Took my dress pant to shorten the length. 3 days later, When I picked it up, the end fold up 2 inches high which I didn't like it. When I dropped off the original pant, the end fold up 1 inch (Make sense right?, most pant has 1 inch fold up with stitch) I asked him the owner if he can make it right, he yelled at me "if you don't to pay, just take your pant and leave" I'm not sure why he reacted that way. After calling several places in the area, most either couldn't do it in time or were quoting much higher prices--until I called Conrado. He picked up the phone himself, was incredibly polite and friendly, and immediately let me know he could take care of it by the next day at a very reasonable price. I brought the pants in, he took a quick look, confirmed everything, and told me to come back the next day. Sure enough, I came back and the pants were ready, perfectly hemmed, and fit just right. I just wanted to have my son's shorts fitted with a garter, and it doesn't matter to me if the length is shortened, but he doesn't understand that. It wasn't right the first time so I left the garment with them again to fix it and it still was not done right and they charged me an additional $10 over the original quote because they had to redo it even though they did not wrong. My usual tailor shop was closed down due to construction so I resorted to coming here. Did a great job tailoring two pairs of my pants and got it done in somewhat of a timely manner. The only downside would be his pricing is rather expensive. He charged $40 for what my usual tailor would charge $14. Good service but not worth the price in my opinion. read more

Overpriced tailoring. I was charged $18 for hemming pants. I've been to other tailors that did a better job for $8-$10. When I asked how much to slim down the legs and seat on a pair of suit pants I had, the tailor quoted $45. We needed to take my 3 year old son to get his tux tailored for a wedding. We gave Cerritos Tailor Shop a call to see if they can do it in a timely manner since the big event was fast approaching. The man said, "yes!" What a life saver... so....I....thought! My little man got suited and booted while the semi-kind yet stern man chalked him up. After all the tailor talk, he said that it'll be ready by 5pm on Thursday (the day before the wedding). Mind you, we came in on a Tuesday afternoon. The price tag was $40. All seems to be going according to plan. On Thursday, I decided to call ahead of time to see if they were finished earlier. It was 12:30pm. I asked if the little boy's suit was finished yet and if it was possible to pick it up earlier then 5pm. He was SUPER rude and said that it was for pick up @ 5pm. Which I totally understand but he OBVIOUSLY hasn't even started on it yet. I ain't mad, just kind of pissed since he was being such an @$$ over the phone. Oh well, I guess we'll just pick it up at 5pm. Shux! 5pm rolls around and guess what.... it STILL wasn't done! We waited another 15 minutes while they half @$$ed what needed to be done. Strings hanging off a pant leg and a lousy press job that didn't even hold during the car ride to the house. IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?? To top it all off, they were all still too big. I had to roll his pants @ the waist and safety clip his blazer to fit him for his walk down the aisle as the ring bearer. Ghetto! I went to Snow White on Norwalk Blvd to drop of a bridesmaid dress the day AFTER we turned in the tiny tux here. It took her a day to have mine ready to rock and roll && it cost me a helluva lot less and much better craftsmanship. SMH... never again Cerritos Tailor. read more

This tailor is THE BEST! I live in Pasadena but work in Cerritos. For the longest time I was looking for a tailor near my home that I could count on to go for all my tailoring needs. Needless to say, I couldn't find one that I was happy with. I decided to look for one closer to my work and came across this tailor. I took a couple of dress shirts and slacks to "test" him out, thinking I'd be let down as usual. Well, was I surprised! Great work! I like the way he will give you his professional suggestion and then you make the decision on what you want to do. No pressure whatsoever. He is right on when it comes to what he tells you though. Fast forward 2 weeks, I have now taken 11 dress shirts, 8 pairs of slacks and 1 suit for re-altering to this tailor. These are items I had for at least a year and I was wearing them not really happy on how they fit. I now have a whole new wardrobe that fits perfect. I feel like a new, stylish man. LOL! I highly recommend this nice man. You won't be disappointed with his work. TIP: his shop is a little hard to find. He is off of Del Amo and Pioneer but you won't see him in the main shopping center area on the corner. I had a tailoring emergency (go ahead, laugh) and this was the closest place too my house. So I decided to call at 5:35 on a Saturday night to see of they were still open. Luckily for me someone answered. The following is a transcript of that conversation: Ct: "Hello Cerritos Tailoring can I help you?" Me: "yes, what time do you close tonight?" Ct: "in about 30 minutes" Me: "Is there anyway I can get some jeans hemmed tonight?" Ct: "Ummm, sure. When did you want to pick them up?" Me: "tonight" (enter laughter from both parties, then an akward moment of silence) Ct: " can you get here in 10 minutes?" Me: " I sure can" Ct: "I'll do it for you" Me: "thank you so much!!!" Great store. Needed some shirts tailored because I am the owner of a disproportionate body (I have a 5'3" wingspan on a 5'7" frame). $18 for shirts, $9 for pants. Waaaay cheaper than doing it at Men's Wearhouse and the turnaround time was relatively quick (not instant, but I got my shirt back in around 3 days.) I had come here because I had brought my jeans to be altered at the dry cleaner in the same plaza and the tailor had done an atrocious job. Bad doesn't even begin to describe it. She had used the wrong thread, the stitching looks super flimsy, the hemming was not straight, and the 2 sides of the hem don't even meet on one of the legs! I'm not a denim expert but at first glance I could tell that it's horribly done. Argued with the tailor to no avail. And I left pissed off and looking for another tailor to fix that horrendous job. The tailor here was very understanding when I told him what happened. He told me to try the jeans on just to make sure that the length is fine. And I'm glad he did. He was kind enough to point out that one leg on the jeans was slightly shorter than the other one (a fact that I suspected but was not absolutely sure, like I said, I'm not the sharpest at this kind of things). He carefully marked the correct length of both legs and even showed me 2 different kinds of threads for me to choose. When I asked if it's possible to pick up next day, he readily agreed that it'll be ready after 5pm. I had just picked up my jeans 2 hours ago. And he had done a perfect job. The stitching blends in with the original stitchings on the jeans and look very secure. He had also fixed the length so the 2 legs are the same now. And he didn't even charge me additional for removing the badly-done stitching! When you need tailoring done, go to a tailor who knows what he's doing. Business is located on the side of the whole plaza, sort of hard to find. They're really friendly guys. I went in to get the sleeves of my jacket cut. They said it would take a week or so to finish, but since I needed it 4 days earlier they made an exception. Paid a reasonable price for such a rush. I was told to pick it up 5:30pm (store and gates were already close), but I got there at 5:45 and luckily they were still in there. I got my jacket nicely done perfectly in time for my event. Be careful with your personal items! The tailor removed the jacket hood and restitched it however he kept the hood. I told him that is part of the jacket and he said he threw it away, yea rite. Quality jacket from the company I work for he is probably going to re sew it for a family member. He also refused to give me a discount. Not an honest person.
