I just had my second prenatal massage with Audrey. My first was at around 28 weeks and my second at 38 weeks and my goodness the amount of relief I feel immediately following is unreal. For $85 at this time you really cannot beat it. It's the best massage I've ever had and I've had dozens if not hundreds. The staff are very friendly and the owner is the sweetest lady ever! I wish I lived closer so I can come here more often. Their prices are beyond reasonable and they don't try to upsell you for anything. I appreciate the way all of them conduct business but also make you feel like they're part of your own personal self-care team. My only "warning" for anyone is to ALWAYS arrive at least 10-15 minutes early for your appointment - especially if you're a first timer! They have an intake form you fill out and it's always nice to get settled before getting pampered. If you arrive directly at your appointment time, it will cut into whatever your service is. But once you're a repeat customer, it's pretty quick and they make sure they keep their schedule on track so no one falls behind (which I greatly appreciate!!!). read more

I have been going here for years now, whenever I can make time for myself that is which is NOT often enough as a mom of two. The owner and every person I have had an appointment with has always made we feel so welcome, comfortable and of course has always provided wonderful service. I bruise easy and have lupus so can not have certain services so they have worked with me on what fits me best and have really listened to my concerns and checked in to makes sure I was doing good throughout the service. I typically enjoy the facials and body scrubs!!! I leave so relaxed and my skin never feels better. I am so thankful for this Soa and the people who fill it! My fiancée and I had facials booked for 9am and 10am. Nobody showed up for the entire hour and a half that we waited outside. I called multiple times and nobody picked up until well after my appointment was over. The woman on the phone was combative, unapologetic, and unwilling to help us out in the slightest. Her excuse was that she was "double booked" at the spa but there was clearly nobody in the entire suite. I'm beyond upset at the disrespect this business has had for our time. Okay... So up front, I'm a spa snob. And I have a lot to say. Summary: Good massage. Bad experience. Went for a 60-minutes couples massage with a groupon. PROS: -It's a great massage. Very enjoyable. I had Anne and she was very professional, skilled. It was a very enjoyable massage. No question there. -The hot stones are HOT. Which I like. Some folks might not like their stones to be scalding hot. But you can let them know. -They were very clear about making sure we knew we could tell them anything; if something was uncomfortable or too hot etc. -Again, great massage. Can't stress that enough. CONS: Weeks in advance: -WHY DO YOU NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE?!?!?! Are they trying to not be a professional establishment?? I called over 20 times and they NEVERRRRR ANSWERED. I resorted to MESSAGING THEM ON FACEBOOK to which I got a short answer that ended with "give us a call to schedule your appointment." -_- The STRESS ALONE caused by trying to contact them was enough for anyone to be in need of a massage. Hire a front desk clerk. Get a phone with multiple lines. CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS BACK! -Confirmation needed to ensure that the massage happens? What?? I already scheduled it, but okay. I call back to confirm and guess what? No answer. So I leave a voicemail. Day of massage, I go and hope to God that they didn't cancel my appointment because I didn't "confirm." Thankfully they didn't. Still more undue stress. -There is no information on their "site" about what to do before the appointment. How early to arrive? What to bring? What to expect? In fact, they don't have a site. They have a Facebook page... which besides the occasionally ad is all personal posts about the personal lives of the employees/owner. Again, is this a professional establishment or is my massage going to be in someone's living room? DAY OF MASSAGE: -In the photos attached I show the "waiting room" which had a Keurig machine, nice! But NO WATER? We were excited to have some coffee buuut guess not. Okay, how about some water? Oh, that's empty too. All that's left is a vase full of 30 year old tootsie rolls. Wonderful. The magazines they have are outdated as well, but now I'm just being nit picky, I know. -There is awkwardly no music in the whole place. Only in the massage room. So we felt verrrry uncomfortable sitting in silence in the waiting room with not a single soul in sight... I would suggest a little spa music in there too, folks. -They finally came and got us to start the massage 12 minutes late! The actual massage started idk when, and went "over" only by 10 minutes. Glad they at least went over by that much. Still unprofessional to be starting late. -In the