I was very excited to come try Cha Na Tea House, since Napa is definitely lacking in good tea/boba options! I came on a Wednesday around 3pm to pick-up an online order of 7 drinks. There was only one person working from what we could see, and she greeted us warmly before letting us know she was still working on our drinks. The inside is nice and spacious, brightly lit, and clean - definitely would be a nice spot to come and hangout and chat! I got the Signature Black Tea - the tea itself was decent, you can still taste a nice floral black tea flavor despite being not as strong as I prefer. I was really surprised Cha Na Tea House has barley boba, which I find very few places carry - these were mostly good with a satisfying pop and creamy, substantial texture of barley inside, but toward the end of my drink I noticed some of the pearls tasted a little off inside - almost penicillin-y, which was disappointing. Hopefully it was just a bad batch? The drinks taste amazing however I was there about 2 weeks ago and I saw the lady who made the drinks wipe the cup with a yellow rag that was next to the back hand washing sink. The yellow rag had MULTIPLE marks on it, it obviously wasn't a clean rag. The cup was open when she wiped the edge of it, then she proceeded to put more milk and THEN seal it. Whatever was on that rag could've easily touched the inside of the cup. If you need to wipe a cup, DON'T USE A DIRTY MICROFIBER RAG. Use disposable paper towels. When I confronted the lady about using the dirty rag, with attitude she said "do you like want to drink from a dirty cup or?" No, and I also don't want to drink from a cup that was wiped down with a yellow microfiber rag that was just sitting on a sink counter. read more
