Huge thanks to the crew at Century Marine, I searched every crack and crevice in the interwebs for a particular flavor rocker switch that seems to have been discontinued. The boat is a 2012 Centurion Enzo, apparently it's "ancient" and I was facing the reality that I will either resort to reworking all of the wiring to accept the new terminal locations of modern rockers, or just deal with one backlight not working. It just so happened that the diligent crew at Century set aside a selection of functioning rocker switches from jobs of past, and they hooked me up with the ever so elusive flavor I needed! I went in to look at a boat after having interest in a new listing they posted. when I went to check out the boat, it was absolutely trashed, it had rained a week prior and there was still an inch of standing water in the boat, the cover was half off and looked absolutely awful. I asked if they did lake tests as I wanted to see how the vessel perf on water and I was told no. whoever the lady manager is in the sales department was very rude, didn't know her own listings and didn't even seem like she wanted to be there. theres enough competition and other boats out there don't waste your time with rude people who don't know their products and don't take care of their inventor. read more

Terrible customer service. They call you to tell you that your boat is ready at the time they initially told you it would be ready, but once you get there you only wait another hour for them to actually get it ready. The other problem is the price of washing the boat is $100.00?! I just spent a total of $1498.14 on the parts & repairs, you can't just wash it for free? These guys charge $145/hour for labor. I can't wait to go to the 3 other boat repair places in the area to compare that price. By the way G&G marine, Mesa marine and unlimited marine all have 5 star ratings. read more

We recently had our boat serviced, so thought I'd add an update. Impeller and gear-oil change, along with shift cable and control cable replacement. We made an appointment about a month in advance and dropped the boat off. Total time for the work to be completed was approximately 6-1/2 business days, and we were happy with that turn-around time. Communication with staff was excellent, and the work was performed properly - Just had it at Saguaro Lake yesterday (6/9/13), and it ran perfectly. My only "complaint" was that the boat was dirty after we got it back - There was grease on some of the upholstery, as well as on a couple of areas of the carpeting. This required a good amount of time for me to clean off. More of an annoyance than anything, but worth taking note of if you have a new-ish or very expensive watercraft that is going to be serviced there. Other than that, a positive experience overall. The boat was purchased and maintained by the previous owner at Century Marine, after I recently messed up my boat and flooded the engine, Century Marine was there for me as if I was a life long customer. All employees I came in contact with from sales, mechanics, service and even management went out of their way to answer and even research all my rookie boater questions and issues to help me fix the problem. They treated me like I was better than family. I can not remember a time when I've had better customer service. They got my boat, and my family out on the water as quickly as they could, and they helped me solved some of the issues on my own. I will be back for all my service, parts and maybe just to say hi! My initial contact with Century Marine was for prop selection. When I called they staff member I spoke to was very helpful, even though I stated I was going to buy my prop elsewhere due to cost. Lost story short, I purchased the prop through Century Marine. When I adjusted my timing (boneheaded move), I decided I would just take to the CM since they seemed so helpful. All it needed was the procedure called Link and Sync, to adjust timing back to where it needed to be. Everything seemed well, mechanic seemed to know what was going on. Fast forward, I pick up the boat the day I am heading to the lake for a week long camping trip. They tell me "boat is running like a top!" So off I go, shore launch the boat so it is just dropped in. Later in the day I go to start it up to go for a ride and it wouldn't start, had to advance the throttle almost all the way forward just to get it to start, and then it would idle rough and stall. Being that I couldn't get it back on the trailer without throttle control, I had to make some adjustments on the spot. I got it to start great, idle all day, and run. It would run to a point of hitting WOT, and then you could feel it back down in RPMS a bit, normal running was 22-24mph and after 20-30 seconds at WOT, it would back down to about 16mph due to lower RPMS. So I take it back to CM after the trip, thinking they just needed to double check the work they did on timing and I get a story about how they only have a test tank and so that is why it had issues at the lake. No, it the lower unit was in a tank, then start up and idle would have been the same, as we weren't talking about in gear idle. So I leave the boat with them once again, and this time they tell me it is the fuel pump. I am skeptical, but try to trust in the marine mechanic knowing a bit more than I do. Low and behold, they rebuild the fuel pump, only to tell me that didn't fix it, but for $800 more dollars they can rebuild the carbs and that 'should' do the trick. I think not. I would never take another boat to them, and wouldn't recommend anyone do either. They did try to discount the work for me, but after they didn't fix it the first time, I shouldn't have paid more for them to guess, especially when it was a great running engine. Besides telling me it ran like a top and it wouldn't start, geez. I have since talked to other boat owners and when I mention CM, they laugh and say never go there. If only I had known. So since then, I haven't had the cash to waste to go to another mechanic, so my boat sits, unable for me to use. Thanks CM, you are the best....not so much. I should add that I recently took off the cowel to begin looking at the rebuilding the carbs myself, and there were screws in the bottom cowling and other screws missing that weren't before, these guys don't put stuff back after they are done working on it. I can see after I refused to get the carbs rebuild them being pissed and just saying screw it, just throw it together real quick so the customer will come get it. read more

