It is much larger than the downtown venue. They do have off-street parking, which is a plus. Dear Hubby and I stopped by as they were transitioning to Christmas from Fall/Thanksgiving/Harvest. I can imagine that it's a large undertaking! Some areas were set up and ready for the season ahead, while others were a work in progress. I didn't mind that, but it did make it more challenging to shop. Also, there was a group of women in the store that were chatting with each other, and would stop in one area that was key to passage to other parts of the store. Thus, I didn't get to see everything that I wanted to, as I didn't want to interrupt their visit. The interior space can be tight in certain areas, but they definitely have a lot of pretty merchandise to show off. They do fresh floral arranging, and a large amount of beautiful giftware. I bought two expensive cotton dish towels, which I turned in to pillow covers. The print featured old fashioned Santas and woodland creatures in a snowy forest. So charming! I believe I'll always remember that they came from this shop. Prices are full retail, though you might occasionally find something that catches your eye and doesn't make your wallet say, "Ouch".

In visiting a winery around the corner (Cork, you should totally check it out) I parked right in front of this little boutique shop and the beautiful arrangements drew my eyes in like a kid to a candy store. From the succulent arrangements, Mediterranean themed candles, vintage baby blankets and books, and flannel varieties all soft as silk, this shop seemed to have it all. It reminded me of Carpinteria's beachy antique shops, all full of random priceless goods that come from near and far. I bought myself an adorable little hear shaped, metal bent ring for $14.50 as the price seemed marked as $4.50 and that was reasonable ring price for me. However, while scanning my card the gal working repeated the price aloud and did in fact apologize for the label not reading clearly but went on with the process, and the ring was adorable so I went along with it. I would definitely recommend this shop in finding good gifts for your loved ones around birthdays and holidays, but be fair warned the staff are not the most warm and cuddly people and the prices are somewhat above average. May be back but would probably hit my local thrift and antique stores first.

This program is absolutely amazing. My son has been going to LadyBug Music since he was about six…read moremonths old, and absolutely loves the music, loves the teachers, enjoys how interactive it is with all the parents, enjoy spending time with the other kids that are older and younger. He even recognizes the music now! The welcome song is one of his favorites, and when I sing it at home, he taps along to it. This program is for everybody, not just music lovers, not just moms, and not just the babies... You are not stuck with the traditional nursery rhymes that can get a little tedious after a while (let's be honest). The music is actually really good, and super catchy! Fair warning, you will 100% have the songs stuck in your head. Luckily it's good! When we moved to Ventura County from LA, I wasn't sure how the transition would go with my almost one year-old. But knowing that there was a LadyBug Music program out here, made me feel so much better! We loved it in the valley, and out here it has made a little community for us as well. I look forward to going every single week. And I know my son gets really excited when we are walking in. Over that time my child has learned to clap with the music, shake the shakers, drum with sticks and dance to a rhythm and have an overall great time with music. Emily is a great teacher who interacts with each child, plays guitar an and sings. We go through about eight different songs per class and each song has an interactive element. I would highly recommend this class for young children. My child's love for music has blossomed because of this class.

About a 10 minute drive from the original location) and I was absolutely stunned. When I found out earlier this year that the original location was closing due to the new building owners I was so bummed, and so were many others in the Ojai community. But after visiting the new location, I'm so happy it happened because it is beautiful and so much more spacious! Thank you Jill for keeping Ojai Creates alive and for keeping an art store in Ojai Valley, because there are many of us who want to shop locally!!

The main difference being I think this tape is stickier and could cause slight damage to my antique papers. But I couldn't find anything better locally so at least it's acid free... Ojai Creates is a small shop with an average or light selection of art supplies. That said, they do carry things other people don't, and that's what I came here for. The woman behind the counter was polite and friendly and helped me find their options for tape. Parking on site and the shop was clean and well lit. The florist told me my shirt caught her attention because her name is also MICHELLE ( my moms name) which meant i was meant to be there i immediately became teary eyed and got chills because i felt my mom with me. As for the products/merchandise she had a wide variety of everything - oils, sprays, incense figures/statues, crystals, jewelry, rosaries and different types of "talismans" that you can hang anywhere you want really. I didn't get a reading or cleansing or anything since it wasn't even on my radar since it was my first time just popping in on my way home.
