Tamu is excellent! Dined in for the first time today. The food was delicious! We got the gobi Manchurian (fried breaded cauliflower), banarsi chaat (potato onion), and chicken korma (creamy yogurt cashew sauce). The complimentary crispy veggie appetizer was very good -- crispy with good sauces. We loved the banarsi chaat--it had aloo bhujia crisps on top and two floofy potatoes with light chickpeas. Usually my family does take out from this place but since I am visiting from out of town we decided to go in person. So happy we did. Chef Rakesh is fabulous. His flavors are all unique and stand alone making each dish a unique flavor experience. This is our go to restaurant in the area for this type of cuisine. read more

A hidden gem! Got takeout from here when visiting the family in PA. As a NYC resident, I never expect Harrisburg food to satisfy me but was pleasantly surprised! There are many choices around the area, even on Linglestown rd for Nepalese/indian food so we were anxious to try the new restaurant. We ordered takeout for our first visit and found everything to be good, but not great. We tried the chicken momo to start, which was ok. Our entrees were the vegetable Biryani, which was goodThe other orders we tried were the Butter Chicken and the chicken Tikka Masala. The Naan was very good and flavorful. While the dishes were ok to good, the amount of spiciness overwhelmed the flavors. I like spicy food, but there needs to be a balance. I know other places you can choose your spice level, but this was not an option. I hope they do well, but I'm not sure we will return. read more

Wanted to try this new spot off of Linglestown Rd. ordered the Tom Yum chicken soup and was very disappointed in the amount of vegetables and chicken ( maybe a tablespoon of ground chicken in a whole quart) , I should have went by the description on the menu "Broth" and basically that is what you got, mostly broth. This same dish from Golden Chopsticks further west on Linglestown Rd. is full of chicken and vegetables. We also ordered the vegetable MoMo's and they were wimpy thin-skinned dumplings that stuck to each other so that they fell apart when you try to eat them individually. Himalayan Fusion, located further East on Linglestown Rd. makes hardy fresh MoMo's that are soooo much better. read more

What a delightful treat! When we opened the door of the restaurant, we found the most delicious aromas surrounding us. We were immediately greeted by Shelkhar, a warm and friendly young man. He brought us complimentary spinach pakoras. It was delectably good tasting. We requested paneer tikka with extra vegetables, chili gobhi, and crispy garlic nan. Checked out this new restaurant that was just down the road from me . Initial impression when you walk in is that the bright blue painted walls and outdoor chairs and tables used for the dining room. Got a sat and was given the menu. Menu was a good size not too overwhelming, most of the items were priced fair. Staff was not very helpful on recommendations and seemed to be unsure of some dishes. Food itself was pretty good ide say top 5 in the area. I ordered the gohan fish curry , tikka chicken masala as mains and started with the lollipop chicken drumsticks and kebab . Bathrooms were clean and brand new ! I was given a free fried veggie dish which was tasty but batter was a little thick making it taste mostly of batter no flavor of the vegetables. In the sea of all the nepalese/indian food in the area this place stands out.the food is more elevated in taste and appearance. Beautiful plating, nice atmosphere, lots of parking. The chef/owner came out with some specialty apps on the house and delicious flan for dessert. The saffron kabobs were lightly seasoned to perfection with a drizzle of some delicious sauce. Highly recommend this place for the food, elegant plating, clean atmosphere and prices on point. read more

After reading the recent write-up in PennLive, my wife and I decided to check out this new restaurant -- and judging by the steady stream of both dine-in and takeout customers, we weren't the only ones! While it took a little while for our food to arrive, it was absolutely worth the wait. The flavors were wonderful, the ingredients were super fresh, and the dishes had just the right amount of spice to let the flavors shine without overwhelming the palate. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we had a great time chatting and catching up while waiting for our meal. As vegetarians eating out, we were thrilled with the number of options available. We started with the chili cauliflower and the banarsi chaat -- both firsts for us -- and they were absolutely delicious. For our mains, we ordered the Chana Masala and Dhaba Dal Tadka, along with some naan. Every bite was a treat. The restaurant itself is a typical take out atmosphere but has plenty of seating and clean. The staff were very friendly. We ordered several things for take out. Everything was delicious but I especially loved the Kurani chicken. It was super tender and the sauce was so creamy and flavorful. I also loved the Jhol MOMO. It was dumpling like with the tastiest veggies inside. They did a great job of adjusting the spice levels on all the dishes. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes! read more
