It can tend to get pricey if you are doing entrees plus app, but it is a BYOB so you are saving there. Seriously consider doing the 5 mezzas (apps) for a meal for two. On a ski trip to Roundtop for the weekend, I was looking for a vegetarian-friendly restaurant for dinner, not far from the Wingate by Wyndham hotel in Mechanicsburg. It was really easy to get to Cedars and my bf and I both enjoyed it. We arrived a little earlier than our reservations and were seated anyway. The restaurant was cozy but also bustling with a good vibe - lots of people out enjoying their Saturday night, bottles of wine were flowing (Cedar's has a BYOB policy), and people at different tables seemed to know each other. The bf and I started with hummus for an appetizer, and I tried the soup of the day - lentil. For the main course my bf had the mix of three kebabs (he got lamb, shish, and kefta) while I had the vegetarian eggplant platter. The eggplant was extremely tender and all of the food was wonderfully spiced. It also came out quickly, which was nice, too. We didn't realize our meals both came with salads - could've done with out those, honestly, as they weren't that memorable compared to the rest of the food. The bellydancers started a little late (about 8:10pm instead of 7:30pm as advertised). Their dancing added nicely to the ambience but also created difficulty in moving around the restaurant, since the passageway from front to back is very narrow to begin with. Our waitress got stuck on the other end for about a half hour - luckily we were just sitting enjoying the performance at that point. All in all an entertaining and tasty Saturday night. I had high expectations for this place, but it just didn't live up. Our waitress, Pascale?, was absolutely delightful. Unfortunately the food and atmosphere did not deliver. Ordered a bunch of mezza and the lamb kabob. The tabbouleh was pretty much a big bowl of parsley and olive oil. Hardly any bulgar or tomatoes. No discernable mint. The pita was also pretty bad. Very dry, almost stale tasting. Pascale recommended the cauliflower mezza. It was one of the better things we ate, but nothing to write home about. Same for the pepper appetizer. The lamb was solidly OK, one of the better parts of the meal. The accompanying rice and vegetables were very mushy/overcooked and not seasoned at all. We went on a Saturday night, so there was belly dancing, which fun, but the music was far too loud with too much bass for such a small space. read more

Love this place. Servers are so friendly and polite and the food is authentic and fresh. We shared 5 for $27 appetizers and added mixed olives. Perfect outdoor patio for summer days. We ordered a bunch of small plates and shared everything--I'd recommend doing this so you can sample a lot of different flavors that the place has to offer. I came here for lunch and was pretty disappointed. The food selection is generally overpriced. The service is relatively slow and unresponsive. I did my empty glass of water test, it remained empty after consumption for thirty minutes when the food arrived. The server then didn't bother to ask if I needed more water. The food itself was definitely edible but the chicken that was dished out was not worth over $15! I couldn't help but notice that the server sat on her phone for an extended period of time instead of checking on whether my wife and I wanted the check or if indeed I needed a refill on my water. read more

Fast and easy to order take out. The meal was a reasonable price. The food was savory. We had the chicken gyro, side of rice, stuffed grape leaves and Kibbe Bi Saneeyah. It looks very clean and inviting inside with the possible décor representing that region of the world. I wouldn't say they were very friendly or welcoming, but accommodating and all business (which is fine for us as long as there is no attitude, which there was not.). The one problem I did see is that the staff back in the kitchen area (which is open to the public to view) were not wearing masks during this pandemic! The gentleman filling our order did have a mask however. Unfortunately, upon bringing the food home, we had to microwave it a little (hoping this would help kill any possible contaminants if there were any). I am sure this changed the taste of the food somewhat too, especially since it was nice a fresh when we got it. With that in mind it would have been more enjoyable had we not needed to do that. Pros: Not too many options for Lebanese (or Middle Eastern in general) cuisine on the West Shore, so this place has dominated that niche in the area. This is the go-to place for this style of food. Go for the mezza dishes...you can get a good variety of Lebanese staples and make it your meal, almost no need to get an entree, although they are worth trying, as well. Lebanese cheese is great. On Friday nights you can catch the belly dancing, which just adds to the excitement of the place. The place is BYOB, which is also a plus. Get a good, hearty, dry red...it'll go well with most every dish here. Cons: The place is really small, and since it is so popular, seating can be cramped. If you are someone that needs to spread out and have your space, then you may not have as pleasurable an experience. Table space can get cramped as well, especially if you are in a group. read more

This is the first time I've had Lebanese food. I was not disappointed, what an array of flavors! My brother had the chicken, my nephew had the shrimp, and I had the lamb. All the meats were cooked brilliantly with plenty of flavor. Service was fantastic, our waitress was bubbly and helpful. The only downside is the place is a bit small, not counting the outside tables. I have a feeling this place tends to fill up quick. We were told a large party was coming in and we could be seated if we didn't stay longer than an hour and a half, which was plenty of time for us. But reading the other reviews, this seems to be a regular occurrence. Try to go earlier in the evening, like 5-6pm, and you should be fine. read more

We chose a dish with spicy beef, hummus ground beef, artichokes, spinach samosa style, and fried cauliflower. My favorite was spicy beef, fried cauliflower, and the spinach dish. The employees were nice and friendly. I likes their sitting templates and the outside sitting area. They also have belly dancing on Friday and Saturday night-Great authentic entertainment! I've gone to Cedars maybe twenty or thirty times over five or more years. I realized that I needed to add a review to this fantastic place. The people waiting on us have always been very friendly. We generally go early, but we call for reservations if we're planning on going at a busy time (especially Saturday nights when they have belly dancing). I do not consider it expensive. Prices seem on par or better than similar restaurants. If you order lots of appetizers, it could raise the bill, but when we do that we bring a lot of it home. If you're not sure what to order, I'd recommend (for appetizers) the shrimp/crab bisque, baba ghanouj (my favorite), shankleesh, hummous, ful medames. The lamb chop, shish tawook, and the shish kabab are excellent entrees. For lunch, the wraps are great. I've always been happy with my visits here. read more