As far as I am concerned, this is the best place in town for your slalom ski boat needs. As the only Ski Natique Dealer in Arizona they have demonstrated they have a true heart for slalom skiers and wake boarders alike.. We have dealt with the owners for many years and have found them to be fair, knowledgeable and extra helpful. They are leaders in the Arizona Water skiing and wake boarding "scene". Century Marine has been the absolute worst dealership to work with! We would give them negative stars if we could. We've had problems after problems after we bought our boat BRAND NEW. I understand things happen and that's ok... but fix it. They do not return phone calls or emails, they refuse to fix things that should be under warranty and take no responsibility. When we ask them why they had our brand new boat in the shop for over a month, their response was well that's what you get for buying a boat. WHAT?! That's how you treat your customers? The boat was only a month old! We've also had to have a couple things fixed the next year because it should be under warranty and it wasn't until we contacted the corporate office they did the work. Now we have the same problem this year with a surf rack, that they should have fixed last year. First time out and it's still broken. We email and call, they tell us it's not under warranty. We email them back and still over 2 weeks later, no response. We've loved our boat but have had the worst experience with century marine. Proceed with caution!!! read more

Took our boat few years old, still new in for annual service. New impeller etc. They tell us mercury belt worn, paid and replaced. Gave us the old one. No! Wear at all. Then we get our boat back, take it to the lake all good it seems trim is going crazy numbers spinning. Take it back, they say its broke? Wasn't when we took it there. We paid 430.00 ordered new one. My husband gets it home same thing. Takes it back, it was never broken to begin with! get refund after two extra trips and our boat put in their dirty green tank. Got refund back. Trim still broken on our Dime! People there are Nice though, butI honestly I don't think the mechanic is trained on mercury race motors. Bottom line is they broke our boat! And its costing us to fix it. NO! I don't recommend this place. Normally i wouldn't say anything BUT come on. Very bad business guys. read more

Beware... Won't honor bill amount emailed repair cost then sent another repair cost and said " correction " your bill is 60 dollars cheaper than original amount in final email. Went to pay bill and said oh no that must have been a mistake and would not honor their final bill statement of 60 dollars less and would not even split the difference with me...... Owners son is lazy and can't think for himself , had to wait for him to put his shoes on to do original estimate and when I was telling him what I wanted done asked me the same question 6 times in a row not happy with their customer service at all don't waste your time read more

I have been dealing with century for 5 years and I will never go back to them again. I rebuild bots for a living and have spent over 20k of business from their. They do not stock some of the most common parts. I called in for a impeller and they did not have it. Then when I asked if I could get the part number he rudely responds " I don't give out part numbers, I don't do all the work and then you don't buy the part else where" I said well I would have bought the part of you had it but I need the boat for the weekend. I will never buy anything from these people again. The woman who we dealt with was about as rude as I have ever encountered as a customer. We have homes in AZ and WA, and arranged a boat purchase there, to be shipped to our home in WA. She was rude and dismissive in person to my family and I. Then when we arrived back in Seattle we went to use the boat only to find that the hull plug was not correct. While disappointed that our family had planned a day of boating only to find that the missing plug is not a common size, I called Century. No "sorry"...what I got was a rude laugh and, "They are only $3, but I can send you one if you really want". Yes, I spent almost $40k on a boat so that I could try to get over on you for $3..what a piece of work. What was more disturbing is that she had zero clue that they are a uncommon size, or that they are closer to $50. I assume she is a nepotism employee, because there is no way she would last in a position that she could be fired from. This organization will likely learn the cost of poor service. It's unfortunate because the salesperson I dealt with was great, hope he goes to work someplace that values customers so I can send him business. Steer clear of this place. read more

Recently, I had to use Century Marine's service department. Scott, Melanie, and Darian made the process amazingly easy. They were all very straight-forward, and focused on the customer service. Scott explained exactly what was wrong with the boat, and explained the repairs that were going to be completed. Melanie helped me with the process and scheduling. Darian helped me review the boat, and also helped me with the scheduling. All of them together were a great team to work with for the repairs. I would recommend Century to anyone. read more

I bought a used ski boat and asked theses guys to get it lake ready. $3500 later we took it to the lake with friends and family to test it out. the boat constantly died, had to use starting fluid every time and on top of that the boat overheated twice. it was embarassing. Made a review yesterday but for some reason I cannot edit it it was for Century Marine the place a was getting carburetor from cheaper is now out of business but with a little research I got a rebuild kit and rebuilt it myself for less than a hundred dollars and they wanted 270 . I would still only give them one star because of their poor customer service from the owner and his son , when i inspected the boat more thoroughly when I got home I noticed grease all over the back carpet area behind motor which was not there when taken in for service, I expect a lot more when my bill was 1200 dollars yes it is an old boat but for that amount of money a little more pride should be taken in your work read more

I give the service department only one star, the reason I put two stars is because the saleman and that part of Century Marine is great. We took our boat down there with a motor problem and my husband left a full report with the secretary, who writes down the report and gives it to the mechanic. Did not like this approach at all, you should be able to talk directly with mechanic who is working on your boat so you can have an open dialogue about the problem before you start troubleshooting. To make a long story short, they left the boat with the cover off out in a rain and dust storm, scratched up the inside and nicked the fiberglass, over-tightened screws that cracked the plastic, which we emailed them about and never heard a response. $800 and 3 weeks into it we took our boat back because they were confused about the problem and wanted an outrageous amount of money to fix what they thought may be the problem. read more
