Because…read morethe repair shop knows more than I and I'm at their liberty as to when I'll get my car back. Since being referred to Rick and his team at the House of Mufflers and Brakes - I'll never go anywhere else! Even on an import, they're cheaper, more reliable and friendlier than say the BMW dealership down the road:). Call in the AM - need a loaner and the car's back before EOD. Oh, and they call you vs. the other way around (waiting all day wondering what the fleecing will feel like). Go see these guys - you won't regret it! NW

Before leaving it with them, I explained to Mike exactly what the issue was. The fuel pickup needs to be replaced, and since the tank would already have to come down, I asked him to replace the fuel pump at the same time and do an oil change. I specifically told Mike that my truck will only allow me to use about 3-4 gallons of fuel before it won't start anymore. Instead of actually diagnosing that issue, he simply let my truck idle for roughly 8 hours and then told me everything was fine. He also claimed he put a scope into my fuel tank and said it was "rusted." This is an Arizona truck that has been in Nebraska for less than a year, so that claim makes very little sense. The most frustrating part was when I asked if he had removed fuel from the tank to see if the truck would stop running once it got below the 3-4 gallon threshold I had described. His response was, "Oh, I guess I could've done that." That should have been one of the first diagnostic steps. To top it all off, he said my truck has a lower-end engine knock and claimed that prevented him from doing the oil change. I left feeling like the actual issue I brought the truck in for was never properly diagnosed. The only positive thing I can say is that they didn't charge me for the service. However, I still lost time, got no answers, and now have to take my truck somewhere else to have the problem diagnosed correctly. I won't be returning.

Gotta find a new mechanic. We found out about Eric & Aaron through our daughter. They have been an amazing blessing to us. In just a few short weeks, they've helped us with quite a few car issues. They're quiet spoken but very knowledgeable about cars. Thanks Eric & Aaron! I think it's safe to say that we found our family mechanic!

I took it right up to a well known local tire and auto chain because they were close and I figured they could at least diagnose the problem. I left it with them and they called back the next day and said they'd have to send it to their "transmission specialist". I later found out their transmission specialist was another well know local transmission chain that they took it to. The next day I called and they told me it was a bad transfer case that went bad because the tread on my tires from from to back was not matching so I'd need new tires in addition to new struts etc. all totaling over $6000. There was so much I wanted to say but unfortunately didn't. I should have asked them if they felt it was ethical to try and get $6000 in repairs on a 2007 Jeep with over 150,000 miles on it. Its worth less than half that. Instead I said, "none of that is going to happen. I'm coming to get my car." I gave them $100 diagnostic fee and left and took it straight to EM Transmission because I had read good reviews and they were fairly close. This was a Friday night and Eric told me he wouldn't be able to do anything till Monday which I said was fine. I also told him what had happened and what the other repair shop told me. I said, "look, I know I could probably use a new struts and the tires aren't brand new but I have replaced them not that long ago and so basically I would like to fix the grinding that's happening if it's reasonable because at this point I'd like to get maybe another year out of it before I sold it because it's paid off and it's nice to not have a payment." Eric said he'd let me know what he found. Later that night, remember this is a Friday night Eric called me and said he did have a chance to drive it and check it out and that he saw that there was a brake ABS warning light on the dash among other service lights that were on as well. He said he had a thought and would let me know Monday what he found out. He call me back Monday as promised and informed me that I had a bad sensor on one of my brakes that was causing the transfer case the problem that was causing the grinding. He fixed the sensor which costed me $150 and I was out the door. Out the door after thanked him and promised him an amazing review. There are some honest, real mechanics still around like Eric if you do some digging. This was over a week ago and it's been running perfect. THANKS AGAIN!

It took them 2 days to do the oil change, which I was very patient about, seeing as I didnt need it back that day anyways. Later, when it all had fallen apart, the service manager blamed me "for rushing them". In short, I asked them to figure out why I had power lag issues. They misdiagnosed it twice. $500 and a tow truck later, they gave me the truck back claiming it was fixed. It was worse than before. They replaced a fuel line without checking the tank. Debris went from the tank, through the new fuel line, and clogged up the system. The truck cost me another $1500 to fully repair because the actual mechanics had to redo the work that Jensen did. This location is run by an unprofessional manager named Mark who will blame you for the mistakes of his technicians. The kids they hire do not know what they are doing. Diagnosing debris in an old gas tank is an incredibly easy thing to do and should've been one of the very first things they checked. They never did identify or solve the issue. Matter of fact, they made it much worse and then BS'd me until I left. Do not go here. They will take your money and give you nothing back for it. Then they will gaslight you until you go away.
