The worst service I've ever received at a nail salon. If I could stop mid service I would have. The first polished I chose was old/sticky/tacky so the worker asked for me to choice another color. That was fine. Until she barely polished my nails with the 2nd option. The polish job was translucent. It looked as if there was absolutely nothing on my nail. My daughter had several cuts on the sides of her fingers. Multiple fingers were bleeding. Not to mention the pedicure bowls were dirty. The towels used on our feet smelled like mildew When I tried to example how dissatisfied I was with the service it was as if no one understood what I was saying meanwhile audibly laughing at me. I walked out in tears . After paying close to $250 dollars for the worst service & humiliation of my life. I hope this review serves as a caution to others. DO NOT GO HERE! Update: after getting home and take off my shoes this is what the gel polish looks like on my big toe. I truly hope people can see this review. read more

I'm obsessed!! I did wait a bit longer to be seen and I did have an appt so I wasn't too happy about it but once i saw the results... I couldn't be happier!!! Well.....there is a lot to say about how poorly this place is. Me and my girlfriend went in to this nail salon for a pedicure and she was also getting a manicure. The pedicure for both of us was $94.00 and it truly wasn't worth the money. The pedicure for me was rushed and was over within 6 minutes. My girlfriends took a little bit longer due to getting her nails done, but it was also rush and the nails are not completely finished. (Down below is a picture). After the pedicure we were walked to manicure section. Once, we sat down it was fine until the gentlemen came to start. He asked what kind of nails she was wanting and she responded by wanting acrylic nails with gel polish, with coffin shape. With that knowledge of what she wanted, he proceed to put the nails one and then put a gel product (which was pink) on the nail. When placing her hand underneath the UV light it started to burn really bad. She said it hurt and he said to press down on it, after the 3rd nail. I looked up at her and she was in visible tears then she said stop about three times which he did not so I stepped in and said hey she said stop. Which he didn't acknowledge and keep trying to continue the nails. He then called over I guess the manager to come talk with us. She told her it was burning really bad and was still in visible tears. The lady said that it will burn for a couple second, due to the type of nail. She responded saying that she has gotten acrylic nails many times before and has never had them burn her. It was absolutely horrible. So, he took them off completely and ruined her nails.(Down below is a picture). Overall, this was a terrible experience. read more

I am still waiting for a response from management about my last visit. I have reached out three times now, with no response. I made an appointment for a 70 min pedicure. I waited 45 min in the lobby, then sat in the pedicure chair for another 10. Then the technician tried to use latex gloves, which I am allergic to. Eventually he took the gloves off and used his bare hands. Then, because of all the wait time, I only had time for the express pedicure. The color I picked looked nothing like I had picked out and has began to yellow. It was supposed to be super sparkly red, instead it looks like clear polish, poorly applies with some uneven sparkles. Extremely rude nail tech. From the start, the man who did my nails was disgruntled. He would ask what I wanted, and I tried my best to explain (and showed photos), but he didn't speak English and would just start grumbling to himself. I tried to be polite and engage in conversation at first, but he kept rolling his eyes and then started talking to the nail tech next to him as he looked at me with disgust. I eventually just sat silently as he finished my nails and just agreed that they looked okay when he asked so to not frustrate him further. My nails are okay, but not the shape that I wanted. My friend who got her toes done had a great experience.If you go, go with a female to avoid getting stuck with the rude man that I had. I didn't catch his name because, again, he just glared at me and didn't say anything to me. I was looking for a go-to nail salon and sadly, this will not be it. Cha nail spa is by far my favorite nail spa in Chattanooga. I moved to the area about two years ago and tried multiple nail spa's and not one of them was comaprable to Cha. I have been seeing Selena for the past year and she is just incredible. The whole atmosphere is comforting and the staff are so kind. The pricing is absolutley fair, especially for the quaility of the nails. I get sculpting gel on my nails and can go weeks in between with no chipping or breakage and still get compliments on them until the day of my next appointment! read more

This is my third time here and in the past I have been happy and satisfied. However, today I was really disappointed. It all seemed very rushed and extremely fast. I have never had anyone make my finger bleed or the nail filer cut my skin from rubbing it raw. I know the pictures might look silly however both of these things still hurt and it's been hours since I got my gel manicure. I was also upset that I was not offered a drink. I was so happy I had found this salon right after it opened, the employees were so accommodating and friendly. They made you feel welcome and offered drinks. The last several times I have gone, I was either turned away and asked to come back later, made appointments on line and they never bothered to confirm or had to wait longer than I should have or they called an employee from the back that had an attitude. Manicure lasted 10 minutes. Worst ever! Pedicure: nails not trimmed evenly, nail polish uneven, calluses not removed. Asked nail tech and she said they would never go away. I can do a better job scrubbing my own feet thank you very much. I spoke to manager stating how unhappy I was and she said she would take $3 off total bill... that's less than 5%. She said she could fix immediately but I had to go, traveling out of town, asked if I could come back two days later when I return and she said no, has to be right now. Visited this shop today for a full set and pedicure. I asked for acrylics, a was told that they did not offer that service. Technician then applied a gel product and said that the UV light may burn a little. The UV light hurt so badly that I was in tears. Because I was in physical pain and crying the Tech then offered to do the acrylics that I asked for. Once my nails were finished, I was told that they had no time for my pedicure although the shop had just opened for the day and they had agreed to do it upon arrival. I spoke with the manager who said that "I got the acrylics that I asked for, so why are you complaining!?" This was the worst experience and service that I have ever had at a nail salon. read more

