This business claims that due to an error in the appointment it's intentional and blocks you off for making an appointment with no explanation. They claim that they emailed you for the confirmation of the appointment and reiterated to him via email that I never got any email. It was the only time I received an email from him when I reached out to Groupon. They claim that they called and I never had a missed call from my phone...wow this business is shady...it's hard to find the place and you are treating your customer that all the loop holes of your business is the fault of the customer.. read more

Just okay, not a great massage. Relaxing but not very healing. She didn't use enough pressure to really get any knots out. If you get the groupon they will not focus on a specific area of the body. They insist that the groupon is a full body massage, but if you buy a massage from them then you can customize it. I don't understand- I'm not asking for deep tissue or more time. How does it make a difference to them if I want the 20 minutes allotted for my legs to be spent on my shoulders instead? Seems like just another company who doesn't treat you well when you have a groupon. Total mistake- groupon is perfect to give someone a preview of how amazing your business is. Found them from a Groupon. I've been suffering from overuse injury of Piraformis and associated leg muscles for 18 months. Acupuncturist who has been amazing suggested I could also look into deep muscle massage. In addition. I rarely have enjoyed massages over the years trying couples or relaxing ones about 10 different times over the years. I'm very thankful that I tried each of the different people here as for me Lidia has been perfect at concentrating on breaking up the knots and stretching my legs. You are responsible for speaking up and asking for specific areas and how much tension you want/need as sorry to tell you no one, not even Lassie can read your mind. I went here because my husband had purchased an Amazon local special for me. I chose Lydia to do my massage (partly because my sis-in-laws name is also Lydia lol). The place isn't a spa, its more of like misuses working out of a doctors office... if you can imagine it. It wasn't bad... so please don't think that lol. They didn't play traditional massage type of music. It was more upbeat music and less relaxing I thought. I went in, was taken back quickly, and the massage was great. She even schooled me a bit about why they insist you drink water after a massage and so on. I love learning new things so I found that refreshing. She actually knew what she was doing and why she was doing it! Love that! The only thing that I found bad and really can't go back again because of it was that I broke out in hives after leaving. I think I am allergic to the massage oil she used : ( So I think it's best I stay away. Also, on a minor note... I was not sure about purchasing a Groupon for this place because a previous review said that they do not treat people with Groupon well. I'm not sure why they would offer Groupon if they do not treat those customers well, but that was my experience. I bought my husband a Groupon, and he said the woman spent more time adjusting the sheet and walking around than actually massaging him. We paid $39 through Groupon, and it was not worth that. He has had better massages at the foot massage places. Came in because Certified Hands Upland was literally right down the block from me, and I found an unbeatable Groupon deal to come try them out! It was nice being able to book appointments whenever I wanted online, and easily see their availability as well as which therapists were available at what time. I chose the earliest appointment I could and had the pleasure of being served by Kayla! The office is very private and clean, and felt like a relaxing place to be as soon as you walk in. Kayla greeted me when I walked in the door, and was very kind and attentive when asking me about which areas were bothering me the most. I've had some extremely painful lower back and neck pain since a surf trip a few weeks ago, and told her that was my main reason for coming in. I LOVED her massage! I didn't have to say a word the entire time, she knew exactly how much pressure was comfortable and therapeutic the entire hour. She made sure to ask how I was doing periodically, and was very professional and obviously great at her job. At the end of the massage I felt 10x better! Thought I should give an update to my last review. Received email from Alex, owner of Certified Hands apologizing for our experiance at his facility. Not only did he take the time to respond, he went above offering us both a free massage to give them another try. Since my boyfriend was hesitant I scheduled mine first with Gwen. Have to say she did an excellent job! Not only was she professional, she was friendly and eager to help with my troubled areas. Although I prefer deep tissue massage, it was very relaxing. With the exception of asking me about pressure, there was hardly any conversation unless I initiated. Considering you are there to relax, this is a major plus in my book. I would definately reschedule with Gwen again. Probably shouldn't have based my experiance on one therapist..... I have booked with CH 2X now, both times through a Living Social coupon, but I was mightily impressed with the quality of both sessions. I was with Natali the first time, and I wished I would have booked 90 minutes, the table was heated, the face cradle perfectly soft and tilted and I discovered Deuter Radio on Pandora, which I use now! Lydia was pretty awesome the second time and I was so impressed I left gifts or her and (Alex?) the coordinator... Do yourself a favor and book a massage with these sweet and talented gals if you're anywhere near the Haven Avenue area of RC. They're inside a chiro/physical therapy facility which suits them perfectly, but I'd love to see them in a more Zen-space. Namaste! read more

So unprofessional. The place doesn't even have someone to answer phones. You have to leave a message with no one replying or book available appointments on line. I booked three appointments for my family with Shaina. I screenshot the confirmation with Shaina's name on all 3 appointments. Got a call from Shaina to cancel our appointments last minute (less than 1 hour before the appointment) saying their therapist was sick, when we're all dressed to go. The call got disconnected and Shaina never bothered to call back. On the website it says she and Lydia are the only therapists available that you can book with, but apparently that's not true and it's pretty inaccurate because I booked with Shaina and she's telling me my therapist is out sick. What business chaos and faux pas! Funny thing is, they say in the website fine print is that if you cancel last minute (24 hrs or less), you get charged for the appointment, but when they do it, it's OK with no consequences to them. This is hypocrisy at its best. Had to go through the process of getting three refunds on Groupon. Lesson learn: Call the business to make sure there's a person to answer the phone before you buy your Groupon so you don't waste precious time and energy. Zero star rating, really. One star rating is mandatory to submit review. LMAO, this business is a joke! Don't waste your money with this place. There are plenty of other massage place choices that will definitely be better. read more

