I decided to drive down to Washington Street, rather than call on the telephone. I talked with Jack on the phone, and he came right over to look at my phone. After examining the patient, he decided to download the iOS update again, and reboot my phone. After that I was able to access my iCloud, and restore the phone back to normal. Jack does amazing work, and if I could give this review 10-stars I would. IMHO, Jack is really the "IPhone/Macbook Whisperer" and does a truly professional job all the way.

BEWARE!!!!!! For…read moreanything but the most basic of compter repairs, I would steer clear of Northside Tech Support. I took my laptop to Northside because my laptop screen was flickering from time to time. Usually, I repair my computers myself but have been very busy with work and thought I would take it to "the professoinals" at Northside Tech Support so they could quickly make the necessary repairs and I could get back to work. Besides the flickering screen, my laptop had no other issues, was physically and mechanically in great shape and functioned near perfectly. Three weeks and a few days after I had dropped off my computer at Northside and many phone call later, I was told that a component of my computer "crumbled" as they took it apart and that I would be needing additional parts. This was cause for great concern but based on the reviews here on Yelp.com I had seen, I figured they guys must know what they are doing. Despite my growing concern, I decided I would continue to give them the chance to fix my computer. A week or so later, I received another phone call from them where they told me that they had to order some additional parts because their eBay parts supplier and they could not figure out which parts were the correct ones to fit my computer. eBay parts seller?? When asked, Northside told me they get all of their parts for their repairs from eBay, yikes!! Another week or ten days later, I called to inquire about the status of my repair. They told me they still had not figured it out. I asked that they put my machine back together and informed them that I would be picking it up and taking it to another repair facility. Kevin was very upset by this and told me that he "needed more time." I informed him that if he could not repair my computer in the just over four weeks he had it, he needed to give it back to me so I could have someone who knows what they are doing make the repairs. He exclaimed "you have not given me enough time!!" I could go on but after having tried to fix my computer for over a month, when I went to pick it up, my computer looked as if it had been dropped from a second story window. The outer case was cracked off and a "new" case with dents in it was my "new" cover (used part obtained form eBay), a key was broken off my keyboard and the keyboard itselft was no longer set into the computer, the computer would no longer turn on at all, and parts were and screws were missing. I had to look it over for a few minutes to try to ensure that it was even mine. I dropped of a good working computer with a flickering screen problem. Over four weeks later, I picked up a broken computer with missing parts that would no longer turn on or operate at all. I ended up having to purchase a new computer thanks to the fine handiwork of the "computer repair technicians" at Northside. They offered to pay me a nominal sum for the damage to my computer but what they gave me barely made a dent into what I had to spend for a new laptop. Like I said, if you need any type of computer repair besides the most basic of basic repair, steer far wide and exceedingly clear of this place as in my opinion and experience, they clearly do not know what they are doing.

I brought my desktop computer in on 12/30/22 to get it repaired because either the motherboard or power supply burned out. I brought the computer in, left it with them, and went about my day. I hadn't heard back from them by 1/4, so I gave them a call to see what the prognosis was. The staff confirmed that the mother board blew out so I asked them to have the tech who was repairing it call me so I could talk to them about the best option to replace the motherboard. The staff (the owner I think) said the tech would call me. Several days after with no call, I call in and the owner tells me the tech will call me back Monday. Monday comes and goes and over the next ten days I call about 6-7 times to speak to the tech who will always "be in later" or who is "on lunch." After about 15 days of no contact from the tech and never being able to get ahold of him, I asked them to reassemble my machine so I can pick it up later. I come in a week later and I'm charged $20 for them to return my computer. I end up paying $25 since he only wanted cash and I only had plastic on me. I would not recommend this place, it felt very unprofessional and a bit suspicious.

I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

No amount of troubleshooting gave me any idea of what happened. In my case fortunately my Sony TV model was specifically covered in a narrow extended warranty for a power board supply issue. After finally getting Sony to act on repairing the TV I was extremely concerned about what vendor they would use in order to repair my TV at home. I certainly did not want there to be any lingering problems or have the repair affect any of the features of my TV and I knew that the quality of the technician would be important. For once, Sony impressed me when they assigned the repair to TV Repair Xperts. from the beginning the company was very fast to reach out to me and explain the timeline on the repair. In addition, they were extremely flexible with respect to repair scheduling and were clearly skilled enough at what they do that they could fit many appointments into one day. My contact there was my new hero, Bill. I scheduled a late day appointment and Bill kept me updated on the day of my appointment as his day progressed. He was especially cordial and professional when he arrived. I had no idea the magnitude of the repair I needed and he was kind enough to explain it to me. He was also kind enough to offer me advice on a software update issue I had been having with this TV. Within just a few minutes, he had managed to reattach the jumble of cords and my beautiful 4K screen came back to life.
