Overall they had the best rates and don't charge extra for the truck or the travel fee (which is actually a fee for the time it takes a moving company to get to your place and then back home after the job is done). They were a bit slow to respond at first, but were very helpful in helping us prep for the move to reduce cost (making sure all is packed, having boxes of similar size stacked together because that's how they move them - by size and not by room designation). And they hustled. The moved ended up taking longer than we anticipated (lots of stairs!) but they ended up charging us less than we thought - they stopped by for lunch on the way to the new place and didn't charge us for that time. I don't believe they're insured, so not sure if I would recommend them if you have a lot of stuff. But they took good care of our IKEA stuff and I will use them again next time we move.

Therefore, We spent some time Checking Boxex after they went onto the truck to able to ensure that everything went onto the truck. we would have liked some improved Communication Regarding when our Delivery was Scheduled because it did take longer than they initially anticipated for our delivery. After stalling they finally get started. After a half hour, the ring leader comes to me saying that I would save money in the long run if I would let them call another guy at $60 per hour! This continues on until another guy drops 3 bins off a dolly. They were my collection of carousels from my late husband. Over twenty of them were broken! Irreplaceable!!! They only filled half the truck! I paid $2700 to move 45 minutes away. I didn't move any appliances, no couches, or living room tables. I did move 3 beds, 3 dressers and lots of boxes. But they could only fill half a truck? For $2700? Since I refused to pay more than that they stopped loading and said time ran out. Yes time ran out when they worked at a snails pace! What should have been one of the happiest days of my life turned into one of the worst! I spent the day crying over broken carousels. Scratched up dressers, called a liar and being ripped off! We were doing a move that did not require a moving truck (we were moving between condos in adjacent…read moreproperties), and hired Bara to help move our large/heavy items that we could not move ourselves. Unfortunately, things did not go as well as I had hoped. The movers were delayed in arriving. We have a larger than normal couch, and they attempted to bring it in the front and it did not fit, and in the process significant damage (scuffed, scraped walls, damaged light fixture) was done, as well as wasted time. Other more typical minor damage, however much of that was just from sloppy work. These are things I would not expect from experienced movers. While on-site I negotiated for extra time to finish moving the items that we needed help with, however upon reflection that really only made up for poor decisions on the part of the movers (not bringing the couch in the back, and not labeling dresser drawers and then spending a lot of time to figure out which one goes where). In the end, I will spend more time and almost as much money fixing all the damage as I did for the move. I did contact Lansana after I was fully aware of the extent of all of the issues, and offered what I thought was a fair deal to make things right, but he refused to make any refund at all. On the plus side, Lansana has been responsive to communication and polite in all correspondence. I will say the up-front price was reasonable compared to other movers, but more costly than using hired hourly work. For myself, the mark of a business is what they do when things go wrong, and unfortunately despite all the things that did go well (and we are moved in), I think they missed the mark here.