massage room, during the massage there was a very distracting clock ticking next to my bf's head. Get a digital one, folks. -There was loud talking outside the door and there was a knocking and slamming sound coming from the next room. Overall, such a stressful experience trying to schedule the appointment, get there, and even be there. The only good part was the actual skills of the massage therapist. They are great. It's just way too bad that's it's such a hell ride trying to book an appointment. Hopefully they improve, but even if they don't, they have plenty of loyal patrons keeping them open. WOW!! This place actually lives up to its name!! That was, "hands down," The. BEST. Massage. EVER!!! Seriously, the best I've ever had in my LIFE, & I've been getting massages for over 35 years! Your first impression may be questionable as they're situated in a long, funky strip mall, but if their cute landscaping & classy sign is any indication, this place is GREAT!! I was running late for a 7 PM appt., and felt so bad that I couldn't even call them while driving there. But when I arrived at least 5 - 6 minutes late, I was so relieved to be met by two lovely, friendly girls who reassured me that it was okay & I could still get my massage. The interior was tastefully decorated with an elegant vibe, and I was offered the opportunity to use the restroom before my massage. (GREAT after driving there for the first time & getting a tad lost!) My massage therapist was Alexis, and she was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! She used all kinds of techniques that were new to me, and just DIVINE!! She exudes a kind, friendly, yet calming presence, and I loved every minute of my time with her. (She even gave me a full hour, despite my tardiness to my appt.!) The background music was lovely & relaxing, and I could've sworn that she even managed to synchronize her gorgeous long strokes to the music! LOL!! It was all incredibly HEAVENLY - so the place really does leave you feeling like you've been on "Cloud 9!" I highly recommend Alexis if you can get her; she was really OUTSTANDING in every way!! read more

Did a groupon for a couples massage - my BF's first one! I think I paid around $120 + tip for a couples massage with hot stones. The facility was very clean. Looked like they'd recently remodeled. In the waiting area was a keurig where you could make chai tea or coffee while you waited. The room was very relaxing. They even had heated blankets! That was a first for me at a massage. The therapists were very quiet while they worked. The massage itself was very good! Not the best I've ever had, but it was still great. Only complaint was that we arrived 15 min early as is customary before a massage and the door was locked. Lights dark inside and no sign on the door. When someone finally did open, I was confused bc there were plenty of employees inside besides just the therapists ... ie, no need to have the place locked up for shortage of staff or anything. They also opened 5 min after our appt time. The experience started out stressful bc I'd confirmed my appt the day before, then took off work early in Pasadena to fly to upland to be on time for our appt only to think for 15-20 min that they'd closed and forgotten about us! read more

I feel really bad putting this review up but honestly I was so grossed out by the place. I purchase a couples massage which I purchase back in February and had to wait until now to get it. Since everything was booked. The waiting area is very nice but once you go in the massage room is very dirty. The carpet is sticky I did not want to walk on it. The walls have like oil splashed all over them. The curtains are very dusty The staff however was amazing. Friendly and sweet the massage was amazing as well. I can't complain on any of the staff. My sister bought me a body scrub as a gift for winning a teacher of the year award. I made the appointment, provided my name and phone number. They called me a day prior to confirm, called me the day of.. and when I showed up they told me I wouldn't be able to use it because I had used a Groupon before and my sister had purchased it as a Groupon gift. I understand that they have policies, however they had my information and could have checked prior to me showing up. Here's the thing, I was there, the Groupon would have paid for the scrub, Raquel would have gotten a nice tip, and I would have walked away relaxed. I hope my sister can get a refund. I discovered On Cloud Nine Day Spa while surfing Groupon. They had a great deal, only $40 for a 60 minute body scrub. I have had many massages, but never a body scrub, so count me in! Oh ....and don't forget to check in on Yelp and get an additional free 15 minutes. This cute day spa is located in Upland. I was greeted as soon as I came in and checked in for my appointment. There was a nice relaxing seating area with complimentary snacks, water, tea, and coffee. The spa smelled like yummy mint eucalyptus . Raquel escorted me to a