When I told him where my car was, he immediately knew the lay if the land and asked if it was on a hill or not. This is the type of experience and local knowledge that is important. He was visiting us when we got a call from her father who was put in the hospital back in Alabama and our son had to fly back and help him, and would return back for car as soon as he could. We left his car at the hospital parking lot where she notified security and hospital authority it was there. We just found out the car was towed by western towing in Oceanside. They don't have any information online to help find the car by vin or tag. None of the state resources pulled it up, no one from the hospital could tell us anything so that tells me that they violated California wrongful towing laws, primarily under Vehicle Code § 22658, forbid towing from private property without express written authorization from the property owner/agent, who must be present. I finally found the car after searching online for days, because I remembered I put a AirTag in it because it was his car. I believe they wrongfully removed the car because we had the hospital permission to park it there. Will be picking it up today 4/6/2026, asking for authorization form for towing and speaking to the lawyer this afternoon as well as filing bbb complaint.

ALWAYS pay with a credit card and then initiate a chargeback with your credit card company to get your money back. This will also cause the tow company to get charged a fee for the claw back and your credit card company will always side with their customer. Dont pay with cash or debit.