I purchased a deal on Amazon Local and went in for a massage with Brianna today. It was fab-u-lous!!! She was professional, friendly and conscientious. The room was nicely decorated and the music was perfect for me. Brianna did a great job of working all the knots out of my poor back. She asked if any spot needed attention, and when I told her my back and shoulders she went to work! Wow. I usually get reflexology massages, so this was my first time at a regular massage place. I left super early, because it is not exactly close to my house (around 50 mins), so I got there 45 mins early. Natali was awesome. I am used to extreme deep tissue (I have had people dig their knees into me before), so her smooth, softer deep tissue was different and new to me. I was not quite sure what to think until I left. I feel so loose right now. I don't think any masseuse has ever successfully gotten all my knots out within an hour, but she came quite close even though, as she said within 30 seconds of my massage, "[my] neck is really tight!!" I struggle with how many stars to give because 2 out of the 3 times I've been here I received great massages. Based on my two previous experiences I was expecting another great massage. I was wrong. It was one of the most disappointing massages I've ever gotten. The therapist was...distracted is the only way I can describe it. I've gotten better massages from my boyfriend while he was watching football games. Her primary technique seemed to be rubbing muscles up and down with her forearm for almost the whole massage. I get therapist's fingers need a break and it can be more effective at times on certain muscles to use forearms, but come on. She didn't spend more time on my neck and shoulders, like I requested, and certainly didn't try to work out any knots. The first two massages were fantastic, but the last one was a complete waste of time and money. Going here is a gamble that might pay off, or not. read more

My massage was just under an hour. This included prep time for undressing and dressing at the end of the massage which was a bit of a disappointment. The therapist had her phone in the next room which was going off constantly which was a bit of a distraction. The massage itself was not great by any means. I felt like I was just being rubbed in the same direction for the entire hour. I requested focus areas which were ignored and got a full body rub down. Finally redeemed my living social voucher here the other day. Natali was very sweet and attentive. She really took the time to understand where my problem areas were and worked very thoroughly on those areas. The rooms were reasonably big, clean, and had beautiful music and ambiance. The only thing I didn't care for was that because Certified Hands is located within another business, which is closed on Saturdays, you have to wait outside until your masseuse comes to get you at your appointment time. I would take off a star for this because it was freezing outside that day, but I have a feeling that it has more to do with the business they're located in, than Certified Hands themselves. If you want to avoid this, you should probably schedule on a weekday when the partner business is open. Despite this, however, it was overall great experience! I've been getting regular massages from Lidia for four months now and remain very satisfied. She is skilled, professional, and courteous. I can ask her to focus on certain parts that are tight (e.g., neck or shoulders). Paul did a wonderful job addressing my problem areas and I felt I could even breath deeper after. It was also nice to have the ability to schedule your appointment online. I have been a client of Certified Hands for over a year. I first found it as an Amazon Local. My first massage I had Nataly. She was professional and gave a great massage. Because of scheduling conflicts (mine); I had Lydia next and I have had her ever since. Lydia is very professional and always asks if there are any trouble spots and works on them until they are better. She is very sensitive to my responsiveness and will talk only if I initiate a conversation. Her massages are very relaxing, so I almost always fall asleep for a portion of the massage. If I have a painful area, she works at it gradually so there is no pain or painful after effects. Lydia always uses enough oil so there is no excessive 'pull' on my skin. The heated table, warm blankets, face cradle, air purifier and hot towels are absolutely terrific! Water and mints are available to take with you. I always have a 90 minute massage and this is the best place I've found. I've had many massages over the last 20 year, all over the country and Lydia is in the top 5%. Purchased a deal on Groupon and decided to give it a try last week. Made an appointment at Uplands since Rancho Cucamonga was fully booked. The service here was below average, no proper greeting or advice was given prior massage but that didn't bother me. However the massage provided was not up to standard. I have booked for a 60 minute massage, and was not given a full 60 minute massage as promised on their website. The massage therapist was not professional as well, he kept on working on same strokes and did not seem devoted to provide a professional massage. There were couple of times I asked for more pressure but it did not last long. The massage therapist stomach kept on growling from the start till the end of the massage, which I could not enjoy the massage. Disappointed and would not recommend the upland location. read more

I've been going to this company for many years and I can honestly say that all the therapist are good. Of course I've had my favorite's. Briana is thee best! But every massage has always been exceptional. I suffer from a birth defect in my spine, plus vertebra's bulging. They've all done a great job knowing how to massage me. I always get deep tissue massages because it's the only massage that helps my pain. After a massage I feel great the next day. Alex the owner goes above and beyond to ALWAYS make sure your 100% satisfied in the service you receive.
