Terrible and frightening experience with these people. Went to get my car, they had upped the price 3 times. Before i signed i politely asked to write down every amount i was being charged for. That set the guy off and ended up shoving me grabbed my phone and set it outside the building on the floor because i started recording. Dont ever use this towing company.!!! We were in a tandem parking spot and my husband's car battery died. We needed a jump start. On my fourth phone call to local towing companies they either were not interested in helping or didn't answer. Cedar answered and was willing to respond immediately. I also called two auto parts stores and they wouldn't guarantee that they would replace the battery. Cedar towing stepped up at 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning and said he would jump start the car and replace the battery for us for a fair competitive price. My vehicle was having transmission issues and ended up broken down on base. My warranty company set up the towing service and I was put in contact with this company. Nick gave me a call when he was 20 minutes out from the base and then delivered service with a friendly demeanor. He also took the time to ensure that the location we were planning on heading to was the same on my gps before departing with my vehicle. Thanks a lot! read more

Tried calling to get a quote and got hung up on after being saying I'm going to look around, and they gave me a call back saying well let me know what you find, and we can work with you. So I called back again and gave them the price I was given and was told sorry can't work with you and then was rudely hung up on again. I won't ever be using, nor recommending this service to anyone. read more

Cedar Towing was such a huge help today. My car needed to get towed to the dealership and usually you need to be there when they tow to give your keys, but I told them I was at work so they came directly to me and picked up the keys within 30 mins! The car got to the dealership within an hour after that. Very efficient, no issues. Not to mention, the best price I could find. Thank you! read more

My car broke down some weeks ago and the service I got was second to none. The first guy to show up actually wasn't cleared to drive me due to the distance to my house, but nonetheless he stayed and kept me company for a bit and was super cool dude. Sorry I cant remember his name. Now to Dave. This guy literally turned my day from shitty to the best of my week. After having to wait on me for a few minutes, he got us saddled up and headed out. He ended up being a huge Rory Gallagher fan and probably the best tow experience I've had. I was actually bummed when the ride ended. My car was dropped off there Saturday night by AAA towing service for a following morning delivery. I called Cedar Towing and asked the specific question " Will I be charged a storage fee since it was a AAA drop off for recovery the following morning?" The Cedar dispatcher told me "No, there is only a fee after 48 hours". I said I was in the area and could pick it up immediately if there was. The dispatcher re-assured me that no fee would be charged. The following morning, I was charged 90.00.I reluctantly paid them as my daughter needed her car. i spoke with Chan the owner and and would not budge off the 90.00. his own employee said I would not be charged I 'm filing a complaint with AAA about the shifty practices of their crooked vendors. Avoid this company at all costs. They are thieves, liars and crooks., AAA should be ashamed of the company they keep. read more

I've never used their service before, but I'm sure their very helpful. My complaint is that today while on my way home from work, along Faraday in Carlsbad, one of the employees of this company was playing with his phone while driving next to me down the road. Not very safe. He was having trouble staying in his lane. Not a good look for a AAA contracted roadside assistance provider to be engaging in such dangerous activity, when AAA prides themselves on their road safety initiatives. I could have taken a picture to prove my point, but since I was driving as well, that wouldn't be very safe, would it? read more

TOM of Cedar Towing jumped started my car through AAA. He responded within 15 minutes. he was polite, competent, and most professional. He got car started right away showed me state of battery and alternator performance. His truck and his person were clean and reflected well on your organization. When having car troubles, its never fun to wait for a tow when stranded. I originally called my roadside assistance insurance and had another tow company (roadway) Enroute. They provided an ETA of 60 minutes, and 2 hours later call to tell me its going to be an unknown time till they can arrive. AWFUL! I called AAA and requested a new tow company. Cedar tow was selected and they showed up in under 20 minutes. Friendly tow driver. Clean Rig. Can't ask for much more. Great service! read more

Gregg saved the day! I dispatched a tow through AAA, my car wouldn't start and jumping it wouldn't work. Gregg arrived to tow my car to an auto shop and asked me what was wrong. I explained and he asked to hear the car. I tried starting it and he encouraged me to hit the gas and rev it, the car started! He looked under the hood and discovered that my negative battery terminal was extremely loose. He tightened it, checked my battery's charge level and literally saved my day. He went above and beyond AND refused any gratuity. I am impressed with his service level, thank you Cedar Towing!!! read more

