Getting an appointment with Ribbit Heating/AC was particularly easy, with their dispatcher not only providing lots of opportunities for appointments, but also giving us follow-up calls on the day of, ensuring that we were home in time to meet the service techs. The two techs who arrived were both timely and courteous, swiftly diagnosing the issue with our A/C unit. They provided accurate pricing throughout the process and were done quickly. And right now? Our A/C is blowing cool and comfortable for the rest of the summer. No complaints whatsoever!

Kirkwood's guy arrived on time, was polite and courteous, used footies when inside. He proceeded to inspect the unit from a distance and reported to me where the leak was and how it was rusted out and recommended a complete new unit. When asked about repair, He said he could inject with a StopLeak type product and then fill with 8 lbs. new Freon, would cost $1200.00 +\- and no guarantee. Complete new Unit $7000.00 +/-. Next day called Brockman Heating & Air and they inspected the unit by getting inside of the outside compressor, they found 2 pinholes where the tubes had rubbed together, they removed my existing 3 lbs. of freon, brazed the pinholes, pressure checked the system to be sure they got all the leaks and refilled using my 3 lbs. and added 5 new lbs. of freon. Everything is like new again for a Grand Total of $494.00. So everything that Kirkwood reported was dead wrong, they only wanted to sell a new unit. They did make sure to call the next day for there service call money. 2 days later I opened up inside unit to clean the A-Coils and found large pipe cutters from original installation by Kirkwood. Guess they have never cared.

In 1986, Stuart Robinson came out on a cold January night. He got the emergency heat running until they could replace the unit. I have never had any issues or problems in the past. Recently, Jason came out for the annual Fall service. With his camera he located a crack (not a good thing in the heat exchanger) on the video. The initial reaction was to replace the furnace. So we had another bid and he inspected and he failed to find a crack in the heat exchanger. Obviously we were confused at this point. So we hired a third service company to evaluate the unit. Again they came back with a diagnosis of "no crack". I did not know what to do. Nate Robinson (Nate is a licensed Mechanical engineer. Not many service companies have such expertise.) volunteered to come out with the service technician and replace the heat exchanger. I was shown TWO cracks. I apologized immediately for casting doubt. TWO heat and air companies missed TWO cracks. Do not doubt Robinson Heat and Air. Call them You and your family and pets lives may depend on it. Robinson not only charged her a 95 dollar service fee, which okay I completely understand for coming out. Hooked up a new thermostat which are typically builders series junk, showed her that the heat was now working. Then told her it would be FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS TO INSTALL. The irony it was already installed, when she said that was outrageous he uninstalled it and left. No heat, in December for an elderly disabled member of the community who has spent who whole life doing incredible things locally for those in need. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever head and I've worked in the home improvement industry for 10 years. Middletown you have a choice of which small business you choose, Robinson heating and air does not care about their customers nor community.
