I had NetworksPDX come and install a new ethernet port and it was great: fast, efficient, and the price was dope. Seriously, you'll be writing a glowing af yelp review like a weirdo afterwards, too.

This company is now out of business. Don't know how they went downhill so badly (according to the…read morereviews), because they did the install on our home in 2007 and it was fantastic and has been trouble-free all this time. I looked them up because we are finally putting in a bigger flat screen and I wanted it done professionally. Luckily I found the contact of the guy who lead the original install in our home, Jeff Kill. He was an employee at Room Service for many years when I met him, and he left Room Service some years ago now has his own company called Ambient Automation. The install guys on his team are also from Room Service. This week (Dec 18, 23) Jeff's new company installed our new 77" Sony, put new HDMI cables through our walls (to support 4K video) and were done in less than 2 hours, and it all worked with our existing universal remote (also provided by Jeff at the original install, and it still works great!) So the 5 star review is for Jeff's new team in case other former customers of Room Service find this review.

Yet again. This place is horrible…read more My folks asked them to install a EASY TO USE set up. That was about 8-10 months ago. We've had nothing but issues with it and not working. Every time we call Mike he bumbles around like an idiot and says "oh yeah it's never easy when you use this system" Are you kidding me? They are old and SPECIFICALLY ASKED for an east set up. I have to reboot the WHOLE set up 2-5 times a day in order for a black screen to not appear. When we told them about this, this was their response "well we can't order a new one cause it'll take way to long." And "this shouldn't be happening, but there's nothing we can do to fix it. If it gets a red light on the tv then we can." Recently some "control 4" stuff wasn't working. My dad contacted Mike and left a message. Still waiting to hear back after about 5 days. That's some real Sus ass crook shit to do. So we bought 10-15 thousand dollar system, and they fucked up, it rarely works, and they say they can't do anything about it. Seriously considering going to small claims court over this.

I really hate when competitors write fake reviews such as the one-star review here. I want everyone to know these guys are great and are the most organized and proficient operation I have seen. Over the years we have face about every possible computer problem known to man and these guys had us back up and running about as fast as you can. I can't say it was instantaneous as we have had some bad self-induced computer problems but TOPs is an all you can eat program meaning we pay one price and they fix everything. They have lost money on us at times I am sure.

I reminded them that I had program data on my C-drive that needed to be saved. But they did not make a backup and wiped out all the information I needed to have saved. The apology I received was "We are very sorry, but at least we learned something from this." And now - and this is important for everyone - since they gave me a new operating system, they made it so I cannot install anything without administrative permissions. As a CPA working with tax and accounting software that update often, this is ridiculous. Right now I have to update my accounting software. By the time I got my boss to drop what he's doing and come to my office to enter the admin password, the accounting software said I aborted the install. So do it all over again, but the accounting software is not very patient and now by the time it's ready to install the updates, my boss is back in his office and here we go again. I've been told that this is something ATS will do on all their clients' computers when they get new computers or setups. Beware CPA firms. You will be wasting two people's billable time just to be able to install required updates on your software if you use this company. Maybe they are all like this. Hopefully our firm will find another IT company soon! Because this is ridiculous.

Still calling them 6 months later as I continue to add more features to our C4 system. And they've never let me down. Some of these reviews are unrealistic in my view. When working with technology things can be unpredictable. Expecting to hook up all this stuff flip a switch and it magically works perfectly is crazy. They've solved every problem eventually. They will tell you that they are doing work for huge companies and individuals and you are lucky to have them. Unfortunately for us, we believed them. First, they gave us a timeframe for installation which ended up being much later than they promised which caused us not to have our system in place for a party. Second, the wireless network that they set up had lots of holes in it. Their sales pitch promised that it would be flawless and if it wasn't, there would be no cost to us for making it right. It took them weeks to come out and analyze it and we had to threaten them to get them to show up. Finally they did. They tried to charge us a few thousand dollars more when it didn't work and blamed the house set up for the problem. The truth is they never came out and checked out how our house was set up and as a result, The system didn't work. They did put in more equipment to make it right and then tried to charge us for it. Eventually they wrote it off. But it was a fight every step of the way and the representations they made to us when we bought the system were simply over exaggerated. Third, we bought this service contract where they represented that they would be able to fix any problem that arose within a day. That simply was false. Today, we have not had I our system working for a few days and after they screwed around with it for a while over the Internet, said that they would not be able to get to it until next week. When we reported the representations that they made, they simply said we'll try, but we only have two technicians. If you are reading this note they only have two technicians that can solve problems. And now we are without our system for another week because they can't fix it. In short, these people overpromise and under deliver and overcharge also. Don't go near them. You are forewarned.
