I had thought my transmission was leaking so I went in to have my 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche diagnosed. I figured with 170,000 miles it would probably save me some aggravation in the future to have it repaired even though the dripping was slight. The Certified crew at 75th and Pacific street were absolutely friendly and knowledgeable when I walked in, not to mention getting me in right away. A couple of hours later they called me and said there was nothing leaking from the transmission and it was an oil drip. The fluid looked reddish so I just assumed that was it. They did tell me it could use the fluid changed with a new filter and I know it had been four years since I last had it done. These guys simply advised me with no pressure and even told me it could probably wait since the transmission fluid was still the red color, but I opted to get it done and over since they had my vehicle already. I can tell you after this experience with no run around, no high pressure tactics, and not "finding everything under the hood", wrong; I absolutely have complete trust in these guys. It had been awhile and a few vehicles ago that I've used Certified Transmission, but their integrity hasn't changed a bit. Hopefully I don't need them in the future, but should something go wrong, they absolutely have my business. read more

When I first had transmission issues with my truck, I took it to the Bellevue location. I explained my predicament to Chelsea. That we were pcsing to Alaska. They got a new transmission installed quickly. They also said the warranty would cover any issues, even up here. So i paid extra for the 5 year warranty instead of the standard 3 year one. Imagine my surprise to when i started hard shifting between 1st and 2nd gear with a check engine code of P0717 input speed sensor no voltage, so i called about it since i have a warranty and again was told they wouldnt leave me hanging, even up here. But im told now that the nationwide warranty i was told would cover me only pertains to the lower 48 states so im out of luck. See now i feel cheated and lied to. They wont honor thier work, wont even offer to reimburse me to have it fixed. I paid extra for something i was told would cover me, even in the 49th state attached to the continent. I cannot say enough good things about Dave and his crew at Certified! After discovering water in my transmission I was given the news that a replacement transmission would cost close to $4,000!! I was ready to accept defeat and turn the car over to the bank. Dave suggested I speak to my insurance company. The insurance adjuster was on the fence about allowing the claim when Dave convinced him otherwise, as the damage was not fault of the car or myself. I paid $500 out of pocket and it took the guys less than 3 days to get the job done. Being 7.5 months pregnant at the time, losing my car was not an option. Guys at front desk seemed friendly and honest but don't let them fool you! One of the shadiest shops I have been to. Took my truck in for diagnosis and they said it needed a new transfer case to the tune of $3900. I asked for an itemized estimate and they could not produce. The numbers they did give me over the phone or in email didn't add up. They are either bad at math or were simply trying to get $1000 extra for nothing. I was referred here by my mechanic to have the transmission of my 2002 Isuzu Trooper looked at. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon to discuss and we arranged for me to bring it down Monday. Since my car died as I made it home, I called David (the manager) and he arranged for it to be towed Monday morning. He called me Monday, explained the problems and the cost, in great detail. I agreed to the servicing, and he indicated it would be ready on Friday. It was ready right when he told me it would be and they were absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend them if you're in need of this kind of work on your car. Initially went to a dealer and another competing transmission repair company. Both had extensive waits (1-2+ business days). Called up Certified Transmission and explained that my 2001 Ford Explorer wouldn't shift into park and the gears were not aligned with the shift indicators anymore. Was told they would be able to see me immediately. Went in and explained the problem again and Dave (the manager) said it sounded like a problem that is common with my car and quoted me a price immediately if it turned out to be that. From my first call to Dave, I knew I came to the right place. I own an older car and wanted to know if replacing the transmission was the right thing to do. Bought a high milage vehicle after moving to Omaha from Florida. Had a somewhat shaky transmission so I took it by Certified for a flush and general maintenance. If you are looking for a transmission shop, I can not more strongly recommend against Certified Transmission. Although the local shop has high quality people the product is not worth your money. I had a transmission replaced with a certified transmission, this transmission failed at 30K miles and 2 years. After 4 weeks of extensive testing to determine the transmission was at fault not the other systems with the car Certified replaced the transmission under warranty. 1 year and 10k miles the replacement transmission has failed. Certified Transmissions response is the 3 year 100K warranty applies only to the original purchase, so regardless that a different serial number transmission was installed under warranty they will not repair or replace. A transmission that only lasts 1 years and 10k miles is beyond unacceptable. The companies unwillingness to make it right after two failed transmissions a clear statement of their business ethic. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere for your services. Plain and simple they are not willing to stand behind their product read more

I would highly recommend this shop. They took great care of my car and most of all -- kept me informed. Their techs were highly knowledgeable and I FINALLY left a repair shop feeling good about the whole transaction - from the way they treated my car and me when my car was towed to their shop, to the way they kept me informed during the investigation of what was wrong with my car, to letting me know what was found and when it would be fixed, to the quick repair, to the invoice and the way I didn't feel gouged in their prices.