Cedar Towing and Tommy was a saint! My wife's car was dead at a store with our two kids. I came from work to try and jump the dead car. Unfortunately it did not work, I called Pep boys who uses Cedar Towing to bring in cars. Tommy arrived, was very friendly, helpful and waiting patiently to get the car set up to tow. We arrived at pep and Tommy waited again while I was in the service station to make sure I was situated before he took off. Pep Boys said they couldn't help because it was a computer issue - however Tommy suggested we try and change the battery because it may be gone even though we tried to jump it. I was calling Ford dealers who were quoting 3-4 day wait times. I went inside based off what Tommy said and bought a new battery. He installed it for me in less than 10min and charged a flat rate (compared to dealer and pep boys I saved tremendous amount of $). Tommy was amazing, professional and courteous - extremely helpful. These guys were shady. They sold me a battery that I didn't need. The tech who came out and ran the diagnostic test on the battery told me I needed a new batttery. I bought a new battery on the spot and then had the old battery tested later that day because the old battery was less than two years old and should have been under warranty. The old battery came back as good. Not impressed with the service or integrity. read more

Having to call a tow truck for any reason is not something any of us look forward to doing. I locked my keys in the car and discovered it as I was walking in to Church. Figured I'd just attend service and call afterwords. I dreaded the wait and how much time this was going to take. To my surprise it was a great experience. I called, the tow truck showed up within ten minutes, Adam, the driver, was very professional, friendly and efficient. He had me in the car and ready to go within 5 minutes. Greg at Cedar Towing came to the rescue with my dead battery. The weird thing was I just got a new battery from another towing company in Carlsbad 4 days prior, & today my car wouldn't start. AAA sent Cedar towing this time & Greg discovered the other guy didn't even attach the battery into the car so something came loose! Then he got out his battery testing machine & spent time figuring out if there were any other problems, which the other guy didn't bother doing. They were fast & reliable & very professional. I give Cedar Towing a ---5 stars. The worst experience i have ever had. I had a simple flat tire and through Triple AAA i requested roadside assistance. I made it to my office then made the call. They changed tire everything good....so i thot. Went to get new tire and Cedar Towing cross stripped every lug nut so bad. Spare couldnt be removed and one of the lugs broke off in the process. Afraid to drive on 4 lug nuts i took straight to repair place to tune of $528 for the damage done. Cedar refuses to pay entire bill. So im not only out $158 for the difference, im also out another $113 for having to UBER back and forth to work. They are the worst. I couldnt even get a call from owner to discuss. And yes......im still waiting for the check they said was in the mail. The only reason i hit a 1 one the rating is because i couldnt post if i didnt rate them. A BIG FAT NEGATIVE 000000 read more

I had to get my car towed from the Safari Park and I was a wreck trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. Caesar came to my rescue and kept me calm and talked to me the entire time he was loading my car up, on the drive to Pep Boys and after he unloaded my car. He was so friendly and did such an awesome job!! All the other times I needed to be towed it took forever but he managed to get the job done without wasting time. My battery died and had to call AAA yesterday. Gilbert, of Cedar Towing was dispatched and was at my place in minutes! He even beat the GPS tracker that monitored his location. He assessed the situation, and brought me a new battery, courtesy of AAA, since it was still under warranty. After a quick change-out, I was ready to continue my day. Quick, painless, professional. This was the worse towing experience I've ever had. The tow truck driver turned a 2 hour to into a five hour trip. I love in Moreno Valley and work in Oceanside, so I take the 76 to the 15 and he took us the 5 Ortega Hwy just to turn around and double back to the 76. He had no idea what's he was going he drove very reckless with my truck on the flatbead thought my truck was going to roll off. When I complained to the owner he said if was my fault. I had to get two batteries for my truck. The tech came out (Mark) within 30 minutes and was really nice. He tested both batteries and then ordered the batteries I needed delivered to him. Even though he didn't have the batteries on hand, they arrived within another 30 minutes or so and he installed them quickly. About an hour after the tech left, I received a phone message from Cedar Towing saying I was overcharged by about $75 and they let me know my new total for my credit card. (I think the overcharge was a simple mistake - I didn't get the impression it was anything intentional.) They could have let it go and I would have never know the difference about the price but it sure says a lot about Cedar's customer service when they are up front about mistakes like this. I just have a complaint because I know if I call for sure it will be a wtvr but one of their drivers who was driving a Ford Ranger truck with Cedar Towing on it needs to be more cautious while driving and not act like he owns the road. There was road work on a one lane rd on S. Santa Fe going South who saw there was road work and was way behind me and then speeds making me hit the end of the merging lane to share the lane. Thank God I stopped having my two babies in the car we would've crashed. Then not even a second after he cuts off the two cars infront of me getting into the opposite lane just because one was driving slow. After that seeing the opposite traffic turning right he crosses the line trying to get into their traffic. I understand he must have been in a hurry but that's not the way to do it by trying to cause accidents in a company car. Proves they shouldn't be driving in a road rage manner. Got so upset especially since the car I was driving was a rental and I had my babies in it when we normally drive a truck and we were driving a car that would've had major damage thanks to careless drivers. Wished I had caught the truck number to make it more direct and hopefully he has a valid license also. read more
