sparkle. My companion thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai, which was getting lots of orders from what we overheard. There's an assortment of Thai teas, non-alcoholic sparkling drinks, and other options, but we stayed with water for this visit. We can't wait for our next opportunity to try some of their other dishes. read more

Excellent Thai food ... best I have had outside of DC or NYC I was thrilled this is in my hood ! I try to go at least twice a month but would like to go every day I love the Tom Yum l, pad Thai , all the currynd spinach potstickers . I have not tried anything fried or chicken dishes . I ordered the pad see eww and it was absolutely delicious. I accidentally got veggie instead of chicken but it was still very yummy although it was incredibly spicy. If you are weak if you mind should say no spice at all. I ordered little spice and it was real spicy. I would do it again though so good so so good read more

FINALLY!!! Great Thai near Santa Fe! We've had Thai all over the USA. This place is great! We only had 2 items. Tom Ka perfectly made. Then green curry. Great size portion. Fair priced. Delicious vegetables. Cooked perfectly. The best eggplant I've ever had! We were served by the owner who's an absolute charming Thai chef. The service was excellent. Orange chicken eaten by my husband was "really good" (as high a superlative you will hear from him!) Take out stays busy & a half dozen or so tables available for dining in. We decided to order from Chai Yo the other day. Beware. The wonton soup is at best an $8 maybe $10 app and they charge $17. Ridiculous price for a cup of soup. We had to add our own broth at home lol. The curry was tasty but a tiny portion as well. I guess we will just continue making our own Thai at home. Anything would be an improvement over Thai on Canyon failure here in eldo, but we will not be eating at Chai Yo again. read more

Very happy to have found Chai Yo, Thai restaurant in El Dorado. It is small and very casual, seems mostly takeout, but we sat outside on a nice patio,,. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food was terrific - my husband and i share Khao soi, (Spelling?), a curry broth with wheat noodles and fried chicken. The combo sounds a bit strange, but it is a traditional dish with many different modes of preparation. This version was excellent - plenty for the two of us, enough but not too much spiciness, great flavors. We will be back soon to try some different things. read more

We are so stoked to have this place in Eldorado. They have only been open a few weeks now. They just recently started doing entrees and it appears they have been pretty slammed with a ton of business (which tells you how good it is). They seem to still be figuring out a flow to things as I have experienced a wait the couple of times I've gone but they have also been amazing to make it right and trust me when I say: the wait was WORTH IT! I downed my bowl of Pad See Ew and dang near licked the whole bowl clean. My wife had the Pad Thai and loved it. Safe to say we have definitely found a new go-to spot! read more

Best Vegan Thai I've had in Santa Fe area. We live in Tesuque so it's a bit of a drive but well worth it. I highly recommend the Ramen Kee Moaw. Super flavorful with perfect fresh veggies and fried tofu. He also enjoyed several appetizers that could be veganized. read more