private room for my body scrub. The room had a relaxing ambience of dim lights, candles , nice smell, and rain sounding background music. Raquel was very good at communicating what she was doing and made sure I had a positive experience by asking what type of pressure I like. Along with the scrub, lotion, oils, and hot stones were applied to moisturize my skin. I asked if my scrub was salt or sugar? She stated it was sugar. I asked which was better? She said that the sugar scrub has bigger grains and salt is more fine. They both do the same thing but feel slightly different. She mentioned that people with high blood pressure don't get salt scrubs because the salt absorbs into the skin. This may be a health risk especially for older clients. I joked " so do people with diabetes have to get the salt scrub?" Lol , the sugar absorbed into me and made me extra sweet. She focused a little extra on my feet to make them summer ready. No complaints here. I feel soft and relaxed. Raquel did an awesome job. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. read more

Take me to Cloud Nine....ZzzZz The most painful maintenance a girl will ever have to endure is during bikini season and I have to admit it's not fun to have a stranger wax your lady bits. I've always bought at-home wax kits and done the waxing myself but I happened to stumble upon a livingsocial deal for a Brazilian wax and figured I'd leave the maintenance for a professional this time around. When I first called to make an appointment I had a lady tell me that everything was booked and I had to wait until after July 4th or schedule an appointment at 2pm on a Monday. Since I had a trip planned for Vegas for 4th of July weekend I opted for the Monday appointment. Then on Monday morning I called to confirm my appointment but they never had me down for an appointment! Although, Raqual (owner) was apologetic and rescheduled me for 5:30pm on Wednesday which worked out a lot better with my work schedule. She was also extremely informative on what I needed to do to prep for a Brazilian wax. Then on Wednesday as I was driving to Cloud Nine after work I was stuck in major traffic. I arrived about 20 minutes late and was terrified that I had to come back again since I was leaving for Vegas the next day. Raquel was super patient with me and somehow squeezed me in although I had to wait 45 minutes for the next available esthetician. I had Monique who did my waxing and she was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. She promised we would be BFFs for the duration of the waxing session and she was right! She was extremely personable and made me feel right at home. She also talked me through what she was doing so I had a peace of mind. Overall, the waxing did hurt but it was bearable and I wouldn't ask for a better person than Monique when I come back. I purchased a couples swedish massage on Groupon (half off the regular price). We arrived 10 minutes late because we had some trouble finding the location, but we still received the full hour massage. There was some paperwork to fill out (liability stuff) which doesn't get your mind in relax-mode, but as soon as you slip into a robe and sip some tea your cares fade away. Our masseuses were Jackie (often referred to as a small, petite woman) and another lady. Yes, they are kind and soft spoken but they are tough on knots, sore spots, and kinks! I run so my quads and hamstrings get tight and twice I had to ask my masseuse to ease up a little. She quickly adjusted the amount of pressure on my body and often asked if the pressure was enough. It was my first time having hot stones on my back and it was amazing. The lotions/oils were citrusy but not overly potent. Overall, a great experience. They lose a star because as we left the room, the receptionist snapped us back to reality by eagerly selling us another half-off gift certificate. I wasn't expecting to dismissed with a sales pitch, but I have to admit that I did purchase and will be back. read more

I bought two gift certificates for myself after that initial session seeing as how they have (had?) a special for $45 massages at that time. Although I forgot my gift certificate the second time I came in (ugh!) they charged me the special rate. I was happy to pay it because a massage with Sabrina is well worth it and my neck and back needed it after a migraine a week before. About the massage: Sabrina asks what, if any, issue you be having. My mom and I got a gift certificate to this location. When we first pulled up it has a great curb appeal, we walked in and were greeted right away by Alexis we had a 10am appointment and were taken back to the waiting area to find out some questions before we got started on our couples massage. Alexis and Jackie came to greet us and lead us to our room. We got a swedish massage and we loved it. I personally had Jackie and she was amazing!!! I suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis so she was gentle when she needed to be and firm enough to