Mark and team are extremely knowledgeable and great to work with. We had a leak in a doorway that caused mold and it got repaired properly and we can't thank them enough. They came in at a great value compared to other companies that we got quotes from so would definitely hire them again. read more

5 stars and well deserved. Mark was super responsive and quick to reply with a quote. I had a leak in the joints of my water pipe above the ceiling on the first floor which was discovered when a bulge formed on the ceiling and was starting to develop mold. After the drywall was removed and the leak was discovered, I requested quotes through Yelp. Mark was the first to respond. I sent him a picture of the leaky pipe joints and he knew exactly what needed to be done. His quote was reasonable for Bay Area prices. He came by that same night with another employee, went right to work, and did a very professional and efficient job. They left the area clean and tidy. Payment was also an easy online transaction. Fellow Yelpers, if you're not aware of industry prices for contract work, remember we are in the age of AI. If you're handy and can at least trouble shoot and are aware of the exact work that needs to be done, whether it's car mechanical issues, electrical or plumbing projects and repairs, ask Google for industry standard prices for that specific job. Google will give you a range in costs. Bear in mind that CA (especially the Bay Area), parts and labor for any contract work will always be on the higher end of the range since cost of living here is higher than other parts of the nation, but knowing is half the battle. You don't want to fall victim to price-gouging, or suckered into paying something completely unreasonable, so at least educate yourself on what the acceptable cost is for a specific repair in your area. read more

I had a plumbing emergency and a minute after requesting quotes Mark called me and had a guy out less than an hour later. He spent about 3 hours trying to clear the backed up plumbing and turned out to be a much bigger problem. A broken pipe under the grass from roots. Mark came out to help locate the problem found it and advised me of what needed to be done. No bullshit just honesty and super professional. He dealt with the owner of the property late at night to get the approval and had his guys out first thing the next day to dig up the pipe, replace it and just like that our toilets, showers, sinks and washer are all back in use. I can't thank Mark and his crew enough for all their help, hard work and professionalism. They even left our bathrooms clean and yard clean once completed. Great people great price great work. Highly recommend. read more

A smooth water softener installation experience. Mark was quick to provide a quote for installing a new water softener in our garage. He clearly explained what was needed, and his pricing was reasonable for the Bay Area. Showed up as scheduled, completed the installation professionally and efficiently, and made sure everything was working properly before they left. The installation was clean and well done, and they left the work area neat and tidy. Overall, it was a very smooth experience from getting the quote through completing the installation. I would definitely recommend these guys for plumbing and water softener installation work. read more

Mark and his crew at Century Home Service saved the day for me again. They've been my go-to guys for a few years now since my old house has what seems like a plumbing emergency at least once a year. They've been on the spot right away every time I call with a price that is always lower than I expected to pay. 6 stars! read more

Century Home Services (Licensed, Bonded, and Insured) has been incredible to work with. Mark and his team helped me with a full crawl space restoration and replaced old piping under the kitchen, as well as the shower and sink lines. The crew worked quickly, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. Mark is extremely knowledgeable and was flexible every time I asked for an adjustment or had a question. He's perceptive, practical, and always chooses the solution that makes the most sense for the home. It's rare to find a contractor who combines skill, honesty, and responsiveness the way he does. I am very grateful for their services. His team was amazing from start to finish. I've already referred Century Home Services to my coworkers, and they absolutely have my future business. Highly recommended for anyone needing crawl space, plumbing, or home repairs for the work done right!!! read more

These guys may be competent plumbers - I'll never find out - but they are awful communicators. I reached out via Yelp for a leaky bathroom faucet. The guy I spoke to quoted me a reasonable-sounding price for a faucet replacement, so I went ahead and booked for the next day. I told him that I'd ordered a faucet from Amazon to be delivered by 8 AM, so they should maybe come in the afternoon. He said "No problem, we won't get there until 9 or 9:30 AM anyway." Next day, 9:30 AM, I message asking for an ETA. The response is "oh, we were waiting for confirmation that the faucet was delivered." That's interesting, because they never said they needed confirmation, but fine - I'll give it to you now. At 11:30 AM, I get a text saying "I should be there within the hour." At 12:55, I respond asking for an ETA, and get told that they were waiting for confirmation AGAIN, and that because they didn't get it they cannot schedule me for today, with a long message about "driving all the way to the city." I understand wanting confirmation - it would be pretty annoying to travel for a job, only to be sent back because the customer isn't available. But I wasn't asked for confirmation once by either employee who spoke to me, and every other plumber I've ever hired has not required confirmation, either. More importantly, I don't appreciate being spoken to as if it's my fault that I didn't magically understand that they needed something that was never once requested. (And don't get me started about "all the way to the city" - if jobs in a given location are too inconvenient, don't bid for them.) A few minutes ago, I booked with a competitor who offers same-day service, confirmed my availability while I was on the phone with them, and said THEY will send ME a confirmation when they're en route. What a breath of fresh air! read more

