Darwin one of NK Towing's Technicians drove over to the Chevron Gas Station where my car was located and he assisted me because I was locked out of my car on Friday night. Darwin was very personable, knowledgeable and experienced in being able to retrieve my car keys for me within a 15 minutes time frame. I received fast service during this Lock Out Service from Darwin that was provided to me by my Triple AAA Membership. I am going on my 5th year now because I renewed my Triple AAA Membership in April, 2024. Triple AAA is a great company and Triple AAA was recommended to me by my former mechanic and the owner of Niko's Automotive Shop. Niko has given me excellent advice about signing up with this Triple AAA Membership Organization because he really cares about my welfare. read more

So my son, who is 19 years old and autistic, was visiting my husband and I here in Long Beach from Chula Vista. He called me saying his tire had popped and he was scared because he didn't know what to do. Luckily I found this towing company and gave them a call late at night. They answered pretty quickly and said they'd take care of everything and I shouldn't be worried. Fast forward maybe twenty minutes or so and my son calls me to let me know they had arrived. Due to his autism, he has a hard time socializing so I was a bit anxious as to how he would react with the tow truck employees. This is where this employee comes into the story. Once the vehicle was towed to a tire shop, my son was told he could wait at the shop or hang around with the towing employee if he felt nervous/scared of being alone at the tire shop. My son agreed to hang out. The employee asked my son what his favorite thing to do was and my son being my son, told him he loved jacuzzis as it's a stimulate for him. The employee then took my son to his own personal home and let my son use his jacuzzi while he waited for his car to be ready. The employee even went out of his way and joined my son in the jacuzzi. A few hours later and the car was ready. After the jacuzzi and a nice dinner, my son was taken to the shop and he was back on his way to come see his dad and I! In all my years of living, I don't think I have ever seen anyone go this far for a customer. I couldn't be more thankful for this angel of an employee from NK Towing. Thank you so much young man! May god bless you. read more

They have a contract with AAA. But they don't provide assistance to their customers. I've called for service and they always send these people. The girl that answers the phone is RUDE & Unprofessional I requested that AAA remove them from service. ASAP. I'll keep pushing to have them always send another company. read more

I called AAA roadside assistance to have my 2008 Pontiac Solctice towed to my mechanic. While towing on a flat bed tow truck the hood to my car flipped open damaging the hood and front fender. The hood opens up the opposite way from most cars so I asked him to tow it from the front. He assured me it would be ok to tow it from the back . The hood was latched down tight .All of the hydrolic cylinders and braces were broken and damaged. . I called NK towing that day to file a claim. I also called AAA to report the damage. I was told by NK that I would hear from the manager the next week. This happened on Oct 14th and I have not heard from them at all. My car is not drivable and I have had to make arrangements to get to work. I would not recommend this company for your towing business. read more

Recently requested a tow through AAA and NK Towing was coming again. I had a pleasant first experience with them but this time it was different. The lady who called me was rude and disrespectful. She sounds so miserable with her life, I hope she gets help. Dispatcher and driver were rude. I filled out the AAA survey, hopefully they can have an intervention or training session with that woman! read more

Shout out to Rafael, one of the drivers who we had the pleasure of meeting. My husband and I were stuck in Oceanside and had to be towed to Temecula. He took great care while placing my car on the trailer, making sure everything was secure before we left. Rafael drove very safely and was able to have a great conversation for the entire ride. Once we got to our destination, he again, carefully got my car off of the trailer and was very professional throughout the transaction. read more

NK towing was a Christmas miracle! NK towing was able to immediately send Rod to my home to move a vehicle for me. Everyone wanted to charge me several hundred dollars. Not NK towing. I will always call NK towing and recommend them to everyone I know. I did my homework and they were the best service and the best price!!! read more

AAA has sent this company to help me with my vehicle now three times, and each experience has been better than the last. I rarely ever drop names into my reviews, but my technician today made such an amazing impression on me. Not to mention he gave me a card with his name on it so I feel entitled to use it~ Besides being kind, patient, and accountable, Gunnar was sweet to boot. And how often can you say that about a tow truck driver?! (I worked at a tow yard dispatching trucks for a police impound in LA, so I can tell you first hand, not often haha). The latches on both my doors broke (I'm fibbing, I actually broke one myself while playing with it to see how it moved), and I roped the doors together from the inside so they'd stay closed. Gunnar was easy-going enough to get in my car my preferred way: through the trunk! He was very responsible; he gave me a time frame of events and everything went as planned. Also, he is the first driver to send me photos of my vehicle at its destination- that was so awesome! Overall, while I never look forward to having car issues, I am thankful and will not hesitate to use this company again. Gunnar helped ease my stress in a difficult (actually kinda hilarious) situation. read more

So my registered vehicle (BMW) started having troubles on 5/28/2023. On 5/31/2023 my sister (Who drives the car) called AAA because we are AAA members. We needed to get the car towed to the local BMW dealer and AAA send NK Towing. I was not present when the tow truck driver arrived at my house, but my sister was. Long story short, I meet my sister at the dealer and while she checking the car in, we see the tow truck pull into the lot. The service member asked if I could let the tow truck driver know to park and lower the car in a specific area. So I run out and wave the driver down. When the driver opens his door he doesn't say anything to me and I tell him that the service member said he can drop the car "right in front between A&B in that red zone." This is where the horrible customer service began. The driver looks at me all sour and frowned face and sticks his right arm out with his index finger pointed out and said " you could've just pointed where you wanted me to park." But the tone in which he said it was very condescending and rude. So then I tell him "You don't have to be rude, and try to enjoy your job. I was only delivering a message." The driver said "I don't know who you are I've never seen you before. Are you my customer or an employee. And I do enjoy my job." And I respond "It doesn't seem like it," and I walk away. So... he did have a point... He and I never met before BUT I wasn't asking him to give me the keys to car, grant me access to the car, or to release the car to me. I was just delivering a simple unaggressive message. The value that the driver has on his customers isn't that great. I work customer service and know that you speak to EVERYONE in a polite and approachable tone and manner. We represent a company, and he did not represent NK Towing in a positive light. So if you want NK to tow your vehicle they will, but the drivers might not be the friendliest or most professional individuals. And I didn't get the name of the tow truck driver. Sorry! But if I knew his name I would have posted it. This gentleman, I don't know if he was having a bad day, but should attend a customer service oriented training or seminar. We can all learn something, and what I learned is that I could have introduced myself to the driver before I delivered the message. Maybe that would have helped. But I'm not excusing the drivers unprofessional and rude demeanor. read more

