Went to try Central Shore after seeing a review of their happy hour tapas on IG. Happy is from 3-6 Wednesday thru Sunday! The restaurant gives carribean vibes from the decor to the music! They also offer hookah. Service was a tad bit slow, but the waitress explained that since the Instagram review they have an influx of customers and are trying to get used to being more busy. The staff were nice, informative, and attentive. We tried the jerk chicken tacos, empanada, oxtail slider, the sweet chili wings, and the Cajun butter wings. Everything was great, but I would recommend asking for your wings fried hard! For drinks we had their "perfect crush" and green tea drink. Both were really good! The waitress did mention Saturdays they do live music from 6-10, and they will also be offering brunch soon! I would absolutely go back again! I had an AMAZING experience here! I came from NY for my friend's birthday. They were super accommodating as we changed our reservations for a party of 5 about 100 times, texting us and keeping us in the loop the entire way. The manager, Jessy, was so sweet!!!! She was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for my friend's birthday. On top of that, the food was DELISH, I had the lamb chops with asparagus -- solid 9/10. Lamb chops were flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender. My friend had the collard greens and rated them a 9/10 too. Two of my friends got the island mac, both of them rated it a 9. The last one got the blackened salmon and rated it 7/10. We rated the drinks 6/10 as well. They were really sweet about taking care of our cake for us, they didn't cut it for us but that wasn't a big deal at ALL! Never got the chance to get to the food. The hostess ignored me standing in her face for a solid 10 minutes. Then when I finally asked her was I standing in the right place for help, she acknowledged me and then proceeded to tell me my reservation was cancelled because I was 30 minutes late for an 11am hold. Since it was 2:11 I pulled up my phone and showed her my reservation was actually made for 2pm and I'm not late. She then proceeded to tell me I still didn't have a reservation because of the restaurant doesn't call to tell you they accept your reservation, you actually never have one. There are plenty of other options for good food within a mile and I promise you that you'll get right in. Don't waste your time or money going here for brunch. It's far too loud, the waitstaff can't prioritize enough to bring you a menu much less ask you what you want to eat or drink, and apparently if they don't call to tell you to come in or stay home... it's a guessing game. read more

Here comes the bad..we waited 20 minutes after being seated for someone to come take an order or even bring water, and that's after we had to ask for assistance. How the food come before the drinks? This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. First m, my husband and I had to wait for over an hour to be seated. Once we were seated, we were told that we could not place an order until 4 (it was 3::15) because the kitchen was switching over from brunch. All restaurants have to switch over from one meal to the next and I have never waited that long to place an order. There weren't enough menus to accommodate all of the customers, so we had to wait to get a drink menu. We eventually left before we could order. I will never go there again! read more

I've been coming here since last summer and Ive always enjoyed my time here with friends and roommates. The bartenders, owner and manager always give a warm greeting! The food, drinks, happy hours and hookah is amazing. DJs here are pretty awesome also. They have a nice patio with TVs and corn hole and an outdoor bar! Branch from the Central 111 in Virginia beach. If you come here, come early because it gets packed quick. With it being super busy, it was not hard to get service still. Staff was fast and very attentive throughout the busy night. Everything ran smooth, and the crowd is a good mix. Hookahs and drinks are fair priced.