Worked with Mark on a kitchen and bathroom reconstruction and him and his team were nothing short of amazing from start to finish. Super easy to communicate, insurance process was super quick, and the turn around time was like no other. read more

Mark was amazing both times we have worked with him! The first time we needed an emergency clear out of our storm lines because we didn't realize they were backed up with dirt and during the first rain of the year, our backyard near our foundation was a giant puddle. He got us on the schedule quickly, fixed the problem, and helped us understand a few things about our system that could resolve the issue in the future. The second time, there was a minor bathtub leak from one of the units in our triplex, and he was there with his team within 12 hours. They fixed part of the issue right away, and upon testing had the other part of the issue fixed within a few days. Working with Mark and his team has always been fast, easy, and pleasant. read more

Mark from Century Home Services did an awesome job. He was professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy. Highly recommend!

Mark was prompt in his communications. He gave me an honest no fuss initial quote for a simple toilet job. Scheduling with him was a breeze. He even called me proactively because my Yelp app didn't send me notifications. On the day of the appointment, Mark and Gregory showed up promptly. They first checked our sewage outside of the house to make sure the sewage pipe was working, they then went into the crawl space to check the pipes. Mark pointed out a few things to watch out for. He worked on the toilet and quickly found out the issue. We ended having to get a new toilet. Mark and Gregory even went to Home Depot to get a new toilet and installed it for me. The whole process was thorough and effective. He charged reasonably for the wonderful workmanship. 10 stars if I could help it. Will definitely hire again!! read more

I had a sewage pipe leak in the crawl space of my basement. Mark was one of four quotes that I got from some local plumbers. He was super friendly and explained exactly what needed to be done for the job. The other guys said they had to break through the bathroom wall and some even quoted me over twice what he quoted. As soon as I decided to go with Capri, I texted Mark and he responded right away. He was able to get me an appointment the very next day! Edwin was the technician and he was very fast and efficient. Anyway, I'm very happy with the job and glad to know that I have a reliable plumber for any future issues or projects. My toilet wouldn't flush since the handle was broken. Reached out to them around 3 PM and by 6 PM. Everything was already fixed. The day after New Year's, my stepmom had an issue with her pipes backing up. Couldn't use the restroom or wash dishes, as it affected multiple locations. I decided to take measures into my own hands to help her and my family get the house "right" again. It's rough when the holiday season hits and you need professional help, I hoped for the best. I used the Yelp feature to post my job listing to multiple companies, but Capri reached out to me first saying that they could come same day. We coordinated a time and the details with Mark and he drove up from San Jose to fix the situation. We were very pleased with the same day service, they were able to get the pipes cleared and everything back to normal. Very happy with the service that they provided, but Mark and his coworker were just really cool people overall. read more

I received a call back just minutes after submitting my request for services on yelp. After sending some photos of the cabinet between our iPhones a plan was made to come out. Mark arrived Sunday morning to remediate the mold situation and replace the affected parts. The job was done less than 24 hours since I had made first contact. That was quite a commitment to come out to Santa Cruz from San Jose. I'm hiring Mark and team to come back and complete some aesthetic upgrades to my kitchen next. A+++++! Also: Capri is willing to take modern payments such as Venmo and Zelle™. read more

Mark came on a Sunday to help us fix our water thumping noise issue. He's an expert at diagnosing problems. He narrowed down to the kitchen faucet that had a flexible hose inside that expanded and contracted when we turned on off the valve. We were referred to Mark by another property management company, and we truly can't express enough gratitude for that introduction. Adding Mark and his team to our vendor network has been an excellent decision. This past winter, during the heavy rains that flooded Northern California, we experienced an unusually high volume of emergency calls. Mark and his team went above and beyond every step of the way. Not a single repair was left pending or unattended. They worked tirelessly--day and night, one property at a time--always with a positive attitude and outstanding workmanship. Every job was done right the first time, with zero callbacks, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and attention to detail. Our team is beyond grateful to have found such a reliable small business that truly takes pride in their work and is always there when you need them most. We look forward to continuing to work with Mark and his team for many years to come. Highly recommend! read more
