They kept my car for 4 days. I rented a vehicle while they worked on my it. They gave the car back to me not 100% the problem was solved. I was charged about $800 pretty much for a tune up because all they did was replace the plugs and change a filter. 2 weeks later. Exact same problem with my Volvo. Brought it back, they still couldn't figure out the problem, after keeping it two more days...never even bothered to call me...I had to call them. So, $1200 later, because the rent-a-car from the previous time they had the car cost me about $400., the car is the same. Don't claim to be a specialist if you can't solve the problem in the first place.

The first experience was having the business do an oil change on the car that I did not ask for. When I addressed this initially the owner told me that I did ask for the service. However, he did not persist and told me there would be no charge. My recent experience was going in to ask for the AC drain to be cleared because it was clogged. They cleared the drain and called to tell me that my AC needed to be charged for $468. I was working and not thinking so I agreed. That was the mistake that I made. I had recently returned from a 14 hour trip in the car and the AC was working fine. Nice and cold. Since they charged the AC i no longer have AC in the car. I have addressed this with the owner. The first time he stated that I asked for the service and told him my AC was not working. That is why they did the AC charge. This was not true. I left the car to be worked on and the owner stated that they overcharged the AC and the condenser kept starting and stopping because of this. He removed freone and it calmed down. This week the condenser is not firing at all. I returned to the owner and told him of the problem. He said it would take 2 days to work on the car and figure it out. I asked for a refund and told him I did not want to do business with him anymore. He informed me that he could not process a refund. I told him I will be sure to post a review. He said he did not care because the neighborhood trusts him. This business is not honest. You will pay for service that is not needed and have new problems with your car.

From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. After arguing, they finally charged us $30, which was still not what we agreed on. They also tried to take our old battery without asking. This felt very dishonest and misleading. Drove to a gas station that didn't have an air pressure measure wound up pumping too much air in the wrong tire, I was a mess. Was driving around and saw this place had an air pump so pulled in. Sam and one of his mechanics saw me trying to let air out of my tire. They were like mam the air thing isn't on lol! I said I know! They were so kind. Took out their digital air pressure measure, just very kind. They didn't have to help me but did. They got the alarm off, tpm reset and didn't charge me for anything. I didn't know how else to say thank you other than to give him some fresh fries I had picked up at KFC across the street. Again thank you guys for being so helpful.