When I say a tow experience should be an easy going experience, it's because i havent met Daniel from NK towing. This gentleman was just that, a gentleman and very knowledgeable and hard working young man. Im very pleased to know that there are guys like him in the towing industry. What cant i say, Daniel was not only helpful, he was very informative. I had to get my truck towed to a nearby mechanic and he asked me what issue I was having for my truck and I told him and he proceeded to put me at ease when he spoke of possible things that could be wrong. I cant speak highly enough for a guy like him. Thank you AAA for linking me with NK towing, but even moreso thank you NK Towing for hiring Daniel. What a professional! read more

AAA Emergency Services sent NK Towing to tow our wrecked car. The loss of our 22yr old vehicle was the most heartbreaking but we were able to find a very good home for her. Our technician Richie was AMAZING! He was early to the site and his truck and equipment were immaculate. Not only is he professional, friendly, personable and obviously very well experienced, he has a kind soul. His ability to empathise and generate a safe and 'everything will be ok' environment in what can only be described as devastating, is one in a million! We were very fortunate to have had him as our technician and NK really do have a very special team member on their crew! Thank you so very much for taking care of us. read more

Heater hose blew and leaked. Called AAA, they sent Mario Lopez with NK towing. My experience with Mario Lopez was amazing! I was a little frantic/ on edge as we all are when our vehicle breaks down/ Accident or tow, and was asking Mario about his job and why he was doing things. And I'm an auto technician so "I think" I know what I'm talking about. Idk about you but I get a little sideways when someone asks me if I'm doing my job right, but Mario Lopez happily informed me in a kind and intelligent manner why he was doing his job the way he was. That was a big deal to me in hindsight. We then had about an hour drive back to where he was towing my fiancé and I and we had wonderful conversation. I really appreciate Manny Lopez and the services he provided for NK towing to make a crappy situation into a good experience! Thank you Mario Lopez! I really appreciate you and the work you do! And I am of course, overall, TOTALLY SATISFIED! read more

AAA sent out NK to pick up our son's old Volvo and Truck Driver #101954 was awesome! It was clear that he was focussed on my interests, and delivered! I used AAA to call for a tow, and NK was assigned. In less than 15 minutes David arrived with a flatbed. It was lightly raining and I was parked on a curve on a residential street, so not a fun place to load a car without risk of being hit. He managed to do it quickly and hauled my car off to the mechanic. Since AAA has added a destination to the work order, I didn't have to accompany the driver which made us both happy! read more

It took 8 hours and 3 tow trucks to get my vehicle towed to a shop the other day. I felt unsafe and threatened by the second agent NK towing sent to my residence. Right off the bat he was demeaning, aggravated, and was shaking his fingers at me while talking down at me as if I was being scolded. I had to, for the first time ever in my life, ask him to leave my property. I did not feel safe, nor taken care of at all. This 8 hour day of back and forth with NK, AAA and just waiting around cost me over $100 in rental car fees and lost customers at my small. business that I own. A couple days later I had to have a second tow from the first shop to a second shop and requested my tow be covered due to the experience I had just had a couple of days prior. I was DENIED by the female representative that called me from NK. They did not provide one single solution, they didn't offer anything that they could do for me, only what they would not do. They didn't even apologize for sending someone to my house who was disrespectful and made me feel unsafe. When you call AAA make sure you ask which tow company they're sending. read more

When my Jeep broke down in Oceanside on the way back to Palm Springs from a camping trip, I called AAA of SoCal and they dispatched NK Towing. Their dispatcher called and was up front that there would be a delay due to high volume (luckily, I was stuck at a shopping center). Much to my relief, they arrived earlier than anticipated. The driver, Michael, was professional, courteous, and thoroughly explained everything during the entire transaction. He made the 100+ mile drive back to the desert with no complaints and the drop off was quick. Would definitely use again if ever stuck in a similar situation! read more

I was in the hospital and nursing homes long enough to where my battery would not start the vehicle. I was weak from a spinal infection, , unsteady on my feet and had a foley catheter. I called AAA. NK came out, jump started it, tested the battery, and said it would hold a charge. I let it run for an hour to build up a charge after the driver left. The next time I tried to start it, same thing. They` came jumped it again and left. I let it run even longer this time. It wiould not start again the next time I needed to drive. When they came out the next time I paid them to replace the battery. They had to jump start the new battery to start the vehicle. A new battery. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE END BUT IT WASN'T. They had to come out again anf jump it. I was pretty uset this time and when the new battery failed to start the vehicle the fourth appoiintent, I called and demanded they provide another battery with more cold cranking amps. Altogether 5 times I called and waited for them before I could drive my vehicle. The day before it was finally resolved, I had to pay a driver $55 to get me to Encinitas and back. I complained and they sent me a starbucks card. I guess my time, inability to use my vehicle and aggravation was only worth a cup of coffee? read more