I've never left this place satisfied- the service is rude, and not high quality. I only ever go here if Nails at NorthShore is busy. Although their nail polish selection is better at CHA, they are constantly cutting corners. It annoys me that they're setting a timer for my pedicure- I'm here to relax and a timer going off doesn't help. I currently have a pedicure with two different color toes and my skin stained red. I'm not one to give reviews, but I have never had a poorer experience with a nail salon. On Tuesday I booked an appointment online for that Friday at 6:30p for mani pedi (flying to Texas Saturday morning for a surprise engagement party). I received email and text confirmation from CHA nails that my appointment was confirmed. Unfortunately Friday night I lost track of time packing and called to notify them I would be a few minutes late. I checked in at 6:40. They informed me I would not be able to get both mani and pedi since I was "so late" and that I would have to choose one or the other. After choosing to go with a manicure, I informed the guy doing my nails (David) that I wanted a dip ombré. He sat down and immediately began to use the drill so I reminded him I wanted a manicure. He seemed to get upset at that. He never soaked my nails. He sprayed a liquid on my cuticles to soften them and cut them. Never cleaned my nails. Nothing. He even complained about how long it was going to take him to the dip on my nails (there were 4-5 other customers still getting their nails done when I was there, I was NOT the only customer). For what's supposed to be a relaxing experience, I've never felt so rushed and had a manicure done so hastily. The nails look decent, not great. But I would advise anybody who books an appointment, the earlier the better. If you're offering a service to the public, I hope David can do better at not treating the customer like such an inconvenience. I will not be back. read more

We came in for a couples pedicure and immediately another customer was paying and disputing her charges. She said she didn't get what she paid for with a pedicure and the tech insisted he did. She didn't argue and just paid. I followed her outside and asked about her experience and she told me to watch what I was getting because her service was rushed and she didn't get all the service she paid for. We talked about this being one of the only places open on Sunday. My husband and I sat down and he sat and waited 30 minutes before a male came and said he'd be right with him. A female had started my nail trim about 10 minutes prior. We both reiterated that he wanted a female so he asked my nail tech to stop what she was doing on me (just 1/2 way done with nail trim and start on my husband). So, I sat and waited, with 1/2 my nails done. Alright, so the man who did my pedicure was good. My nails look good and the massage was decent it lasted about 6 minutes. Initially I asked the female tech for a glass of wine and she said "wine" and then literally ignored me. Five minutes later I stopped a passing by male tech and asked again and he Acknowledge me and ask my husband what he wanted. My husband said sprite. He said it twice. He was brought a Diet Coke. My husband said the massage from the female was like a wet fish being rubbed on him because she absolutely zero strength in the massage and it was worthless. So we paid $116 with of course a $30 tip because we're not asshol** and got subpar pedicures. They were nice though, very nice actually. We won't be returning. read more

I've visited this location several times, I understand that when you're going through the transition of the new nail Technician you have to leave room for a little bit of error. Upon my first visit my nails were shaped incorrectly and they were all different shapes and thickness's. Pedicure was the furthest thing from relaxing the coloring on my toes almost looks like they didn't shake it properly before applying. I had asked for receptionist for some water and she seemed like a greatly inconvenienced her. I understand we all have her bad days but on my second visit it was exact same scenario. I had a different nail tech this time and she seemed inconvenienced that I wanted a clear overlay as opposed to a pink overlay again my nail polish color was terrible shaping of nails no improvement. While getting my nails done the nail technician ( I believe she's the owner as well) was interrupted over four times about scheduling which is no issue but she would stop working to deal with that situation so tacked on quite a bit of time to my appointment. CHA absolutely destroyed my nails. They drill your nails wayyy too deep. The product they use is horrible. I used some kind of hard gel, and when I went to a different nail spa it took them 2 hrs to remove it. At CHA they peel off your nail product rather than soak them, damaging nails more. Not to mention the employees will straight up lie to you about the prices, product quality, and what they can and can't do. They also do a horrible job of shaping your nails, it is generally shoddy work but thats the least of your problems. You should be more worried about your nails falling off if you go here. read more

I've never written a negative review of any place before. I don't like being a reason people lose business. However, my experience at this spa is beyond what I'm willing to let go. PLEASE do NOT use this nail spa. I was a regular customer for months. I received mani/pedis that were okay-- not the best but not the worst. It was convenient (2 miles from home), so I went. Before a trip I had gel polish removed. The technician used a tool that ground my nails so thin they hurt and the nail beds continue to look horrible as my nails grow out. I decided never to return, but they continued sending computer generated messages asking why I hadn't been back. Although I hate confrontation, I stopped by to tell them, thinking they might want to know the details in order to improve and give them a chance to regain my business. They first told me they couldn't have done the damage I showed them because looking at the growth they could tell it happened too long ago (questioning my honesty as if I would make this up). I said it was a while back (before my July trip) and asked them to check my appointments. They used my phone number to look up my record and said there was no evidence I was ever in their shop (calling me a liar again). I showed them the appointment confirmations on my phone. They then changed their argument saying, "Okay but it's been 3 months so how do we know you haven't been somewhere else?" I answered, "You said the damage was done at least 3 months ago and here's the record showing I was a regular customer then." So after questioning my honesty a 3rd time, they changed their approach yet again to, "Why didn't you come in before?" I said that I hated confrontation but thought they'd want to know." I also thought they'd want to attempt (at their own expense) to rectify the situation. Instead they said, "Fine, I respect you told us, but we're not doing anything about it now." The girl at the counter said, "I'm sorry it happened and I'm sorry your nails look terrible, but we're not giving you any free services." They did nothing to make things right--not even a discount. I'm sure there are some good technicians at this spa, but the customer service is abysmal. And there are obviously some technicians there who have no clue what they're doing because they ruined my nails. Choose a better place!! It only took a couple of days for the glue of my tips to wear off. Anything would get stuck between my real nail and the fake nail. So disgusted .. seriously considering not getting my nails done ever again. Never seen or heard of this happening.
