I went to Mona's Tailors today after another tailor couldn't handle a requested job. I needed a zipper in a thick material hoodie. Plus the previous tailor didn't do a very good job on putting a scoop neck in a -t-shirt and needs to be re-done. There was no hesitation from Mark. Sure no problem on the zipper and no problem on fixing the T-shirt! Whew! Very professional, personable, knowledgeable and experienced. You are now my go-to for all my tailoring needs! I'm a 2023 bride and was stressing about where to get my wedding dress altered at an affordable price. I knew it could get pricey as I was planning on altering the neckline and adding some customizations. I visited a few places to try to get a ballpark quote and interact with different tailors to see whose work I trusted the most. I called the number to confirm details and see if the tailors here could create my vision. Mark answered my call and let me know that he needed to see the dress in order to provide a quote, but that he could do what I described on the phone. I came in the next day and told Mark what I needed: change neckline, add a slit, bustle, hem, and add boob cups. He took a look at my dress and said no problem. It was evident from our interaction that he is knowledgeable and incredibly skilled. He was such a gentleman too! He gave me a quote and texted it to me. He let me know to text him to set up an alteration appointment two months before the wedding so that the alterations would be accurate. He accommodated my budget and just made me feel at ease. I felt so grateful to have found him and was excited for him to be the one to alter my dress. Such a relief!! As the two month mark approached, I texted and called the number to schedule my appointment. No answer. I followed up a few times over text and nothing. Somebody eventually texted me back and said he was out of town and that he would return in a few days (Wednesday). I didn't hear back so I followed up on Friday and again, nothing. Disappointed and stressed, I went to find another tailor. I would've loved to have Mark tailor my wedding dress but never heard back. It was probably a blessing in disguise as I don't live very close, but I was willing to make the drive off of my first interaction with Mark. I wish the place good business! I'm sure Mark is a great tailor but it was stressful that I was unable to reach him. Overall, an a-okay experience! 3/5 stars read more

I ordered a custom bridesmaid dress that arrived too large. I couldn't exchange it, so I needed to find a tailor to bring it in around the bust. From a friend's recommendation, I dropped my dress off with Mark on my lunch break in a Tuesday. And later that week, on Saturday, it was ready to be picked up. This was such a clutch move, as I'm sure the turn around time can take much longer depending on the season. This dress fit freaking perfect!! I had bought a vest on Amazon and despite choosing the smallest size it was way too big for me. Disappointed and a bit concerned (I needed it for my Halloween costume), I decided to take it to this tailors. I was a bit worried since some of the reviews said they took too long or they cut it weird, and also it's my first time going but they were nice, pinned me up, and then gave me their phone number so they could text me when it was done. I followed up with them 2 days later and they said it'd be done by that day. I picked it up a day later and it fits way better now! Overall, good customer service. read more

Every time I ever needed to have anything tailored I always went to him and he always did the work perfectly. One time we bought some car seat covers that were made for a different year car than ours and he tailored those covers so that they fit our seats. He was amazing. read more

The tailoring there is worth every penny. The last time I was there was about ten years ago. Mark, who I believe is the owner, has not aged! What I like about Mark is his attention to detail. I recently bought a suit that needed tailoring and Mark worked his magic. For a big guy like myself, he was able to cater to what I wanted, but also he was able to give his feedback and thoughts what I truly appreciated. I come here for hemming. They do a great job and are always on time (I've had four pairs hemmed here now). Owner is friendly and told me he is really busy but he won't open more stores because he likes to make sure the clothes are hemmed to his standards - "no Mickey Mouse job" to use his words, lol. The only issue is the pricing has gone up each time I went there, ($10 the first time to $14 the last time, although the first pair was women's jeans but not sure why $12 for men's jeans one time and $14 for men's jeans just 3 months later). I'll still go there though because they're reliable, unless they charge me another $2 extra next time I go back for more hemming. read more

Absolutely loved this place ! I needed an emergency fix on my wedding dress and monas was recommended to me. They were able to take out the zipper and transform my ball gown into a corset back in a timely manner. So friendly and well priced! I've been coming here since 2004 when they tailored my senior prom dress so well that I felt like an absolute princess. They made the most beautiful alterations and added a sash to a special occasion dress for me in 2012 that made the dress look custom made, and I guess in a way it was. I just brought my favorite jeans here to get patched in the inner thigh (#thickthighproblems lol) and the workman ship is great and it even looks like they pressed my jeans for me! Then, two or three visits later he asked how the pants were working out. I was impressed that he remembered and followed up.
