I accidentally deleted my old review for this place, whoops. I should probably state outright that the five stars is for the service -- specifically the bartenders. I love them. There is such a thing as bar karma and regulars who tip well reap the benefits. Obviously they want you to come back, but I feel like I've become friends with these guys and gals. They know my name and my friends' names and are always friendly. If they "mess up" a drink (make a duplicate or make the wrong thing), guess who gets that drink? Anyone who frequents bars should know that if you take care of your bartenders, they'll take care of you. The food is good, but not omg amazing. I typically eat two bowls of chips and salsa by myself during every visit, which is probably not something I should readily admit, but that stuff is delicious and people should know about it. Plus it's FREE. In my perfect world, every restaurant, regardless of the kind of food they serve, would put out chips and salsa at every table. Keep your bread, Italian restaurants, I want chips and salsa and I don't care that it's not an Italian food. Basically, I come here to drink. My friends and I hardly ever get food (the handful of times I've ordered food I've either gotten fish tacos or a quesadilla, both of which are good choices). It's become our go-to spot because we love the atmosphere and chatting it up with the bartenders. There are different drink specials every night and on Fridays and Saturdays they have live music. They only have Dos Equis Amber, Dos Equis Lager, and Blue Moon on tap, but that's good enough for me. I either get an Amber or something bottled. I'm not too picky, but I know other reviewers dislike the beer selection. It's a bit cramped inside, but I always sit at the bar and the rooftop patio looks like a fun place to hang out, too. Oh and just a little note: They leave their front door open all afternoon/evening. If you're going to freak out about the occasional bug crawling/flying around, this place isn't for you. I had to give this small mexican restaurant in the middle of Historic Roswell 4 stars because of the food and outside seating. This is the perfect place to go on a warm nice evening when you just want to chill out, get a pitcher of strong and very good margaritas, and eat some tasty authentic mexican food. The chips are always crisp and fresh and the salsa has the perfect amount of heat to it. The cheese dip is my hubby's favorite, while the steak and shrimp tacos never dissapoint. What is dissapointing however is the service. Honestly......terrible. If I had to give a rating based on that alone it would be zero stars. The place is run by teenagers it seems, and the last thing that's on their mind is serving you. On one visit our server just dissapeared before we were brought our cheese dip for the chips, we waited and waited and finally we saw him down the street smoking a cigarette. About 2 weeks ago we went to have margaritas and chips at the bar and the bartender just walked off after serving us our first margarita. We sat with empty glasses for 20 minutes while we finished our chips, he never came back so we left and went to Red Salt. While we were walking out we noticed that he was sitting at a table in the restaurant eating! Don't let the service keep you away, it obviously doesn't keep anyone else away because this place is always crowded. Monday night is Trivia Night!! Was actually the most fun I've had at one of these which probably has a lot to do with my funny company. Free to play and winning gets you house cash Was kinda packed space and took awhile to get seated but busy bc of Trivia night. Got guacamole and chips for an appetizer. Guac was probably some of the freshest and best I've had in awhile. I ordered the chicken mango tacos which were AMAZING. Subsidies the corn tortillas for flour tortillas (personal preference). The mango salsa was delicious and the chicken was charred but in a good way that was flavorful. We also got free desert which was fried tortillas with whipped cream, cinnamon, and chocolate sauce because we checked in on Facebook! I love this restaurant, it is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! I chose this as my 21st birthday dinner a few years ago. They gave me a free shot and a little extra margarita. The shot was delicious! I think it was a sunrise tequila shot? I don't remember, but it was great. Their menu is wonderful, it takes me awhile to order because everything sounds great!! It is more pricy than my usual spot, but it is worth it! My boyfriend and I like to come on special occasions. Also, you will most likely have to pay to park. Ceviche is one of the many food options in downtown Roswell. Located right off of Canton Street, they serve Mexican Cuisine. I came her for lunch and decided that I wanted to try something new than my normal soft shell taco plate. I noticed that they had a "new" menu item called the Super Taco. I figured at the least it would be a drool-worth Yelp picture, so I took the chance and ordered something new. Man, was I disappointed! Not only did it not taste good, it honestly didn't look good either. There goes my great Yelp picture rationale! It looked nothing like their menu picture, by the way. I could not get over how plain it was. It was loaded with ground beef, which I was excited about until I tasted. It was way over seasoned. I mean to the point you could see the specs of seasoning on the meat. The taco shell was supposed to be crispy, but it ended up being soggy. It didn't come with shredded cheese and for some reason the shredded lettuce was on the bottom of the plate instead of in the taco. I'm not sure why? It also was not served with any sides, which was a bummer! It's small, so it feels up quickly and the service is not that great, so it doesn't clear out fast like most Mexican places. This is not a bad place to dine, but definitely not one of my top 5 Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

