Blatantly dishonest. Don't leave your phone with Mel overnight. I made the same mistake and some of the original parts from my high end phone were replaced. Switched my pricey micro SD card with a fake one. His work has always been substandard and never delivered as to what I wanted him to do whether it's restoring files from an external hard drive and even some of the basic things like unlocking a phone. I once watched him dupe an old lady who came to his shop. I pitied the senior lady. All the lady needed was a charging cord for her device to charge properly and which he could have sold her for under $10 which he had in stock. But he made it sound like it was a big job--charged the lady $42 and asked her to come back in 2 days to pick up her phone. I now drive 26 miles to Long Beach to have my phones serviced. Never again shall I trust this guy. Avoid him at all cost. If you get duped by Mel don't tell me I didn't warn you. Believe me Mel is BLANTANTLY DISHONEST. read more

I dropped my cellphone and cracked the 'gorilla glass' screen. I found Mel at Cellphone Solutions just 5 minutes from home. He had to order the replacement glass so I had to wait a week. I took my phone back to Mel and after 3 hours, it was good as new. He also put a screen protector on it so, hopefully, if it gets dropped again, it won't crack. Unfortunately her upgrade was not yet available and the pre paid phone that I put the Sim Card in sucked ass.... I looked into a few repair shops and the standard quote was about $50 if it was water damaged plus an additional $20-$30 if it needed a new keyboard installed (so roughly around $80 for all you mathematicians out there ;-) Since I have kids up the yang and really no money, I stumbled across Cellphone Solutions while using google to look up local cell phone repair shops... LET ME TELL YOU... THIS WAS THE BEST FIND EVER... He charged a flat rate of $30 if it was water damaged, he indicated to me up front that it may or may not fix the problem. If it didn't fix it, it would more than likely be the keyboard which would carry an additional charge. The $30 was already $20 cheaper then everywhere else. 1 Day later, I called for a status and he told me that the keyboard would have to be replaced. Once he repaired it, my total bill was $35... ONLY $5 MORE FOR A KEYBOARD and almost $50 less than other repair shops... WOW-ZA ! I have never been happier, the phone works great and my wife is happy. Trust me, it pays to look around. My wife dropped her iPhone 5c two days ago and cracked the screen. Amazing Service, Speed, and Quality. My 2nd time here, this time for a cracked screen, other time was replacing a battery a couple of years ago. I have seen where you go to other places, and the parts used are often cheaper and can cause problems (batteries overheat, screen over heats, screen front paint peels, etc). I dropped my galaxy s4 and shattered the screen. My husband tried to fix it himself and ended up breaking the digitizer as well. I brought my phone here and got it fixed the next day. The phone works perfectly fine. I thought the cost was very reasonable as well. The digitizer set is approximately $140 on ebay (of course you have to fix it yourself if you order the part) and he charged $200. Considering the professionalism and the time it takes to fix the phone, I think extra $60 was nothing. Strongly recommend the place! read more

Was quoted a price of 50bucks to change out a broken charging port -Found that it was not the charging port at all, but it was actually a defective charger.... I visited this place twice just to repair my phone, and end up with repairing it in the other place. The first time I went there, they told me that my battery is wrong. But they don't have a new battery to replace it, And they told me to go the next day. The next day when I went there, they told me that they still don't have it, and that they will ordered one and asked me to come back three days later. In the end, I have to drive another 20mins to check with the other store. Luckily, they have all parts needed to repair my phone. And I got my phone repaired immediately. Reply to comments: First, I understand what happened. That is why I accept your explanation and just went away on Saturday. Second, the 2-star review is because I didn't get my phone repaired after 2 visits. I accept your explanation but I still gave 2 star just because I want to be fair. If I gave 5 stars, then it won't be fair to the store, in which actually helped me with my phone on my first visit and costed me $49 for the screen and $25 for the battery, which is only $4 more. This place is great! My ipad was seriously broken and i didn't want to take it to apple because they just give me a new one and after water damage broke my MacBook I would have lost everything. So I did some research and called a few places and decided on this one and I'm glad i did! I doubt anyone else would have been able to fix it. It had a broken display and charging port with frame damage it took about 10 days to fix because of some hiccups but he did everything to fix it! He went above and beyond!
