    The Front & Signage 04-10-2026

This cool teahouse is located at Americana at Brand Shopping Center. It's nearest to S. Brand Ave. & Caruso Ave. I parked on the street at a meter on E. Colorado St. and walked the short way to the shop. I came for their first Grand Opening Day in hopes of scoring a Paper Flower Thermal Hand-held Cup (given to the first 200 in line) and a Blind Box Plushie (I got the one I really wanted, too!). I barely made it, but thankfully, I was around the 175th person in line. A staff person was placing a stamp on hands as people lined up. I ordered the Peach Oolong Tea Latte (Lg. $6.45) and the Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte (Lg. $6.45). I've had these before and they remain my favorites. Each one is unique in flavor and so refreshing! It's really sleek and has an adequate amount of seating. I could have relaxed here for a bit but seating was all taken up due to being the Grand Opening. Service is efficient and polite. I also appreciate that this is a store and not just a kiosk type of store like at my local mall. Chagee Modern Tea House has fancy designs on cups, straw wrappers, and to-go bags for your drinks. The artwork makes it seem like an upscale store. They have three different types of straws, so choose wisely! LOL! A Tri-Sip Straw for Lattes & Pure Tea, a Classic Straw for Lemon Tea, and a Classic+ Straw for Frappes. The Tri-Sip Straw really slows down my sipping! I guess it aids in allowing you to savor your drink a little longer! I'm not sure I'll be back to this Chagee since it is a good distance from where I live, but I will return to the one at the mall near me!

Chinese super tea brand Chagee takes over Americana! This is different from the milk tea we know in that it's light and refreshing! The employees are all super sweet ensuring that I am able to customize my drink to my liking! The store is clean and well designed making a cup of tea latte feel so boujie!

Tried Chagee on a random Tuesday afternoon and it was as you would expect. They get a solid 3.6 from me. The location is in the Americana itself which has a nice and expensive ambience. I happened to park in a lot that costed money but it is a very close walk from the Galleria which has free parking. Next time, I would just walk across the street. The interior was very modern and had a nice ambience that reminded me of the stores in China. There's a smell of the tea as you enter and the station where the tea is made looked nice. The menu was actually quite small and I was unsure of what to get, but the cashier explained the differences between the different drinks on the menu clearly. I ended up with the Ceylon black tea which is a tea infused milk tea. I unfortunately forgot to take a photo of the drink but I was a little sad they didn't give me the signature blue cup as those are super cute. They did give a bag upon request which was nice. I also like their 3 tubed straw which was always a fun perk of chagee. The Ceylon black tea itself was enjoyable and refreshing. It was a little sweet but good nonetheless. I was a little full that day from eating Kura at the Galleria but I finished the drink quickly. At first sip, there's a strong taste of just tea but after mixing, it tasted more like Ceylon infused milk tea which was nice and subtle. It was a refreshing drink for a nice day and the custom service was excellent. I would definitely try another flavored drink, just the parking situation isn't ideal as I don't love going to the Americana.

I ordered the Jasmine Lemon tea and it's so fragrant and refreshing! Would definitely come back to try the other drinks on the menu. The moment you walk into the store you smell the freshness of the tea. The interior design is also very nice welcoming. Overall wonderful experience.

So excited that this Chagee is now open! I saw the "coming soon" sign a while ago and I've been waiting (impatiently) for this day. They are currently in the soft opening phase with the grand opening planned for April 10. I was worried that there might be long lines since it just opened, but it was not busy when I went. I think they're keeping the advertising lowkey during soft opening, and it'll probably get crazy like I expected during the grand opening weekend. I got my favorite drink, the Boya Jasmine Milk Tea, and it was delicious as always! As good as I remember from their Century City location and from the locations I visited in China :) Chagee has consistently been my favorite spot for tea and the quality is great, especially considering the price ($6.50-$8 range). Very pretty interior with some seating, but it's not a huge space. Definitely more of a grab-and-go establishment in my opinion. There are a lot of tea/beverage spots in the area, but Chagee stands out for their consistency and high quality tea.

Stumbled upon this place randomly since my 3 yr old son and I were in Americana for a casual outing. And apparently this place was opened! With excitement, we went inside and noticed how busy they were. However, they had so many staff members to meet everyone's need. I only had to spend less than 1 min to order and less than 7 mins to get my two drinks-- boya green tea latte and peach oolong tea latte. The drinks were pretty good. They both had light yet bold tea flavors. However, they made an accident and added ice in my drinks when I requested not to add ice. Maybe they were too busy? It was too late to bring the drinks back to the store since I got them to-go and didn't try them until I got home. So make sure you check your drinks before you leave the store. Their prices were pretty reasonable ~$6.50 per drink. And staffs were very friendly. I would definitely go back to try different drinks.

