They've been at it since 1922....
From American classics to traditional European - I'm 99% sure they make it all. There is SO MUCH HERE. Pies, paczkis, cakes, cupcakes, ice box cookies, kolackys the size of my hand, Greek Ouzo cookies, Conchas, Warsaw logs, Napoleans - they have every country represented. And if your looking for bread or rolls - the selection is outstanding. Swedish Limpa, Challah, Houska, Dutch, Sourdough, Danish Rye, Russian Rye....and it goes on and on....
Every Wednesday is 20% off coffee cake day, and while I didn't end up leaving with one I can tell you these are MASSIVE (around $12 ea) - in every flavor you could imagine. I opted for two danish instead which happened to be 10% off: Cheese and cherry walnut combo. Best danish I ever had. Incredibly fresh. Tender and buttery. Cherry on one side & walnut paste with freshly chopped walnuts on the other. It was the best choice I made that day. Fillings are not skimpy.
I presumed Swedish Flops were too sweet for my taste, but after snagging a small piece from the enormous flop a friend purchased, I now understand the obsession. It was so fresh, creamy and simply put - scrumptious. Good thing it didn't stay in my kitchen.
I'm not big on cake donuts, but they looked so good I had to try one. A customer saw me eyeing them and said, "Their the best around"...well, that's all I needed to hear. I really wanted chocolate with chocolate frosting, but since they were out I settled for yellow cake instead. Not too dense which I liked. Yes, these are some good great quality donuts and they offer a variety...old fashioneds, Crullers, Yeast raised, long johns - you get the picture.
A case filled with deliriously happy cookies - literally. Smiley faces, Cubs - sorry, didn't see any Sox decorated ;P. Tarts, scones....you need to just come here and see & taste for yourself.