get the knots out. My mom had Alexis and she was so happy she was literally on cloud 9 lol. The sound music the play and turning down the lights made that much more of a difference! Our massage included the hot stones which felt amazing I definitely recommend this place! At the time of payment we were offered a one time 40% off any services for being a first time customer! Which is a great deal... only down side is it has to be purchased that day. I had it done with the oxygen add-on which felt nice but results-wise was a waste of money. I've never felt the place was super clean. It's not shiny n bright like some other places I've been to, something just screams 'dingy'. My biggest pet peeve tho is they charge a dollar if you pay with card (seriously? This place had some pretty good reviews but I didn't have a good experience when I walked in The massage roomI notice trash on the ground and also a lot of Lin witch accumulates when you obesely don't clean so in small words it was pretty dirty witch made me feel a bit uncomfortable! Found this place on Groupon where they offered an amazing Brazilian wax deal. I bought 3 waxes and used my first one last month. When I called the establishment, a nice lady picked up and tried to answer all my questions the best that she could and was careful not to give me any information that she was unsure about! I was on my period at the time and needed to get waxed for my event on the weekend, and I asked her if that was okay haha. Anyways she wasn't really sure since she didn't do the waxing, so we scheduled an appointment for me the very last minute before my event so my period could have time to end. She was very nice and patient and took her time to find an appointment that worked with my schedule :) When I got there, I signed some forms and filled out my information in a waiting room where there was coffee and tea available through the keurig machine. There was a nice lavender scented candle lit to calm your nerves! I've only gotten waxed a few times before at other places, and all of those places used hard wax. On Cloud Nine Day Spa uses soft wax! I was scared at first, since I've never been waxed using soft wax before, and I hadn't gotten waxed since last summer. It hurt really bad! With hard wax, it barely hurt at all, but with soft wax, I wanted to scream and cry LOL. My waxer told me that it hurts more than usual because I just ended my period. You are more sensitive when you're about to start, on, or just ended your period! But its okay, cuz pain is beauty.. I was happy to see that my waxer took into consideration what I had written on the paper they made me fill out, such as my cycle dates :) she worked really fast and tried to keep me distracted, and also took the time to pluck any remaining hairs at the end. IM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO SAY that even though a month has passed, my hair still hasn't really grown back! Usually with hard wax, I see it growing back a week later. However, with my past experience here, my hair didn't even start to grow back until like 2-3 weeks later.. how amazing O_O even though the soft wax hurt more, the results were way better and long lasting! Worst experience I've ever had at a spa. Ordered this on Groupon for me and my husband. We tried to book an appointment and we couldn't get one for a month later, we get a call the day before and unfortunately had to reschedule due to an emergency. So when we reschedule, the receptionist said it would be a month and a half out to make an appointment. Mind you with using Groupon they give us an expiration date to use it by. And that was the week it expires when they could give us another appointment, we make the appointment (on a weekday right after work so we could rush there.) So a month and a half goes by....and we talked about how we knew it was coming up but forgot the exact day (yes that was our fault) but we knew they would call us a day before to confirm (like before) so then we could still make it. Never got a call the day before, they ended up calling us an hour before our appointment which would be impossible for us to make it by. My husband calls to let them know we never got the call. They say "it's your responsibility to remember" and tell him it's a $20 charge to rebook. So I call after and explain the situation how we never got a call and how a month and a half of an advance of an appointment it would've been nice to get the call the day before, and right away the woman on the phone was rude to me and called me "honey" after every reply back to me. I told her that was super condescending of her to do that to me when we've waited a month and a half (AFTER rescheduling) to book, now our Groupon is expiring and it's our fault completely for them not calling us? And to be quite honest It actually wouldn't have even been that big of a problem if the lady on the phone wasn't so rude to me to begin with. So as far as customer service goes in MY experience was as horrible as they come.