    Soft opening day! 03/27/26

Soft opening day! I was just casually strolling at the Americana, and was pleasantly surprised to catch a glimpse of the ubiquitous logo that I always see when traveling all over mainland China. It's been said that this design is an homage to Starbucks, but instead of a mermaid, it's a traditional Chinese opera singer. I had no idea that Chagee had set up shop here, nor that today was their first official day of operation, but I suppose I was in luck! The kind bobaristas were hanging outside giving out free samples, which were quite refreshing, so undoubtedly I had to mosey on in to grab a full sized cup. Once inside, I instantly noticed the classy, dark decor, giving a Starbucks Reserve type of feel. It wasn't crowded at all, since it didn't seem to be a highly publicized event, so this was a breath of fresh air. I'm sure if everyone had known, it would have been an absolute nuthouse! There is a decent amount of seating, but the interior is designed more for socializing and escaping the madness outside at the Americana than for "working from home." Laptop camping is not necessarily optimal, since the seats and tables aren't ergonomically ideal. The menu is extremely simple, with four main options. I opted for the Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte with zero sweetness and no ice, which Is quite light and airy, but still packs plenty of flavor. Service is quick and friendly, and even though it is a "soft opening," everything at least from my perspective went without a hitch. Chagee is going for an interesting expansion tactic in the US, unlike its counterparts from mainland China, Hey Tea and Molly, just to name a few. Instead of sprouting up in existing Chinese enclaves, Chagee aims for for large mainstream malls with a multicultural clientele. So far, it seems to be working! P.S. For the time being, it's 15% off if you use the app!

My wife and I came by the Glendale Americana and I believe this new tea just opened up. Staff were super friendly and informative. We tried 3 different teas, I enjoyed the peach olong tea. I believe it was in sweetened and had really good flavor. We both liked the green tea as well, it was very smooth tasting. You Can change levels of sweetness. The inside was decorated nicely bright, colorful, clean. Would definitely get another tea next time we are in the area.

    Appreciate the labeling!

I got the roasted black tea latte and my bf got the peach oolong lemon tea...WOW! Surprisingly it was very delicious. My bf doesn't really like oolong teas, but he really did enjoy the one from here. The drinks are rich in flavor and not artificial tasting like how some teas can be at other places! I love how each drink also comes with a label that includes the calories, caffeine, protein, and sodium content! They also have different straws tailored to each drink. Their merch looks so cool too! Each staff member had great service and made a lot of small talk here and there, starting from when we entered and before we left !

Was really excited to see that Chagee opened at the Americana - such a prime location! We came on a Saturday night during their grand opening weekend and were greeted by such friendly staff. Their menu is still a bit limited, and they only offer large drink sizes currently but I'm sure they'll continue to expand their menu. I got the boya jasmine green tea latte and the peach oolong lemon tea. Both drinks are excellent - the boya jasmine green tea latte has such a fragrant tea flavor and feels light and smooth. The peach oolong lemon tea is incredibly refreshing. The interior is beautifully designed and modern and their packaging so aesthetic as well, which adds a nice touch to the whole experience!

I came here on grand opening, and tried 2 drinks. I got the Boya Jasmine & peach oolong. The peach oolong wasn't too sweet which is great for those wanting to be healthy but still need a good treat. The drinks came out pretty quick too.

If you are looking for real tea that is not overly sweet or sugary, this is the place to go. The drinks feel authentic and well balanced. The cups are aesthetically pleasing, and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. Their merchandise is also really cute. The staff was very kind, and I loved that they were giving out samples. That is actually what drew me in. I highly recommend the white peach oolong latte.

We were greeted immediately and it appeared he was the manager (older gentleman with tattoos) and he even gave my dog a pup cup. Honestly, this is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. I appreciated the kindness from him. Service overall went downhill after this. We got the wings and a pizza. I got a tea to drink and my boyfriend got the chai latte. I got the hibiscus tea and it was really good - highly recommend. My boyfriend's chai latte on the other hand was straight milk with ice. Do not recommend. When we got the pizza, we asked for ranch and chili flakes but never got. We asked two different servers but by the time they brought the chili flakes we had only one slice of pizza left. We didn't want the pizza to get cold. The only reason we got a ranch was because it came with the wings. The wings were small and slightly crispy. Definitely not fresh wings, they tasted like store bought frozen wings. We noticed other tables were complaining because they weren't getting service which says a lot about a place. Some even got up and left. It seems like a lot of people went for dessert/pastries so we missed the memo on that. I unfortunately wouldn't come here again. Not the best first impression and food was not worth the price.
