Delicious and generously sized Greek food at a great price! Plenty of parking available, and Cedar Tree definitely packs an authentic punch in terms of variety and flavor. Beef gyro was tender, packed and yummy! Chicken skewer platter was well seasoned, and the Greek salad had a great crunch. Tzizitaki was creamy and well balanced. Everything was fresh and warm. Restaurant seating was small, and it's casual inside, but on a Friday night it was full. I would definitely recommend stopping by or ordering take out.

A lovely local Mediterranean hidden gem! Our company orders from here very frequently as of late because of the following values: 1. Delicious food 2. Reasonable price 3. Free & Quick Delivery and 4. Good quantity I tried their beef gyro which was packed with large slabs of gyro meat that was well-seasoned and loaded with their delectable, perfectly fried French fries. My wife loved her grilled shrimp souvlaki, and a colleague enjoyed the grilled chicken wrap which was actually pressed and had good quantity. I've also tried their Sparta pita which comes with a kick of chipotle sauce and their fries are seriously great. If delivery, we of course tip generously on top because they deserve it with their reasonably speedy delivery performance. Support local. Eat here- you will not be disappointed!

This is our Small goto take out Mediterranean restaurant. Simple and delicious gyros never disappoint. Delivery is always quick. If your looking to try something unique try the beet felafel appetizer.

Another great meal! Food (4.8), Service (4.8), Ambiance (4.0) When the owner puts her love and care into her business it comes across loud and clear. Congratulations on your expanding business! Octopus app is great as is the Greek Chicken Quesadilla. Keep up the great work!

Full disclosure: this was DoorDash delivery, but a delivery for three people arrived fast and hot. I got the chicken souvlaki and so did my coworker, but we ordered different sides. He had rice and I had potatoes and pickled vegetables. It also came with a split pea soup. We both enjoyed our dishes! We also got falafel, which was a hit. I had the supreme salad as well, which was fantastic! A fresh salad with crispy lettuce hearts, red onion, corn, peppers, feta, avocado, potatoes, and greek dressing. It was super fresh! This place has a huge menu, which usually makes me leery, but our experience was good enough that I won't hold it against them! They have a ton of hummus dishes, zucchini and eggplant dishes, multiple meat skewers, pita sandwiches, and more. Definitely recommend, and wouldn't mind dining in-house.

Valet parking is available. Our waitress, Laura, provided great detail behind the menu and offered suggestions since she knew it was our first time visiting. Our group ordered five appetizers, and they each delivered in taste and presentation. We enjoyed all of them: 1. Colossal Shrimp 2. Grilled octopus 3. Homemade pita with creamy feta 4. Saganaki 5. Mykos Chips with Tzatziki For dinner, many of us enjoyed the moussaka. Other stand out entrees included the halibut and grilled chicken. Highly recommend a side of the lemon potatoes. Dessert also delivered! We loved the apple pie and pistachio martinis. With lively music and dancing, Mykos provides a fun night out for any celebration. I'm excited to return again!

Not being an expert at Eastern Med food, I can't speak for it's authenticity, but my wife Masuka and beet salad were awesome, and I enjoyed my 2 appi's (Fluke and Octopus) and my roasted chicken was very flavorful. These are unique tastes, and well prepared and presented. My only hesitation regarding the 5-stars is the price -- which seems a bit much.

Like a lot of these spots, the tables are very close to each other so don't expect privacy especially if you're just two people. They have a decent menu with pita sandwiches, salads, appetizers, souvlaki platters, seafood and a kids menu, as well as specials. We enjoyed the falafel pita ($12.75, not dry and soft pita, hummus sauce but no tzaziki) and the shrimp platter ($25, on a bed of pita bread, fries [similar to diner fries] and a small side of pilaf rice for $4.5). It would have been nice if both entrees came with a side salad (or something) to complete the meal. I had my eye on the moussaka but there was no vegetarian version and they didn't have a spanakopita platter either. Also no complimentary pita, tapenade or chips, unlike some other Greek places. Since they seem to be pretty busy, service is fine and tries to keep it moving. Some people entered and had to wait for a table but staff didn't seem to rush anyone who was languishing a bit out. There was a steady stream of customers and takeout orders which likely speaks to a consistent experience. Their to-go bags were actually blue reusable bags, which I thought was a nice touch. Bring cash because credit card orders tack on almost 4% to the bill. The location isn't the best atmosphere wise (shopping plaza near Shop Rite and next to a Jersey Mike's) - small but not intimate - but on the plus side, parking is easy. If you miss the turn and go into Shop Rite, you can still get to the restaurant without going back on the main street.

All the spreads were fine - nothing special about it. It comes with some pita bread for dipping. Next, we had some grilled halloumi -Avgolemono Soup - comforting on a cloudy day. Even my toddler enjoyed it and she doesn't usually like meat but ate a few chunks of the chicken -Grilled Halloumi (with fig jam) - this was a little oily and very salty. I did like the fig jam with it but $17.95 for a chunk of cheese is pretty pricey -Gyro Combo Platter (pork, chicken, and lamb gyro served with fries, pita, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki) - I missed where the menu said it's served with tzatziki because then I probably wouldn't have ordered the assortment of spreads. The pork was chewy, and the chicken was dry, but the lamb was good. They did have a nice flavor though. Again, my daughter who doesn't like meat even ate some of the chicken and the lamb. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, especially since there were really only two things we really liked. But if you do visit, I'd recommend just getting the lamb gyro. Tip - BYOB

Whether it's a roast turkey with endless sides, spicy meat stew, a seafood extravaganza, or even no-frills Kentucky Fried Chicken, there's no holding back when the season for feasting rolls around. Located on busy Broadway in Elmwood Park, we decided on our Christmas Eve dinner at this family-owned establishment. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the owner at Taverna Mykonos and got a table for two right away in the corner where the tables are close to each other inside their cozy, very dim-lit, and elegant dining room with Christmas music playing throughout. There's a full bar with an extensive selection of Greek wines, with approximately 80% sourced from regions across Greece, as well as other excellent choices from California and Spain. The menu featured both authentic traditional Greek dishes along with many other options. The restaurant bakes all of its bread as well as its desserts. Traditionally, the meat of choice served during a Greek Christmas meal is lamb and pork. For starters, we decided to share Keftedes (Greek-style seasoned meatballs served with tzatziki dipping sauce). For our main meal, we opted for Baby Roasted Lamb with roasted potatoes and Lamb Shank with tomato orzo. Complimentary bread started our meal, and we washed it down with a sparkling spring water product of Greece. Complimentary cookies were given to each table at the end of the meal. The food was fresh, using quality ingredients, tasty, and well-presented. We enjoyed the keftedes very much, as they were moist and complemented well with the tzatziki dipping sauce. The portion was reasonable. However, we were disappointed with the Baby Roasted Lamb, as it was mostly bones with only some pieces of edible meat. Service is professional, friendly, and fast. The cost is comparable to the area. Exchanged a few words with the owner, George, about the old neighborhood in Astoria. Opa!