Then it was much longer then anticipated They kept seating people who came after us. They even were offered them different seating options then us. I came here after a hiking trip with a full appetite and was not disappointed. I ordered the chimichanga and a Bloody Mary. I also sampled the ceviche that other people at my table ordered. Everything was delicious and I had a little left over to take home. We told our server we all had voracious appetites and she managed to get our food out really quickly (less than 10 mins). I'm also really picky about Bloody Mary's and theirs was not bad. I had to special request olives and some heat but they mixed it well. There is a parking lot across the street that is convenient. We were originally supposed to be at the downtown Roswell location, but due to weather had to switch it to the Alpharetta location. With genuine care and ease from the GM, Molly, this was done without any worry! Molly throughout the planning process was amazing! She was quick to answer any questions and provided great suggestions, advice, and options to help my husband and I have a fun, carefree, yummy evening with loved ones. Fun decorations and signs were present that added personal touches for us to feel celebrated and loved. My GF was in the mood for Mexican so we went to Ceviche for a date night. We started with a couple margaritas and they were really good. I'm not a big tequila drinker but I do enjoy a good margarita every so often. Their margaritas were up there with some of the best I remember having. The food was really good too. We had the chorizo queso dip to start. The spice of the chorizo worked really well with the queso. For mains she had the steak tacos and I had the chimichanga. We both got steak and everything was done really well. We did have to wait for a little while to order our food after getting seated. It wasn't a really long time but it wasn't packed. I'm not saying it was long enough for me to not want to go back. They did take our drink orders pretty quickly after getting seated so I don't think it's a common thing. read more

I visited this spot for the first time this past Friday for a friend's birthday. It came as a recommendation from a buddy and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was the "come-back sauce" I'm always prone to take notice of. There was a bit of a wait (can be a good sign) but no real surprise with its location in Downtown Roswell. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated relatively promptly. Mary Claire - our server - was super cool and a big reason I will be back for another visit soon. She was light-hearted, fun and knowledgeable. When she picked up on our indecisiveness she recommended the Mango Chicken Tacos which turned out to be delicious! What a great way to night cap a birthday evening. This review is for the new downtown Alpharetta location. I first had a sample of this place during the taste of Alpharetta and let me tell you the ceviche was to die for. It was amazingly fresh and crisp. I couldn't wait for the new location to open. I came here first time hoping for that same experience I had during the taste. Let me first start off with the atmosphere. We were first greeted and seated promptly. Our drinks came out fairly fast. We ordered the ceviche pro: shrimp mahi tilapia, steak chimichanga (queso on the side) , arroz mexicano (queso on the side). While waiting for our appetizers I looked around and saw the staff was mainly teenagers. They were playing around with each other which is fine, didn't bother anyone. Everyone seem to be having a great time. Music was nice, good beat and not too loud but loud enough to hear. The ceviche came out and the shrimp was a little tough. Perhaps a bit over cooked but still tasted very good. The tomatoes and onions had a good hint of lime without being over powering. Why I'm giving it two stars is due to the next two: mahi and tilapia ceviche. It was extremely fishy. I had one bite and that was hard to swallow. You definitely knew it was fish. This was not what I expected from a place that names itself ceviche. I expected this to surpass their entrees. Fish is supposed to be delicate but this was a slap inside my mouth. The entrees came out. My steak chimichanga was good. It was well seasoned. Added some salsa on it and it went from good to excellent. The arroz Mexicano was also a delicious rice dish. Also pleasantly seasoned. Nothing extraordinary stood out. I hope they work on the ceviche and perhaps get thinner chips imo. Definitely a good place if you just want drinks and chill. read more

The four of us had a 30 minute wait at 9:30 so we walked around and came back to find our outdoor table. We ordered tequila shots and a pitcher of margarita. The margarita was too sour, it wasn't well made, even with premium tequila. For dinner we ordered guacamole and each ordered tacos. Our server placed a basket of chips and salsa for us to munch on while we waited. The chips were okay but the salsa wasn't very good. I was hoping to ask our server for something better but my table pointed out to me the restaurant was closing soon and wouldn't make something new for us. The guacamole was the best thing on our table for food. The tacos were typical American- Mexican flavored tacos. Underwhelming. We munched more on the guacamole than our own food. I am bummed this wasn't very good because it's close to our home. Parking is hard to find on Canton street so allowing plenty of time to find street parking and walking over is a good idea. The fajitas had no seasoning and the vegetables were raw with no sizzle. The ceviche was sketchy but no one died I guess. Still, it was tasteless. Also, there's no corn, plaintains, tostones, white rice and black beans, cojita cheese....like, what are you? New age bs? The atmosphere: Cramped and annoying. But not like fun, hip and happening. Well this is in the heart of the downtown Roswell Square area which is a wonderful area with shops and restaurants galore. Parking is nearby. You can park and walk nearly anywhere you would like to visit. The margaritas were excellent (which is what you want in s Mexican restaurant) and the food was fine. I ordered the fish tacos. You cannot mix the tacos, i.e. order 1 fish taco, 1 steak taco, 1 chicken taco, nope can't do that. So my friend ordered the shrimp tacos. Shrimp tacos were good, with a little spicy kick to them. Fish tacos were also good. Small restaurant with seating available outside if nice weather. Inside very few tables available and a loud atmosphere. Really, you have to scream at your friends to be heard. It was an experience, but I probably won't come back unless it's just for a drink. read more
