Maybe an off day. Dishwasher broken, flights served in solo cups. Bar tender was a bit rude. A couple of the taps weren't working. Enjoyed the ciders. Took home some pear. Wanted a growler of Devils's canyon root beer. Another tap not working. Offered two cans of A&W root beer??

I was excited to see a new cider/mead place in the South Bay again. This is in the same area as Hapa's Brewery. They have a large spacious location with lots of tables and some fun table games. They had several meads and ciders on tap. I decided to get a flight with 3 meads and a cider. All the meads were good but the cider I tried was probably one of the best ciders. I did buy a crowler of the cider to take home. The owners were great and the service was fast. No food but there is a food truck nearby to grab something and eat at the location.

We stopped in for Happy Hour on a Friday afternoon. We were looking for a cider house and found very few options. Very happy to have found this place! The cider was great! We ordered a flight, which gave us eight ciders. Since there were 9 on the menu, Ryan, the founder/owner/cider brewer/bartender, threw in the 9th, so we could try everything. We enjoyed the tastes of each of them for different reasons and LOVED that there were two mead options. Wow! We learned about his journey starting Ch11 and his experience making cider and beer. The business seems to be growing and I wish it well. The cider was among the finest I've had and I would unhesitatingly recommend a trip to Ch11.

This is a great cider house. They are super new but it is worth it. They don't serve food but they have some snacks and there are also food trucks outside. The service is awesome, Rohan and Ryan are super friendly and knowledgeable. They are willing to chat with you and tell you about their cider. The ambience is very casual and they have games to play which makes for an even fun environment. The cider here is the star. As someone who loves cider and has tried many all across the state, I highly recommend this place. They brew everything fresh and have great flavors. Also they have trivia on Wednesday! P.S they are dog friendly and mix ciders for a fruit salad!

Didn't know this was here until we walked by. The drinks were all good, and my favorite was the "Pineapple-saurus." While the drink options are limited, I enjoyed having a drink here. The inside is very spacious with plenty of seating. It was definitely a treat on a hot day.

Sunday Funday Cider.. tastes exactly like a mimosa. Made with fresh pressed oranges. Fantastic stuff.

This spot is absolutely fantastic. Ryan, the owner and made scientist behind their amazing selection of cider and mead. My top 3 favorites would be: Midsommar Mead (10.8%), the Raspberry mead (14%) and the Sunday Funday. I'd love to leave a thorough review of each, but it'd probably be an entire essay of a review. You've got to simply try them. The cider is unlike any cider I've ever had and is by far the best cider I've ever had. You can truly taste how natural it is along with a different kind of buzz once it kicks. He uses honey and fresh pressed fruits, flowers, etc. Another thing I've noticed is no bloating. Think I may be ditching beer going forward because this stuff is next level. The mead is something new to me and incomparable to anything I've ever had. I'd say it's similar to ethiopian honey wine if I were to compare it in some compacity-- just much more refined and smooth. High octane stuff but it's delicious and quite refreshing. All in all, the drinks are amazing, the service is stellar and the vibe is super chill. KEEP ROCKING ON, RYAN.

There aren't too many cideries or meaderies up here in Albany, so Flora & Ferment is a welcome haven for those who partake. My friend loves ciders, so I came with in full support as a beer gal myself. LOVE that Flora & Ferment support local communities, they host fun events like queer trivia night and pumpkin painting in their cidery taproom space, and allow dogs and kids. We love inclusive spaces. There is ample street parking, and their taproom is spacious with a super elevated ceiling so you feel like there's no need to fight for space. The seating arrangements/quality of furniture give West Elm and Wayfair energy, and the color palettes plus the racks of bottles of ciders for purchase give so much class (way more than breweries) to this space without the snobbery that you often see in urban wineries. The gal behind the bar seemed to be the owner, and she was friendly but quiet. We came on our day off on a weekday, so the space was quite empty save for a few other midday beverage enthusiasts. Love that they offer flights, which come in a set of seven. I couldn't say I had a favorite cider, but I did enjoy the option to try all of the ciders on tap. They also sell little bagged savory snacks, and have a refrigerated section of cold ones you can take home if you feel so inclined. Such a calm, inviting, and well-curated space.
