I'm not usually one to write long reviews, but CG interiors pulled through. Finding discontinued flooring is usually a nightmare, but he handled it like a pro. Not only did he source the exact wood I needed from the distributor, but he actually looked out for my wallet and got me a lower price than he initially quoted. What really blew me away was the installation masterclass he gave me. He walked me through everything: how to do 'noise-cancelling' by running underlayment up the wall, overlapping seams perpendicular to the floor, and using flexible caulk for my tile transitions. He even gave me the lowdown on chemical refinishing so I can keep my floor good as new forever. I loved how easy it was to communicate with him. I work a hectic night schedule and we coordinated everything via text. If you call the shop and get the voicemail, definitely give a listen to the greeting :) --he's super responsive and made the delivery stress-free. Everyone here is wonderful to work with. Aaron came out and took measurements, Chris was my go-to person for samples, scheduling and pricing and Jesus and his team worked seamlessly to get my new flooring in quickly. My house is on a concrete slab and I knew that there had to be some cracks. I also had 5 different types of flooring throughout my downstairs that they had to deal with. I did have some large cracks but they took care of them quickly and got new flooring installed within two days. I'm amazed at how beautiful it looks. It's such a huge difference. I can't say enough praise for for Laura and Chris and the wonderful complete redo of my personal homes , one done in July 2016 and the new home June 2022. Combined over 8,000 Sqaure feet and not one complaint. Total of 7 different carpets and 2200 Sqaure feet of LVP done diagonally and flawless, Not to mention installing all new 7" baseboards. I requested a quote, but after an initial response, Chris went completely silent. Multiple text and voice messages over several days inviting them to look at the job were completely ignored. As others have mentioned, this behavior is not unusual for contractors. It is something of a filter. If a contractor doesn't respond before they get your money, it doesn't bode well for any follow up that might be needed. read more

I started a quest to replace a broken tile on our deck several weeks ago. I had been to Home Depot, Lowe's, US Superior stone and tile without success. I entered the business complex on Rea Garden in San Leandro with the intention of visiting a different stone and tile company, but I was quickly and summarily dismisses by the woman, explaining that they don't sell tile. I backed out of my parking place in their parked big spots and while looking behind me I saw a second stone and tile company. (Why didn't she mention this other business, since they obviously did sell tile?) I parked again and walked next door, where a welcoming and cheerful young man asked if he could help me. I showed him the small piece I had harvested from the broken tile on our outdoor deck and he went to work. He was very familiar with the stock and variations they had and I was confident that if there was a match for the 10 yr old tile I was looking for, it would be HERE (rather than the other 10+ stores I had searched before) and IT WAS! He went about identifying the tile and trying to find the price, but he had no luck. He called his boss to get assistance and the boss called their supplier. He had to wait for a reply call so I went off to run errands. Within in a few minute they called to let me know they my tile available when ever I returned. Finally!! Wow, no other tile and stone made the effort to assist like they did and I am a happy and grateful that I can move on to other projects. This company is the only place I will look to fulfill my tile and stone needs in the future! Thank goodness for people who want to help others! read more

CG Interiors are the ONLY people in the Bay Area that will cut down an area rug and bind it for you. Our rug turned out great, for a super price, we got the remnant, and it was done in five days. Referred to me by Straus Carpets in Oakland so you know when a colleague refers them, they are trusted. I think they are very busy, so you'll need to be patient about return phone calls. 4 stars instead of 5 because the communication was challenging. read more

WOW. Had these guys come and help me out with a very intricate restoration job I needed done. Not a normal job whatsoever and had to trust they knew what was going on, as I would've had to do with whoever was to do this project. I also had some repair work that was needed to match a section of art work that was inlayed in a design piece in the entry. SEAMLESS. The guys were true wood craftsmen, and a note of bankers too as they loved starting at 10 and ending at 6. Ended up working perfect, we never had to run into them, and when I needed to check in, I never even needed to call. I am a text savy individual and the owners Chris and Laura always responded via text. I hate messages and phone talk, and I had the messages to read back if I didn't remember something. I am amazed this place has only two reviews, we almost missed it during our shopping marathon for new floors. Unlike many other sales associates in other stores, Chris was knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. He patiently waited for us to browse the store and talk among ourselves, and then made himself available to answer my endless questions. CG prices were significantly cheaper than other highly-rated stores in San Leandro/Hayward, but quality of materials is anything but cheap. Most stores we visited carry mostly Republic Flooring laminate - Chinese-made, and of dubious quality, according to online reviews. My guess is that Republic gives dealers the highest margin, because I haven't seen much variety (only one other store we visited had more expensive German laminate on display). CG Interiors carries multiple brands, and while their showroom may not be as impressive, it's the selection that counts, right? We ended up choosing Swiss-made Parma laminate - very natural looking, excellent quality, and the price was just about what surrounding stores were charging for the same grade (A4) of Chinese laminate. What impressed me the most about CG Interiors is that customer service didn't end after we paid. Our contractor was supposed to start working Saturday morning, and Chris expedited pick-up from the warehouse (I think he sent his own driver) to have the flooring ready by Saturday morning. Last minute, our contractor moved the start date a few days out, but I still appreciated the gesture on Chris's end to have everything ready as soon as we needed. Also, when our contractor was loading the boxes, one got damaged (not sure who was doing the loading, our contractor's or Chris's), and Chris said no problems, I will give you another one! Needless to say, I'll be recommending CG Interiors to all our friends hit by the remodel bug :) read more
